The Three Broomsticks

Alice was in Hogsmeade again, she just couldn't be away from this place more than a week. It was morning, she came here just after she had woke and ate some sandwiches. Now she walked on street, passing other people, who looked pretty tired. Maybe they weren't used waking up so early? Alice stopped for a moment, to look in Quiddich stuff shop, but walked away, because there weren't any new brooms. Sad. Alice almoust passed The Three Broomsticks, but went back, opened the door and entered. It was quite chilly there, it was good, because it was summer. Warm day. Alice ordered herself one butterbeer, payed for it and then went to one open table in the corner, next to window and wall. She sat, opened the butterbeer, took a sip and then looked at other people, who were there. Her gaze was a bit sad, because few weeks ago she go a letter from Zakk, where he broke up with her, but soon she hid her emotions. She didn't cared. Anymore.

It was, yet another, boring day in London, so Julia decided to take a trip to Hogsmeade. No matter what she was feeling, this place always made her feel better. Especially a trip to Honeydukes, they had the best candy around, it was one of Julia's guilty pleasures. But today, she didn't feel like drowning herself in sweets, she just wanted to relax for a bit. The best place to do this? The Owlery, of course. But it was filled with teenage couples who were snogging and exchanging spit; not Julia's forte. So she had to stick with The Three Broomsticks. It was cool in there, which was great compared to the hot air outside. It wasn't as full as usual, but that was probably because it was early in the day. Usually, people would hang out here around the evening and nighttime. But, now, it was barely the afternoon, and it was strange for Julia to even be out of her house at this hour, never mind at Hogsmeade.

Julia had been tossing and turning all night, her head filled with stress. She couldn't help thinking about the sappy love novel, she had read during her trip to The Black Raven Bookshop, and how she could so easily compare herself to the main character. The one who would fall in love with her boyfriend, and, over time, fall in love with her best friend as well. It was sickening, really. She could never expect something like this to happen in real life, but to experience it herself was a different story; she felt nauseated now. She didn't want to think about it, though she knew she'd have trouble with it.

Julia ordered a butterbeer for herself and searched around the room; there were many vacant tables available. She stopped at one particular table. It seated a familiar bleach blonde haired girl that she remembered from school, she was sitting alone. Julia took this opportunity in her hands and walked over to her. "Hey, Alice! Long time no see" She chuckled, "Mind if I sit here?" She asked, referring to the seat across from her's.

Alice was just thinking about the things, she had to do, after she will leave The Three Broomsticks. She had to go to bookshop, buy some books about Egypt history, then buy some candyes for her brother from Honeydukes... she knew, that she had forgotten something, but she couldn't remember it right now. She raised her gaze from her butterbeer, when she heard a familiar voice. "Hei, Julia. Yeah, you can sit," she said. She was pretty good friend with Julia, and there weren't any open seats anymore, so ofcourse Julia can join with her. She was happy to have some good company. Alice sipped her butterbeer and asked: "So, what are you doing in here?" By 'here' she meant Hogsmeade, and, ofcourse, The Three Broomsticks. And it was early.

Julia smiled and took the seat gladly, with her butterbeer in her hand, she sat. She opened her drink and took a few small sips from it, listening to Alice as she spoke. "Me? I was just overly bored, decided to relax for a bit. What about you? Why do you look so down in the dumps today?" She asked, noticing Alice's look of sorrow spread across her face. She could tell something was wrong with her, but she didn't want to discomfort her by asking, she hoped she hadn't offended her for any reason. It had been a while since she had talked to Alice, since before the school year ended. She remembered hanging out with her in the girl's bathroom, annoying Myrtle. Those were good times, fun times.

Alice took a sip, listening to Julia's talking. When she heard questions about her and her mood, she smiled a bit. "I come here at least once a week, I can't just... stop coming here," she answered the first question. She had a break before answering the other one. "I don't know. Maybe because of the summer and stuff," she said, sighing. She had never liked summer. It was too warm... and people were so happy! Alice wasn't in happy mood at all. She hated summer.
