What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Jonathan entered an empty compartment towards the middle of the train and placed his luggage along with Fenwick's cage into the luggage rack. He sat silently near the window, listening to all the bustling noises about the Hogwarts Express. He was happy to finally begin another new year at Hogwarts and was look forward to taking his O.W.L.s this year. He had heard some other 5th years complaining and worrying about it but he wouldn't allow that to get his determination down. Really, he just wanted to pass his History of Magic and Defense Against the Dark Arts O.W.Ls if anything; he didn't care too much about his other classes. Maybe he'll make a friend this year as well? He was looking forward to that more than his O.W.L.s that's for sure. Jonathan turned his attention to Fenwick, staring intently at his owl. "You reckon this year will be a bit more different?" he asked his owl as if it would talk back to him. Fenwick only tilted his head ever so slightly then returned to nipping the feathers under his wing. "I'm guessing that's a no," Jonathan sighed, now staring out the window and drifting off into his own thoughts.

It was another new school year and Cecilie needed to go on the train. At first she had to say goodbye to her parents and her twin siblings, they will come next year with her. She sighed and soon went onthe train. Since most of the compartment were already quite full then it was first one where she could go in. She didn't know boy but she didn't care. But way she didn't worry about her O.W.L's, she knew that she will pass them. Cec will be in fifth year too. "Hey, is it okay if I join with you?" Cece asked from boy before entering, she just had open the door.

The train hallways seem to tighten around Leonara Lynwood; the walls became smaller and smaller with every hesitant step. She passed door and door and door, wondering which she could venture into.

This was Leo's first year - a grand adventure just beginning. Leo was excited, but felt anxious about her future. Would anyone like her? Would she make friends?

Leo passed each door, merely stalling until she had to enter a compartment.

Jonathan slowly turned towards the voice he assumed was address him. He stared at the girl curiously. She looked like she was a fifth year like him as well no doubt. Was this a joke? Well, it wise not to be rude whether it was one or not. "....Yeah," he spoke up then gave a friendly nod.

He moved some of his luggage so that it didn't take up the entire rack. Fenwick gave sharp hoot in protest, not like his cage being suddenly moved right as he was about to fall asleep. "Hush," Jonathan whispered sternly at his owl. He sat back down in his seat and continued to watch the girl.

Leonara stumbled passed yet another door. She backtracked, sneaking a glance into the compartment. Leo noticed the boy and the girl. She looked towards the empty seats. "Um," she glanced at her feet. "Do you have any extra room?"

Jonathan peered over and saw yet another girl at the door of his compartment. She looked much more younger than him and the other girl; he assumed she was a first year. He hesitated for a moment. This would be his first time riding in a compartment which other people which means he might have to be social. Being social was his weak point.

He released a small sigh, pushing the thought away then nodded at the first year girl for her to come join them. He stared pulled out a book from his trunk in the luggage rack. It was one on Transfigurations, a subject he wasn't too good in. A bit of studying before school wouldn't hurt would it?

"Thanks," Leo grinned. "These walls aren't meant for halls - nor their fancy flaws, I think," She stared at the other students in the train. They were quite a bit older than her, but she felt it would only be polite to introduce herself. "Leonara Lynwood - please, call me Leo. Honestly, I'd rather be a lion than a fire, and a beast than a light. Sorry, your names are?"

Jonathan slowly glanced up from his book and turned to the much younger girl. She was outgoing and very enthusiastic, another thing he wasn't use to. "Jonathan Rutger," He said. He instantly turned his attention back to his book, flipping through the pages nervously. He was hoping he wouldn't have to make conversation but outcome seemed pretty slim.

He finally remembered where his class had left off last year; they had just started learning about vanishing objects. He soon found the vanishing chapter in the book and began to engage in reviewing the material. Hopefully it'll help him get a head start for his O.W.L.s.

"Nice to meet you," she smiled, looking hesitantly at the older students. "Well, it's a horrible day to be stuck on a train, yes? Weather like this deserves children to admire it."

Seeing that the other students ignored her, Leo bit her lip. She then burst out, "Sorry if I ruined the atmosphere! I... well, I don't really know what I'm supposed to do here. First year, see?"

Jonathan paused, eyes still glued to the book before him. Now he felt just a hint of guilt. He couldn't help it; the boy was so shy that he usually tends to ignore the people around him. He released yet another sigh then closed the Transfiguration book in front of him.

"I'm sure we're all aware that you're a first year," Jonathan spoke, sounding a bit cold. Since the girl was so eager to make conversation, he decided to just suck it up and go along with it. Might as well get to know the girl, she might just come up to him again later during the school year. "I'm guessing you're looking forward to all the magic and excitement that awaits for your first year at Hogwarts?".
