Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Damn it. She thought as she bit her lower lip and rose from her seat. Why'd she have to get picked? She always hated being up in front of the class, she hated the attention. But she couldn't disobey a professor no matter how much really wanted too. She walked up to where the professor was and she glanced at Jack. Damn it. she thought again as she looked away and turned her gaze to the floor.

She even ignored the fact that Alex had come in. Usually just knowing that he was there was enough to piss her off and make her incredibly mad at him for no reason. But right now she was focused on the potion and the fact that she had to drink it once Jack put it in the vial. Hitamé raised her gaze to look at the professor when he mentioned something about parents. "I'm not worried about them." she said simply.

Bella ran to the Potions Dungeons, she was late, not once had she ever been late for a class. "Well," she said aloud, "there's always a first time for everything."

She sprinted into the Potions classroom, and said, "Sorry I'm late Professor, this third year, was running from a boggart, I had to defeat it," she panted, "then he hugged me, and I had to conjure disinfectant, and it's a long story.' She stood in the doorway awkwardly.

"Anyway, I'm sorry" she finally said and took a seat, this was not a good start to the school year. She sat alongside another fellow fourth year, called Hitamé, 'Hi, my name is Bella, nice to meet you" she whispered, hoping not to get caught.

"Uh, sure thing Boss."

Jack pulled himself out of his seat, his eyes surveying HItame as she stood up to go to the front of the class. She was a strong one, it seemed. He calmly walked towards the professor, his eyes darting back and forth, before he reached the seething cauldron. He would reach slowly for the ladle, and mixed it once around, before pulling it out of the pot, the drink dripping steadily down the bottom. He would look at the amount, before spilling a bit of the contents back into the cauldron. He grabbed for the vial blindly, before grabbing it roughly. Seeping the strange liquid into the vial, he slowly filled the glass about three-fourths full.

He slowly walked over to Hitame, before sticking it out for her to grabs. Quietly, almost silently, he breathed the word, "Sorry." to her.

Someone just kill me now please. she begged in her head. She hated having to be up there and being a test subject for the professor. He was probably going to enjoy whatever happened to her when she drank the potion. She was already starting to dislike him greatly and it was only the beginning of the year. That had to be a record for her on hating someone.

Hitamé glanced at Jack as he did as the professor instructed and poured the potion into a vial. When he held it out to her she hesitated in taking it from him. With a quick glance at the professor, she extended her hand and grabbed the vial from Jack's hand. She uncorked the vial and stared at the liquid inside getting a light scent of grass and flowers from it. She blinked and swallowed hard, bringing the vial to her lips.

She forced the potion down her throat and looked at both Jack and the professor. Hitamé didn't exactly feel that good anymore. There was a sudden strange feeling in her stomach and her mind was suddenly starting to get preoccupied with thoughts of Jack. And in all honesty she didn't like it.

Post by Aidan Willson Sun Sep 02, 2012 10:51 pm

Aidan was currently watching the Hufflepuff Prefect curiously. He couldn't tell what was happening to her, he wanted to see what it was. He just hoped he wasn't picked for anything. Then again, since he was only a first year, the Professor probably would have no idea who he was. Nobody knew who he was here, which considering what seemed to be happening to the Hufflepuff Prefect, Aidan was grateful for at that moment in time.

He then turned towards the other girl. The Gryffindor Higurashi he had heard, plus the guy who had gotten the detention before, though only the girl was drinking the potion. It didn't seem to be affecting her as obviously as it was the Hufflepuff girl, thought Aidan, but it was probably doing something to her mind he suspected. He tried to figure out what it was in his head, but he had no idea. It bugged him, Aidan didn't like not knowing things.

Amelia lost all control of her temper. Who did this professor think he was? If she was going to be one of his guinea pigs she was going to bite back. She knew that her mum hadn’t meant to stand up against a professor but doubted she’d be that mad after she stormed into Hogwarts. She knew her mum very well.

“Hey! Who gave you’re the right to insult people?!” yelled Amelia “My parents have done more good in their lifetime then you ever did!” She knew she would be in trouble but it was worth it. She wasn’t going to be walked over even by a professor. She could care less how this would end for her.

She had realized what she had taken by now. She could tell she was transforming but knew it won’t last forever. This was one heck of a day for her; it wasn’t going well at all. She was tired of people using her as a test dummy for new insults and now potions.

Welcome to the Dungeons, Children. - Page 5 Empty Re: Welcome to the Dungeons, Children.

Post by Saoirse O'Connell Sun Sep 09, 2012 9:56 pm

((OOC: Sorry for late entry. My character was just accepted today.))

Saoirse, for the first time in her young life, was actually resentful for the fact that she had made no friends on the train to Hogwarts. Surely had she put her foot forward for once, and sought out the companionship of others, she could have befriended someone who knew their way around the castle...or at least could have been sharing in the sheer panic of being lost within the labyrinth of halls which made up the castle of Hogwarts.

"Finally!" Saoirse thought to herself, recognizing the staircase which lead down to the dungeons.

Saoirse took the steps two at a time as she ran down the staircase into the dark and dank dungeon. She barged into the Potions classrooms, then froze as a raised voice echoed against the stone walls of the classroom.

"...lifetime than you ever did!"

Saoirse's eyes darted from the formidable-looking man, who must have been the Professor, to the young woman who had been yelling when she entered the classroom. Aware that she had picked the worst possible time to be bursting late into a class that had already started, Saoirse began to edge nervously towards the tables, hoping to find an empty seat very near.
