Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. A Peaceful Place to Day Dream Empty A Peaceful Place to Day Dream

Post by Maddie Kane Thu Apr 12, 2012 9:22 pm

Classes had just gotten over and Cecilia really had nothing to do as he aimlessly walked around the grounds. Off to one side of Cecilia sat the lake and off to the other side lay the forest. She shuffled her feet not really sure where she was going and not really paying attention to where she was going. Sighing she looked up at the sky which held a few big white puffy clouds. And she silently began to day dream about that one guy she couldn’t get off her mind. Though it wasn’t right for her to be thinking of him the way she did she couldn’t help it. He was good looking and he was smart, and even though she didn’t remember it they seemed to have a past. Slowly she began to smile and without knowing it she changed her path so that she was walking towards the paddock where she was sure to find him. She didn’t stop walking until she ran into the fence that surrounded the place where Care of Magical Creatures class took place. Cecilia Smiled as she climbed up onto the fence so she was sitting on the top rail. This place was quiet. There was no one around there were know first years playing pranks. There was no one yelling and laughing. It was peaceful.
Today the sixteen year old girl had on dark skinny jeans and a black tank top with a back that showed most of her back. As it was getting warmer her skin was getting a little tanner. So she didn’t look to pale as she sat there on the fence.

A Peaceful Place to Day Dream Empty Re: A Peaceful Place to Day Dream

Another day of classes was over and to be honest he was exhausted. Everyone thought that taking the classes and learning was hard. While that was true, it was just as hard to teach the classes. So many hours teaching, then getting the next class prepared during the night. It was all a lot of hard work. It could be very tiring, especially for a Professor who was still somewhat new. It was hard to gain the students' trust and attention all the time. But he'd gotten lucky, his class seemed to really like him as soon as they met him. He was a calm and collected guy and he was easy going, that was what a lot of students liked. But when he had to be stern and serious, he was, which made students respect him.

Jake sat at his desk in the classroom a bit into the CoMC paddock, soaking in the silence that surrounded him. While he liked to hear the chatter of the students in the paddock, he was grateful for the periods of silence he recieved after classes were over. It gave him time to focus on his lesson plan and what he was going to teach the students about. The nineteen year old leaned back in his seat and ran a hand through his long dark hair. He blinked hard a couple of times to get the drowsiness that had begun to take him over away. Jake pushed his chair bacl and stood up, not wanting to be seated and cooped up inside the classroom. He stretched his arms out and walked out into the sunlight that shone on the paddock.

Cecilia began to silently hum to herself as she watched the clouds drift lazily by. She swung one foot back and forth as she thought about the last time she was here after class. Professor Collins had let her ride the hippogriff. That had been the most exciting thing ever. It was even better than flying on a broom. Sighing happily she smiled to herself for she treasured her memory of that day. She hadn’t noticed when Jake came out of his office and was closer to him than she had been since that wonderful day. She let go of the fence so that she could pull her hair over her shoulder and run her hands though the ends of it as she hummed quietly and day dreamed.

With closed eyes, Jake lifted his head to face the sky and he let the sun hit his face. He was glad it was so quiet and calm in the paddock today. He really needed the quiet to focus on his lesson plan. Now that he was done with it, he enjoyed the warmth the sun brought him. His eyes opened as he looked up at the sky and he sighed, wide grin on his lips. He scratched the back of his head lightly and sighed.

Jake looked over at the fence of the paddock as he turned around and he was surprised at the sight he saw. He blinked a couple of times, thinking he was seeing things. But he realized that he wasn't seeing things and he smiled. The nineteen year old walked over to the girl and he stopped a few feet away from her. Good afternoon Ms. Krum. What brings you here?" he asked her. He still acted very polite and professional, he still was a Professor after all.

When Jake spoke he startled Cecilia making her loses her balance and fall over off of the fence. “Hello Professor,” She said standing up and straightening her shirt, “I was wandering.” She mumbled and looked down at her feet as she tucked her hands in her back pocket. “It’s rather quiet here when there is no class going on.” She looked up at him though her eye lashes and bit her lip, “and it’s such a beautiful day.” She smiled at him a bit and began to dust herself off. “You know you really shouldn’t sneak up on someone like that. It could be very dangerous.”

Jake seemed to wince a bit as Cecilia fell off the fence where she sat and he looked over the fence to see her. He extended his hand to her, but she already started to get up and dust herself off, so he retracted his hand quickly. He raised an eyebrow at her explanation of why she was there. "You were wandering? And that led you here, really?" he asked, leaning in toward her a bit. "You could have easily gone to the lake, couldn't you?" he inquired, before laughing a bit and leaning away from her again. He sighed softly and nodded at her comment. "Yes, it is pretty quiet here. I like it like that, its peaceful." he told her. He chuckled at her next comment and shook his head. "You're right. It could be, but you should really not be day dreaming here, especially when there is a large chance that I am here." he pointed out softly.

“Think I had been by the lake at one point.” Cecilia said nodding her head, “but I guess I just felt drawn to here.” She mumbled as an ending. She pushed her hair over her shoulder away from her face and looked up at him as he told her that she should not be day dreaming there “and why is that? Would you care to explain Professor?” she said giving him a slight smile before climbing back up on the fence and waiting for his reply.
As Cecilia smiled at Jake she couldn’t help but notice how good he looked. It was wonderful how while standing there he seemed to look almost perfect to her with his long dark hair and big brown eyes. She looked down at the ground for a moment knowing she shouldn’t be thinking these things but she couldn’t help it.

Jake smiled at her and shook his head. "Because, as you said before. I can be quite dangerous." he told her, finding that his face was now close her hers once more. He felt as though he was trying to tempt her, or rather himself into doing something must not be done. He chuckled at himself and leaned away from her once more, before he did anything either of them would regret in the future. He looked up at the sly yo occupy himself so as not to stare at the younger girl and he sighed once more. The shining sun made his eyes look brighter, causing them to go from a chocolate brown color to a hazel brown. The breeze picked up at that moment and made his hair flow upwards a bit, something that usually made him feel uncomfortable as he remembered people saying it made him look feminine. But right now he didn't care and he looked back down at Cecilia. "Tell me Ms. Krum." he said. "What did you expect to find here exactly?" he inquired.

“Nothing really,” Cecilia said though it wasn’t the complete truth. She had expected Jake to be there since it was his class this is where he should be. “I didn’t really know where I was going. I kind of let my feet take me where they wanted.” She said quietly and looked up at the sky. Was he catching on to her? Did he know she kind of liked him? Did he know she found him attractive? They could never be together and Cecilia knew this, so why was she thinking these things? She couldn’t help it. “Maybe I came here to find myself…” She whispered not looking at him, “The one from before my accident, the one who could remember.” She glanced at him out of the corner of her eye, “Professor, that day in Hogsmeed you seemed to recognize me, and then again the first time I showed up in your class. Why is that? Did I know you well before my accident?”

"Hm ..." was all he said in response to what she had answered him. He looked back up at the sky, remembering the times from before he graduated and was thrown out into the real world. He actually missed being a student in Hogwarts, he also missed the friends who never left him alone and he always ran away from. There were so many good memories he had from the school, maybe that had been what led him back, only this time as a Professor. He glanced back down at Cecilia as she inquired a question he knew would come sooner or later, and he sighed. "Well actually I did - I mean I do know you." he told her. "We met last year, before my graduation." he explained. "So it would be logical that I recognised you, wouldn't it?" he asked her softly.
