Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Roxi had tried and failed to order a Firewhiskey. No amount of pouting, begging, pleading, batted eyelashes, or attempted Jedi mind tricks swayed the bartender. She had not had a drink in awhile. They needed a party around here- that's what they really needed! Ah, well. A Cherry cola would do just fine for now.

Roxi really had no shame in her choice of outfits. This particular outfit seemed to be very popular among those at the Leaky Cauldron- she was not sure if it was the highlighter yellow pants or the cat shirt that was attracting all the attention, but Roxi did not care. She was getting attention, and she was happy.

She raised her hand and ticked her head. The bartender took a few moments to notice her, but the entire bar was staring at her by the time he had turned around, looking confused and asked, "Yes?" She smiled and dropped her hand. "Do you have a straw?" He began to look through drawers before handing her one. She smiled, leaning forward and spinning on her seat. "Thanks!"

She looked down at it and her brow furrowed. She raised her hand again, and he slowly turned back. "Yes?" She blinked. "It's not a bendy straw!" A few people around her snickered as the barman went about searching for one.

Maya's outfit

Maya hobbled into the leaky cauldron. She wore her hair up in a bun like she would have if she were performing in a ballet on stage. She wore a blue leotard along with a two toned blue skirt. On her feet she had one hello kitty flip flop and the other leg was enveloped in a cast. She had decided to accessorize with all black and white jewelry. With a grim look on her face Maya sat next to a red head girl who seemed to be causing a lot of trouble for the bartender. When he handed her a straw it wasn’t good enough for her and Maya rolled her eyes. “Only little kids require bendy straws.” she mumbled under her breath.

Roxi felt someone sit next to her and heard them mutter something. She pulled her eyes away and continued to watch the bar man, humming a jaunty tune to a song she could not lace- probably something Katy Perry, Roxi's latest phase. She liked to refer to Katy Perry as her girl crush, just because the woman used to be so pretty (still was, just old) and she was so talented.

Finally, the barman brought her the bendy staw and she giggled, leaning forward and looking up at him, giving him her cheesiest smile- scrunched nose, squinty eyes, tongue poking out of her teeth. "Thank you!" He walked down the bar and she straightened up, turning in her chair and almost spitting out her drink as she faced the new girl. "Oh no! You matched the exact shades of your clothes! Fashion faux pas!"

"I put on what way easiest to get on over this stupid cast," Maya said glumly looking at what this girl was wearing. “If I would have warn something much like you are now. Sadly I could get skinny jeans on. Haven’t been able to for a month or two.” she flagged the bartender and ordered a butter beer. There seemed to be a permanent scowl on Mayas face as she sat there in the leaky cauldron. She had been like seriously depressed since her little accident while dancing. Maybe she should have let the nurse in the hospital wing magically heal her leg, but she didn’t like the idea of it. She thought that letting them do so would destroy her future even more.

Roxi's face stared at the girl in melodramatic horror, eyes wide, eyebrows high, mouth open.. it even looked like her eyes were shining, as though she were tearing up. She shook her head slowly. "You poor, poor, brave, sad soul," she whispered, swallowing. She put a hand on the girl's arm, suddenly struck with inspiration.

"I know what to do! We can go shopping! I can find you some skirts that would fit over that horrid cast!" She stood, jumping up and down. "C'mon, it'll be fun! I'm Roxi by the way." She kicked out a leg and struck a jazz hands pose. She giggled and continued jumping.

“Shopping? With this thing?” Victorie asked raising an eye brow at the girl, “you don’t realize how hard that could be. This thing ways like a ton.” she watched the girl as she introduced her self and Maya smiled a little. “I’m Maya,” she said quietly. Then turned to pay for her untouched butter beer and picked her crutches “Never have to use these things. They are horrid.” she cocked her head to the side as she watched Roxi jump up and down. “could you stop that for a minuet?” as her head bobbed up and down as the girl did.

At Maya's request Roxi stopped, staring at her. She suddenly giggled and took in a deep breath, before saying, at top speed, "One two three four five six seven-" She gasped and sped up, "eightnineteneleventwelvethirteenfourteen-" Her face began turning read as she hit the thirties, then purplish as she made her way into the forties, and her eye began twitching in the fifties. "fiftyeightfiftynineSIXTY!"

And with that she gasped and began jumping up and down again, pulling out her own money for her drink and bendy straw. "Where there is a will, Maya, there is a way. We will make you look GORGEOUS! Weird-leg-thingy or not!" She dashed out of the pub, holding door open. "There's some awesome thrift stores around here!"

Sighing Maya got up placed her crutches under her arms and hobbled after Roxanne. The found it obvious that this girl wasn’t going to take no for answer. There was no reason to try and say no when it was right there in plain sight. “Thrift stores are cool,” Maya said, “I guess.” she had always done most of her shopping a stores that sold things for ballerinas and other dancers. There was only a few times you could find her in any other store. “you take things people say very literal.” Maya commented as she walked out the door of the pub.

Maya followed Roxi outside, which brought a triumphant grin to the redhead's face. Roxi liked to think she brought out the best in people- or at least, she was persistent and annoying enough to get them to bend to her will and do whatever she pleased. She hummed a pleasant, jaunty tune and began bouncing down the street, a wide smile on her face.

"Thrift stores are the absolute best!" Roxi confirmed. She pulled on her cat shirt and grinned. "This was a thrift store find. So were the boots!" She kicked one of her boots up and giggled. At Maya's words, Roxi grinned. "The world hates metaphors 'cause they're vague. They hate being literal 'cause they're the world's too vague anyway to really know what they're talking about!" She giggled. "People," and rolled her eyes.
