Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

It was cold in Hogwarts now, the bite in the air serving to remind Morgan that winter was well and truly upon them for the next few months. He didn't mind - he enjoyed winter. It had a quiet serenity that the other seasons lacked. Winter was uniquely suited for sitting inside and reading, or perhaps playing chess, and Morgan was perfectly happy with sitting back and doing just that.

It was late Saturday night, which meant the library was quiet. Tomorrow it would be filled with activity as procrastinating students began furiously attempting to squash two days worth of work into a few hours, but for now the massive, book filled room was completely calm save for the occasionally padding of cat paws on ancient wood. Tom was prowling the bookshelves, possibly searching for any mice unlucky enough to have wound up in the library.

So yes, the library was peaceful - and though Morgan hated to use cliches, he found it almost too peaceful. Morgan had been the librarian for over a quarter of a century, and over time he had learned that rarely did a day go by without the library facing some kind of crises, no matter how small.

Yes, he thought to himself, settling back with a copy of Magical America: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. It's probably only a matter of time.

Hidden away behind a stack of books in a corner of a dusty library, Alice was desperately trying to concentrate. It was about time too, as her potion's essay was due tomorrow and she had barely even started it. Not to mention the Transfiguration homework that was due in three days. Usually she was on top of things and would have had everything organized and done a long time ago. But she was too distracted now, studying simply wasn't in her priority list.

She took a breath and glanced at the students around her. The library was full of students as it usually was on every Sunday. Each and everyone one seemed to be very focused in doing their work, Except Alice of course, who was constantly playing with small pieces of her hair and daydreaming. She wondered was it even worth it trying anymore. She was just sitting there but got now work done at all.

It has surely been a thought few weeks for her. From fighting with her parents, to getting into detention, to risking someone else's life, it was a true chaos. The girl who had it all together was suddenly gone and was now replaced by someone who didn't really know what she wanted, but was willing to try it all. And somehow, no matter what she tried it was just never enough for her. She was searching for something bigger, larger. That search however brought her nothing but trouble for now.

Reaching for the lower book in her stack, she somehow managed to push the other books down and they went flying to the floor. "Damn it!" she said a bit louder than she intended too. Embarrassed of her word choice and clumsiness, she quickly got down to the floor and started picking up her books.
