Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Lesson 1 - Basic Level Empty Lesson 1 - Basic Level

Post by William Winston McCoy Thu Sep 09, 2010 1:05 pm

Another school year, another bunch of new and old students... Every year the same, but every one of those years he enters these classrooms with a smile on his face and joy in his heart because of the classes and the opportunity to teach new wizards and witches what he knows. The lesson plan and the working methods are still the same, the classroom is still empty... but the latter will soon change. Professor McCoy took his seat at the front desk and waited, scrolling through the enrollment list for this year.

Luna stepped inside the nigh-empty class, only the Professor seemed to be there so far. She had all her things with her, including the textbook. She watched Brienne practice Transfiguration when at home, usually with animals involved. She hated the idea of turning animals into objects and vice versa, but she got over that when Brienne told her that the animals weren't harmed during the process and were happy to be used like that. It wasn't necessarily true, but she believed it.

"Hello, professor! Great day, isn't it?"

Lesson 1 - Basic Level Empty Re: Lesson 1 - Basic Level

Aurora walked into the classroom. "Hello Mr. McCoy." She said coldly. She handed him the note just as she did any other teacher and sat down at her normal desk in the back. The note read,

Dear Mr. McCoy,
Please take it easy and slow on
our little Aurora. She has been
Having many problems Lately.
If she seems to be mad and all
Please excuse it she doesnt mean
to be mad.

Thanks,
Mr and Mrs Rolanders

Aurora looked at the front of the room tiredly. She looked so depressing and sad. Her eyes showed no emotion what so ever.

Lesson 1 - Basic Level Empty Re: Lesson 1 - Basic Level

Post by Lucy Weasley Thu Sep 09, 2010 11:42 pm

Lucy slouched into transfiguration. Her day just got longer and longer, busier and busier. And of course, there was Aurora. Was it too much to ask to have just one lesson without that wretched Gryffindor?

By now, Lucy was over it. She ignored the bothersome girl and took a place near a window, where she could look out over the quidditch pitch. Transfiguration wasn't exactly her best subject, so the window would be a good way to distract herself while she avoided her work.

Sammy walked into the Transfiguration class room, hoping for a Professor that had nothing to do with DE's. She saw that most of the kids from her earlyer classes were all there. This was going to be a long day. But at least in this class she would be able to help Aurora more. She really wanted to help the poor little girl. She felt like she could atleast do that for her. Sammy looked around for a seat and decided to sit next to Aurora this time. If anything happened then she could help her. Sammy opened her books, pulled out some parchment and a writing quill. Then looked over at Aurora. "Hey Aurora. I'm sorry about what happened in the other class." Sammy said not wanting to push her luck.

Aurora spoke not one single word. She didnt really know what to say. Her mind was racing with sadness but she looked worse than mad. Her anger was getting ahold of herself again but then she snapped out of it quickly and realized sammy was there. "Oh uhhhh hey sammy... I really dont need help. My god parents said its easier to overcome by ones self then it is to be helped." It was true that her parents said this but no one really knew how she was to overcome all of this.

Transfiguration... it wasn't one of Sam's favourite subjects, not by a long shot, but the teacher was simply one of the best he'd had. Walking into the classroom he grinned at the professor and gave him a nod. "Hullo Professor," he said cheerily, looking around for a seat. Not quite sure where he would fit in he saw a girl who looked reasonably nice, Samantha, and sat next to her.

"Hi, My name's Sam," he said, reaching out to shake her hand, "I've not seen you around here before, though i'm not too observant," he told her with a chuckle. "Mind if i sit with you?" He asked

Sammy frowned when she heard what Aurora had to say, but she knew that this was just the way that Aurora is. She smiled up at Aurora. "Ok, well I was just wanting to let you know that no matter what I'm here for you. Just ask me for anything and I'll do my best. Ok?" Sammy asked her, then turned around when a boy introduced himself to her. "Hello. My name is Samantha Burns. It's nice to meet you to. Sure I don't mind you sitting next to me." Sammy said shaking his hand, then turning back to Aurora. She could only hope that she was making Aurora feel like she had at least one person to turn to.

Aurora heard Sam talk. "Hey sam.. I'm Aurora." She then quietly looked to the front of the room. She didnt know if she should try to talk to anybody when at any moment she could explode. She hoped that this would get past her soon or she would deffinately explode and maybe get in HUGE total trouble. If she got in trouble her life would be 100 percent ruined.

Leanne dragged her feet boredly all the way from the dungeons not really knowing why does Hogwarts have so much floors and stairs. "Hello Professor McCoy.." she said talkative as she caught her breath back and walked into the classroom. There were already a few people in there. At least i;m not late.. she thought for herself as she sat down and took her books, ink, quil and wand out on her desk.
