What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Friend?... Or are you Foe? Empty Friend?... Or are you Foe?

Post by Guest Thu Nov 11, 2010 2:38 pm

Sally was walking around London, her eyes a blazing from all the traveling she does. She is constanly on the go and it was tiring her out. She stopped in front of a book shop filled with muggles not caring and walked in confident. Sighing as each book was boring and lifeless she walked back out and headed to a bench that was near the book shop and sat down to think of what to do next.

Jack sat in the book shop with the Daily Prophet in front of him and a warm glass of Coffee. He was tired and was about to head back into work, but decided he would get a little reading done and some relaxing before he headed back in. He needed to rest every now and then, he was always working and never got a chance to having any time to himself.

As he took a sip of his coffee he noticed someone sighing as they looked at books. Jack put his drink down and watched as she pulled book after book off the shelf and put them back. This seemed like an odd thing to him and he was unable to process what she was thinking. This was always hard for Jack because he liked to be able to read people.

When she left, he folded his paper and tucked it under his arm and followed her. He was surprised to see she only went out to a bench that was nearby. He shrugged his shoulders and decided what the heck and made his way over to the bench. He casually sat down and opened up his paper and began to read without saying a word. He remained this way for a few seconds before he finally spoke.

"The entire book shop and you could not find one interesting read?"

Sally watched as a guy had followed her out of the bookshop and took a seat next to her on the bench. She watched as he read his newpaper and then started to talk. It alarmed her to know he had been watching her while she was in the bookstore "You were watching me?" She said shocked. She couldnt think of what else to say to him. To her he seemed liked your avarage everyday stalker.

She watched him waiting for his reply, He wasnt bad looking. A bit scuffy though, but not bad at all. "I wonder why he would follow me" she thought to herself wondering. He sure was, whats the word... Werid? no thats not it... Maybe a tad bit... Oh it didnt matter what he was, he still followed her and that bugged Sally a bit.

Jack closed his paper and put in in his lap while . He let out a hum that sounded like he was saying "Hmmmmm." when she asked if he was watching her. His outgoing personality was something that got under a lot of peoples skin, so he was used to people reacting the way they did. He was very investigative and he liked to call people out and see how they would react. He would push the limit as far as he possibly could before someone would just snap on him.

"More like... observing." He smiled and he stuck his hand out in a friendly manor, trying to clear the air a little bit. "I am Jack Wickim. We are in broad daylight and there are people around." He shrugged his shoulders and looked around a bit. "I do not think you have anything to worry about." He was trying to play friendly so that she would become less suspicious of him.

Sally looked him over, he was giving her a werid vibe. She watched as he stuck out his hand and offered his name. She shook his hand "Sally Emerald. And Im not worried." She said making a face. What would she have to worry about? She would have nothing to worry about since she was a Death Eater but that didnt matter it wasnt like Jack would ever know. She lowered her hand and looked around trying to see if she knew anyone. Nobody, not even Sophia was around, sighing she looked back at Jack "So... What do you want again?" She asked him

"Pleasure to meet you Sally."

Well, at least he knew her name. He liked to make a mental dictionary of the people he met... just in case. It was in his experience that he could run into the next big thing, or the next big serial killer. Plus it was always good to know people. Being in the field he was in, it was always good to know who to deal with. He did not get a feeling that she could be any threat, but then again he had been wrong before.

"Oh I do not want anything really." He returned his gaze to the street, looking at all of the people who were passing by. He thought about how she so confidently said that she was not worried, wondering why she was like that. He did not dwell on it long though, what was the point.

"I figured you could use a little talking to, no?"

Sally nodded "As well to meeting you." She replied back and then nodded once more. It was a bit strange sitting there talking to someone after two months of not talking or having contact with anyone, but it was good to talk she guessed. "Sure I guess I could." She said agreeing that she could use a little talking but didnt know what to talk about.

Jack nodded his head and sat quiet for a moment. It was fall and the leaves were beginning to change, and there was a slightly cold breeze about. He enjoyed fall, it was his favorite time of year. It was not hot and the cool air was something he rather enjoyed. He liked winter alright but he hated spring because it made his allergies go absolutely bonkers.

"So Sally, where are you from and what brought you here?"

He liked to be direct and to the point. No point in beating around the bush. If he was going to talk to someone, he would rather do it directly. He did not like to play coy and pretend he was something he was not. If he was someones enemy, they knew. If he was someones friend, they knew.

Sally felt the cool fall air blow past her trying to chill her. She pulled on a blue sweater over top of her red tshirt and sighed. She didnt care much for the cold, she usually got sick and she hated to be sick. "Im from her, I went to Hogwarts years ago. "When she said that she felt old it really wasnt years ago only about eight years ago since she was twenty-four. "What about you?" She asked him back
