Khaat saw Faelan forming a weapon, too, and she had no desire to be at the end of it. She had a rather simple strategy for avoiding him. She simply apparated out of his way, keeping hold of Rob to take him out of the way along with her, to keep him out of harm's way as well. She reappeared with Rob across the room.
It wasn't very imaginative, but it did seem to be effective at the moment. She felt her father's spell reinforcing itself around her and Rob. "Avada Kedavra!" she fired her wand at Faelan. "Sorry," she apologized to Rob quickly, "I just really am not in the mood to lose either of us today to a few punks who are still wet behind the ears. " Her eyes drifted up to the beam above her where Jen was about to be engaged in a knife fight. She was about to ask Rob if Jen needed help, but she noticed the sparkle in her eyes. Jen was having much too much fun. Yep, she was doing just fine on her own. That earned Jen a few respect points in Khaat's book. "Use your leglimancy, Rob," Khaat suggested very softly in his ear. "That seems to be how he's ordering his bunch. It might give us an edge or at least reduce his."
