Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

We Decide Our Fate Empty We Decide Our Fate

Post by Jaquellene Jack Dyllan Sun Sep 01, 2013 6:52 am

Jack had read the paper and never had she so immediately decided there needed to be a meeting of the Order of the Phoenix. She quickly sent out the message, asking them all to meet her at eight o'clock that night at the usual place. After an hour of deep thought, Jack sent out a message to Potter's Army as well. This law would deeply affect them as well, and she did not care what the others thought of them. She had led Potter's Army and she very well knew the frustration of waiting around to know how she could be of help. There were numbers of Potter's Army, and they had nothing to do specifically. They wanted to help, and with this new law in place, they would be itching to be of assistance. She would not ask the group. She was leader because someone had to call the tough shots.

She was going to call the tough shots.

She looked at the group before her, as they all settled. "There are young faces here, because they want to be here. They are my guests and will henceforth be apart of our organization. I will not be swayed on this matter. If Potter's Army is to support us, we will let them support us. They are now apart of our numbers. Welcome, Potter's Army. I'm very glad to have you. You are welcome here."

She cast a sharp eye around all, for she would not have the youngsters undermined. And she hoped they made her proud.

She held up a newspaper. "Within the next month, almost anyone in this room who is at least seventeen will need to find a spouse. The Ministry has now decided that to control the population, they will be deciding how we live our lives, how we decide to personally conduct ourselves. If this is not the signal that the Ministry has overstepped their bounds, I think we must agree that we will never draw a line. No, it is time to argue the authority they have cast over us. I think it is time to remind the Ministry where the power lies."

She stared around, waiting around for a response, for there was sure to be one.

We Decide Our Fate Empty Re: We Decide Our Fate

Post by Joshua Alden Sun Sep 01, 2013 7:56 am

Joshua had fallen asleep on his couch. He was extremely tired since he had to clean his house. He woke up and started his day.He was making his morning coffee when suddenly a message arrived saying that there would be a meeting at eight o'clock. He had finished his breakfast when the paper arrived. He put a knut in the owls pouch and grabbed the the news paper. He started reading it.This was an outrage, the Ministry controlling their lives. He knew why Jack had ordered the meeting. She was right and he had to support her.He always had his doubts but that was for over thinking things. It was already eight o'clock.Joshua apparated in the Order's headquarters.

"Jack,I agree. This is not fair at all.Less for the young people."He was furious. He hated when things were imposed to him like that.He normally actually obeyed this things even if he did reluctantly he did obey them, but this was just out of line. They have no right to mess with his life it was already too messed up.He would have to marry somebody who he probably didn't love. The only good possibility he had was to get paired up with Hallie ,the girl he had a one night stand with, but what were the odds. Then he was thinking about the seventeen year-olds what would they do?He was seriously worried.

We Decide Our Fate Empty Re: We Decide Our Fate

Post by Nathan Mills Fri Sep 06, 2013 8:07 am

He was 250 years old. Not many creatures on the Earth got to say that...Infact he was as far as he was aware the only creature who could say that. Unfortunately though he was still mortal. While he wasn't entirely sure how long vampires lived for he knew it wasn't much longer than 300 years. So when he received a letter with clues to a potion that could grant him unending life he jumped at the opportunity.

He did not expect at the end of his quest to come face to face with Ne'Os Emof, the boy who broke prophecy. He knew another vampire was hunting for the potion but he did not know its identity. Sadly in the end the potion did not exist. All his journey served as was an adventure of the likes he had when he was younger.

He had only arrived home when he received her message. Before he knew it he had arrived in "usual place" and found it full of younger faces. While he usually thought of everyone's face as young these faces belonged to students.

He looked at Jack and gave her a smile. He would have to apologize for dropping off of the earth as well as learn about what had transpired while he was gone.

We Decide Our Fate Empty Re: We Decide Our Fate

Post by Amelia Macmillan Tue Sep 10, 2013 11:00 am

Amelia huffed as the leader of the Order of the Phoenix spoke. She fought the urge to flip the leader off or swear. She wasn’t really happy about her Potter’s Army being here. If they thought she was going to bend of backwards to help the Order they were going to have to think again. She wasn’t doing anything unless the rest of her mini-army shows up and can agree on anything. She could see why the Potter’s Army couldn’t keep leaders for very long. Hormonal teenagers just didn’t make the best members.

She wasn’t sure she wanted to be part of this Order. This Order had gotten her mother’s side of the family killed, wiped off the side of the planet. Her aunts, uncles, cousins, her great-grandparents and now her mother. If her mother hadn’t gone to the last meeting maybe she’d be alive. She had known her mother was in the Order but she never thought it would ever hurt her mother. She had thought her mother could defend herself against anyone. How wrong she was. She wasn’t sure she didn’t want to burn this organization to the ground. She’d just have to see what this meeting was like. She knew at least for this meeting she wouldn’t have to deal with her godfather, off in Germany dealing her father.

“That just it, it’s the Ministry since when have they been fair. All the care about is their sorry asses. They don’t give rip about any of us. Certainly not about any of us kids. Try to explaining to your fourteen year old brother that you are going to have to get married in the next year right after your mother is murdered,” snapped Amelia. She didn’t hold back glaring at the small group. She was angry at anyone she associated with ‘helping’ with the demise of her mother. Maybe it was a bit childish, reckless or senseless. She was still going to do it. She had lost too many people in her lifetime. Every time she saw a name she recognized in the Daily Prophet obituaries part of her aged. She was sick of watching the Ministry do nothing when people were killed on the streets. At the moment she was asking herself where the Order had been when her mother needed them. They had no know someone had been fallowing her. Her godfather knew, he may have known but it’s hard to stop something when it is only just one person trying to. There would have been two dead people instead of one.

We Decide Our Fate Empty Re: We Decide Our Fate

Post by Sophia Granger Tue Sep 10, 2013 3:02 pm

Sophia appeared with a pop in a back alley way about a block from Number 12 Grimmauld Place. Walking out from the alley way as if she was a muggle taking out the trash, Sophia walked down the quiet street before her eyes fell on the house before her. Quickly and quietly walking into the house Sophia settled into a seat across from Jack. "Please excuse me for being late Jack, had business to do at St. Mungo's."said Sophia.

Listening to what Jack told them, Sophia nodded in agreement. "I agree Jack, we should be able to decide our destiny not the stupid bloody ministry!"said Sophia angrily. "It's not right for us, and it's definitely not right for the kids to marry at such a young age, they have enough to worry about at Hogwarts!"said Sophia. Sophia was furious with this new marriage law, it was stupid and pointless and she knew people weren't going to follow it. The ministry would have to burn in hell before she married someone that she didn't love.
