Lollypops and Sugar Quils

It was a late in the afternoon and Kayla really wanted some candy. She ventured into Hogsmeed looking for her favorite sweets. “Lollypop Lollypop oh a lolly lolly lolly lollypop lollypop,” She sang and giggled as she skipped into a candy store. As she skipped though the store she bumped into to a few people while searching for the everlasting Lollypops and the sugar quills.
Today she wore bright electric blue skinny jeans, a bright pink tee and yellow converses. For accessories she had dug out a blue and yellow rubber wrist band, a speech bubble pendent with loved cut out of it and dangly heart earrings. She had also pulled her hair back into a pony tail which swished every which way as she skipped around.

Ellie was driven by her own whims and desires today. The boys had not been in the mood to hang out with her, but she didn’t mind too much. Foster had finally gotten the muggle video game he had been wanting, but Ellie had already beaten the sequel to it, so she was not too mad to try and beat the first- it would be too much a slaughter, she thought. So she made the solitary trip to Diagon Alley in silence, dressed to impress herself and a guitar strapped to her back, a book in her hands.

She was planning on finding somewhere simple to settle down and read or play her music. That had been the plan, yes, but sometimes life threw obstacles into her path; and one of those was the Honeydukes building. She stopped, staring into the windows as her red hair blew around her cheeks. Her eyes swelled with desire as her chest rose with a decisive breath.

You win this time, sugar.

She stepped inside and headed for the lollypop section. She found a large, rainbow lolly and immediately seized it. Yes, this would do. A soft melody reached her ears and she turned, looking around her as she tried to determine the source. Her guitar jostled people around her and she apologized softly. The source, a bouncy blonde girl, walked by and Ellie smiled. “Hey. I love that song.”

“Oh me too!” Kayla exclaimed smiling and picking up a few lolly pops and looking around. The sugar quills had to around her somewhere. She glanced at the girl who had spoken to her, “Oh you play?” she asked pointing at her guitar, “Do you know where the sugar quills are?” sighing she bounced away looking for the candy she had been determined to get and picked up a few more things on the way. Buy this time she had walked through the entire shop and still hadn’t found. She walked up to one of the store employee’s and poked their shoulder, “Do you have any Sugar Quills in?” she asked looking up at him smiling sweetly.

The girl responded with enthusiasm and Ellie smiled. The bubbly girl motioned to Ellie's guitar and asked if she played. Ellie turned her head and her hand lightly touched the neck of her treasured acoustic, who went by the name Franklin, and said, "Yeah, I do actually." Ellie loved her guitar and loved talking about music. The other girl, however, was distracted and inquired about sugar quills. Ellie's brow furrowed, trying to remember where they were. "Um... I think..."

But the girl turned and had already bounded away. Ellie shrugged, unhurt by the girl's indifference, and she continued browsing. Being a bit tall, Ellie was able to look over the heads of the younger students. A crowed was gathered around something and she craned her neck. They were all arguing over the use of spell checking quills. And that was why the other girl couldn't find the sugar quills.

"'Scuse!" Ellie bellowed, using her low voice as she barrelled through the boys. She grabbed a handful and then turned, scanning the crowded shop. She spotted her acquaintance and squeezed through the boys, pushing through until she reached the girl. "Here," she said, holding them out. "I found 'em."
