Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

Basic Class, Lesson 3 Li9olo10

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Basic Class, Lesson 3 Empty Basic Class, Lesson 3

Post by Zara Ellis Sun Jan 30, 2011 1:36 am

To say the very least, Zara was pissed. Not only had she been moved from one class to the other, she had been forced to join a class where the LAST teacher, hadn't even left a class lesson plan of any sort, just a list of who was in the class. Zara glared at the board for a long moment, it simply had PROFESSOR ELLIS, written across it in large letters. She sat behind her desk, rapping it with her fingernails, staring at a Charms book. Zara had been pretty good at Charms in school. It wasn't one of her best classes, nor was it her worst, she blended into the crowd in this class, did her work, got a passing grade, took a NEWT class on it, nothing special, but there was no way she had actually thought she'd be TEACHING it in her life. Seeing as teaching wasn't her fortay, killing and torturing.. that was another thing, but teaching kids who were naive and didn't know their proper place in the world.. well it pissed her off.

Zara pulled out her wand and unlocked the door and it flew open with a bang, which startled the students who had lined up outside, heads poked out from behind others to look into the classroom as they filed in, and made their way to their seats, a few of them whispering to each other as they sat down. Zara waited until everyone was in, and then flicked her wand at the door, and it closed with a sharp snap. The room went silent, and Zara slowly stood up. The fire was behind her, and the room was pretty dark. "Hello class.." She said lightly, her hand clenching her wand as she moved from in front of the fire so they could see her properly. "I am Professor Ellis, You're new Charms teacher.." She said and let that sink in.

"As far as I can see, you're last teacher was a nitwit.. and didn't know how to keep records properly. So I have no idea what your lesson plan was from her, or what you've already done, so I will start off today's class, with the simple question. What have you already done? Knowing Basic level classes well enough, I know it's hard for you to understand what I'm saying..." She said lightly as though it were a simple thing to say. She flicked her wand and her question replaced her name on the board. "What have you already done? Anyone? Anyone?" She asked and strolled out from behind her desk to walk down the aisle between desks and back.

Basic Class, Lesson 3 Empty Re: Basic Class, Lesson 3

Xemnas walked into the charms classroom. This was his first time ever in charms so he was really nervous. He didn't know what to expect,if the teacher was nice,if she was mean,if she was strict. Then Xemnas started to worry about the class.Whether it was easy, hard,Long, tiring, boring.A bunch of adjectives went up his head.Especially since he was the first one there. He would've said hello to her but then Xemnas would've felt like a kiss-up.He sat in a seat, took out his pen and notebook and waited for Professor Ellis to give the instructions.

Basic Class, Lesson 3 Empty Re: Basic Class, Lesson 3

Post by Samuel Grigori Fri Feb 11, 2011 12:49 pm

Sam walked into the classroom, unfortunately late, as most of the ((NPC)) students appeared to have already arrived. "I'm sorry miss, I lost track of time, it was completely accidental, and wont happen again," he told her.

In all honesty, he had not lost track of time, he had known he was running late, and had readily accepted that, for he had been winning at the game of Gobstones, and had in fact won, hence why he didn't smell bad right now, poor Andrew, he'd not been so lucky. He didn't regret it, and it probably would happen again, but what did that matter, winning was everything, right, and unless the teacher had the ability to read minds, he was in no danger of being caught.

Basic Class, Lesson 3 Empty Re: Basic Class, Lesson 3

Post by Jack Kubin Tue Mar 29, 2011 12:12 am

Jack sprinted down the halls, and threw the door open, standing in the doorway, panting, and in a stance like he was ready to make a run for it. He stammered and apology for being late, and quickly made something up.

"YOu see miss. My Transfiguration Professor wanted to keep me after class because I had a report due and she wanted me to do extra. I am extremely sorry."

He said it hastily, stammering only a few times. He thought it made a bit sense. Jack shrunk in his seat and waited for the teacher to answer him.

Basic Class, Lesson 3 Empty Re: Basic Class, Lesson 3

Lucy put up her hand, just as a courtesy. This new teacher seemed pretty strict, but definitely more cool than the last one. At least she intended to teach them something.

"Practically nothing," she answered. "I think we've learned the levitation charm about three times now."

"And when I say 'learn' I mean 'heard a boring lecture about'. To be honest, most of us only come to this class for the extra sleeping opportunities," she added.
