Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Why wasn't there a Hospital Wing in the dungeons? WHY?

Liesl was shivering as she stumbled down the corridor to the light and airy part of the castle that indicated she'd finally found her way there. She had got lost twice on the way here, though usually Liesl knew her way around the castle perfectly well.

The double doors to the Hospital Wing was closed. Liesl whimpered.

She leaned against them hoping to use her weight to push the doors inward, but instead ended up sliding to the floor kind of wedged between them with one door digging into her shoulder and the other into her thigh.

"Ummm...."

There was something she was here for. What was it?

Since classes were pretty much over with, Yumi had decided to help out at the Hospital Wing again. She'd been doing that since she started her internship under Sophia at St. Mungo's. So far, the worst case she had to deal with there had been seeing her best friend, who was like her sister, feeling so sick that she threw up on the floor. It hadn't been a pretty site but Yumi had gotten her a little bit better, for the most part.

Now on her way up to the Hospital Wing, Yumi was brought to a halt as she saw someone on the floor, leaning against the doors of the room. That wasn't good. Yumi hurried her pace to reach the girl who seemed to be too weak to even move the doors to open them. She kneeled next to the girl, immediately recognizing her as a Slytherin.

Not only that, a Dolohov.

She was the youngest of the Dolohov's if she wasn't mistaken and Yumi felt herself swear under her breath. "Liesl?" she asked the girl, wondering if her case wasn't so advanced that she couldn't hear what anyone said to her. It had already happened to another girl in her year, but she was a Gryffindor not a Slytherin. "Can you hear me?" she continued, before she pulled the girl closer to her for a moment so she could push the doors open. As she did that, she looked down at the Dolohov girl and she sighed. "Can you walk to a bed?"

"Mmmmmm."

Liesl's eyes fluttered open.

"In a moment," she managed to get out. "Tired."

Her eyelids drooped once more as, now that there was somebody else here to look after her, she prepared to pass out.

Yumi swore under her breath again as she noticed that the girl was probably going to pass out. This sickness was bad in her, and Yumi knew she had to do something to keep her from just quitting on her right then and there. She couldn't, and wouldn't allow that to happen, no more deaths if she could help it.

As she stood up straight, Yumi lifted the young girl in her arms and nearly ran to the nearest bed that was empty. She thought about the first thing she had to do, what had she been told? With her worry fort he girl's well being, Yumi found herself with her mind in blank. She sighed in frustration and then shook her head. Come on, think! This girl's life could be at stake! her mind hissed at her.

Finally something managed to click in her mind and she got her wand out. The first thing she had to do; bring the girl back to a conscious state. Reneverate she cast the nonverbal spell, with a quick flick of her wand.

Jerked out of her comfortable darkness and into the distinct discomfort of reality, Liesl was irritated, though not aware enough to quite know why.

For a moment, she was disoriented. She had already forgotten the walk to the hospital wing, so waking in a bed other than her own was unexpected. Not to mention there was a strange girl pointing a wand at her.

Another groan escaped her lips as she tried to form the words to tell that person to leave her alone. No matter how hard she tried, though, she couldn't summon the coordination to get her mouth to match up with her thoughts.

With no recourse, Liesl scrabbled under the blankets to reach for her own wand, though with all the strength gone from her limbs, and her ability to concentrate dashed to shards, it was a monstrous effort and waste of time. She still couldn't speak, anyway.

Something ran through her head and body as she looked down at the girl. She was feeling the girl's pain and it caused Yumi to wince a bit. She shook it off quickly and put her wand to the side. "I'm trying to help you." she told the girl.

Yumi wondered if passing out had made any difference to how she saw or heard or even smelled things. "Can you still hear me?" she asked her. "If you can, just try to make some kind of movement." she said, sensing that the girl was struggling to speak and move. She thought about what she could do to help the girl any further.

She was only an intern, and therefore she didn't know many healing spells. All she could do was try to have her drink some potions that St. Mungo's had given Hogwarts in case they needed them, which they did. Yumi walked to the cabinets of the Hospital Wing and began to pull out potions that she thought would help the girl.

Biting her lip, she went back toward Liesl and put her hand on the girl's forehead. Then she moved back to the potions. She began to mix them up making them turn into a lavender color. All those potions would make her feel better, but she had to make sure Liesl drank them.

Being unable to go back to sleep had cleared some of the fog from Liesl's mind. When she made an effort, she remembered staggering up to the Hospital Wing, but how long ago had that been? Days? Weeks? She did not know.

Liesl nodded to indicate she had heard. Perhaps now, if she tried to talk, she would be able to get something out, but she found she cared less about that now. Really, what she wanted more than anything else was to be allowed to go back to sleep. If she was good and did as they told her, maybe the healers would let her go back to sleep.

When the potions had been mixed enough Yumi walked back to the bed where the girl was. She put the bowl with the mixed potions on a small table next to the bed and she smiled carefully at the younger Slytherin. "I need you to drink this." she told her softly as she picked up the bowl again.

"But it might taste just a little bitter." she added softly, as she brought the bowl closer to her mouth. She really hoped that she wouldn't fight back and just drink it. They were already running low on these things, they couldn't afford to let someone knock it down and waste it before they had a chance to let St. Mungo's know they needed more.

The words got through to Liesl's consciousness and she didn't like the sound of something bitter. If her family could even afford to have a house elf anymore (apparently they had owned one, long before Liesl was born) she would have ordered it to make her dry toast every time she was sick.

Still, considering the situation, she was trying to be a good patient. Unlike some Slytherins, Liesl had had exposure to the real world. The muggle world, even. She could have acted like a stuck up heiress and poked out her tongue at the thought of swallowing something she didn't like the taste of, but she knew first-hand that muggles liked to put needles in people they tried to cure.

So she struggled to sit and let the girl tip the concoction down her throat. There was a little spluttering, because it was difficult to swallow when someone else was in charge of feeding you and when the concoction tasted like anchovies but in the end, it was managed.

Liesl let out a hoarse cough, trying to clear her throat enough to speak.

"Where's the healer?" she managed to get out a tiny whisper.
