Crash Course in Destruction

Naomi was sick and tired of idleness, of being complacent and letting life wash over her like an icy shower chilling her bones and numbing her mind. Her passion had almost left. But she had separated herself from the pack the last full moon, a few weeks prior to this evening, and she had been re-inspired. Blood had flowed, cries had pierced the night, and Naomi had feasted. And that was when she realized- what was he doing moping when she could be destroying?

Beautiful. Simple. The issue had been so obvious, so apparent, right there in front of her the whole time. Things had been good before, and she thought it was because of Felix, but now she realized- it was blood that made hers boil, it was flesh that made hers tingle, it was howls of pain the fueled her voice. She had to get that back.

So here her pack sat before her, in one of the stone rooms in her basement; her original pack had arrived first, of course. Carlyn, the oldest of the group, slumped in his chair, dragging slowly on his cigarette. Hoover leaned against the wall, rubbing his eyes, trying not to look at Naomi. Nestor paced awkwardly, uncertain of his plans. Colby sat at her right, staring at the women that were not prone to running around with the pack.

The first was Alexis, who Naomi was still not sure of- she seemed too nice to really want blood. Her half sister Victoria showed promise. Rise... well, Naomi wanted her just to spite her perfect, darling brother Ariel. Naomi smiled. "I trust you are well, yes?"

Rise looked around the room nervously. She should be at school, she shouldn't be here, but here she was, in the midst of a werewolf pack.. a PACK! One that had asked her to be here.. like she belonged or something.. Everyone else in the room looked so.. calm, and not as fluttery as she felt, or must look as well. She kept twitching and looking around at the slightest noise, and anytime someone would speak, she would flinch and bow her head so as not to seem like she was trying to be over assertive in the room full of assertive werewolves.

Rise was pretty sure if she made the wrong move they would tear her to shreds, but at the same time, she was worried she would annoy them, and that would be even worse, so she tried to calm herself, took deep breaths, and forced herself not to touch her scar. No one else's seemed so.. visible, as hers lay directly on her chest, and ran down between her breasts. She made herself think of other things than the exposed scar, staring up at the ceiling and then glancing around the room as Naomi spoke. She wasn't sure who it was directed at, and so she stayed silent, not daring to speak unless directly spoken to, Naomi was the pack leader, so she had to be extra careful.. specially cause she was sure Naomi hated her.

Alexis stood in the room with her back against the wall and her arms crossed over her stomach. For someone who was usually all happy and smiling, today Alexis want like that. No, instead she wore a serious and stern expression. She glanced around the room at everyone there and sighed softly, tossing her hair over her shoulder. Her eyes rested upon a girl, Rise, for a while. She seemed to very nervous about being here and though she would usually say something to make her feel better, this time Alexis said nothing and merely raised an eyebrow at the girl.

She scoffed softly before turning her attention away from the girl and looking at Naomi, who had just spoken. She gave a sort of indifferent shrug before lowering her head and staring down at the floor. Seeing all those people in St. Mungos, some of them dying or dead, made her become somewhat detached from everything. If she wasn't like that, who knows how much she would've cried her eyes out. Though that way only ment for when she was in the hospital, it was actually how she was starting to act normally.

Naomi's grey dispassionate eyes trailed on Victoria's guardian, not trusting him, naturally, but also knowing that the bonds and ties of family blood would not let Victoria compromise the pack. Naomi's mouth twitched at Victoria's stern words and she tipped her chin, respecting her younger sister's wish. At least she had the balls to pick her ground and stay there. Alexis looked like she wanted to eat Rise up- good. The girl needed to be a little uncomfrotable. Colby smiled ever so slightly at Rise, his young face making it look warmer than intended. Good cop, bad cop. Naomi could not have planned it better.

Naomi looked around and suddenly said, "Nestor." He rose and her eyes turned to him. "Get everyone some Butterbeer, yes?" He nodded and conjured the drinks, passing them around. Naomi folded her hands gracefully and then said, "We have been too kind. Do you not agree? We have been too kind and we have not been unified. We run in a pack, some of us-" her eyes flicked to look at Rise, "and yet we are just running around yapping at each other like puppies. We need something to bond us. We need blood."

She stood up and glanced out a window, where the night sky was projected via magic- they were underground after all. She pointed at the moon. "People are afraid of the dark. We rule it. It's our kingdom. It's time we started acting like royalty." She turned around. "People are getting sick. The Ministry is distracted. I need you all to find a victim. Do what you please, but tell me what when all's said and done. I need dedication. I need your ideas."

Rise watched as the people started to settle down around her, and she could feel her inner puppy watching them all, in a restless way, almost like she was pacing, nervous and flighty as she watched them all, wanting to keep them all at bay, but to scared to do anything. Rise kept glancing between two different people, both of whom were looking at her. The first was staring at her, like she wanted to eat her, or tear her to shreds, or throw her into a bit of venomous snakes or something equally awful. The second was a kind looking boy, who was smiling at her, his eyes warm, like he was trying to be welcome, she instantly liked him more, and found herself edging closer towards him and away from the other girl.

When the butterbeers were passed out, Rise found herself taking her quickly and taking a sip, her eyes locked on Naomi as she spoke. But when she mentioned what they were supposed to do, Rise let out a squeak of surprise and nearly spilled her drink down her front, a look of fear and astonishment written on her face. "You.. You want us to.. to KILL someone?" She squeaked, her eyes as wide as dinner plates, her mouth open in shock, holding her drink in her lap, as she stared at the 'leader' of their group.

Alexis smirked a bit as Risé inched away from her. Her initial intention was not to scare the girl, but hey if she was scared that was good too. She knew how Risé felt though, bring the new girl among them, she had been in her place once when she was the new one in the pack. When the butterbeers were passed around, Alexis took hers and held it in her hands for a moment, before she took a quick sip. Her eyes fell on Naomi as she began to speak and when she mentioned what they were supposed to do she gave a shrug of indifference. Before she wouldn't act so indifferently, she would start freaking out because that was mentioned.

But she just didn't care anymore. Her attention was turned to Risé once more as she heard the girl speak out. She seemed so afraid of what Naomi had just said and Alexis merely blinked at the girl's reaction. That would have probably been her reaction before as well. She glanced up at Naomi, nodding at her previous statement and she looked back at Risé, taking another sip of the butterbeer in her hands.

Naomi had no sooner proposed what she needed of the pack when Rise freaked out and yelped out her questions like a wounded puppy. Naomi slowly turned her head to the girl, her eyes resting dead on her. Rise needed company. She exuded desperation for acceptance. She was terrified that she no longer had a place in society, and she had come because- even though she did not like them or want to be like them- she was more afraid of losing her only chance at company. If Naomi acted like Rise was blowing it, she would act in desperation.

Naomi's expression did not change but she turned her eyes back to the general group and said, "So. Any comments? Question? Concerns?" Alexis seemed fine with it, as did the male pack members.
