Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Broken hearts and Like Minds (Christy and Marco) Empty Broken hearts and Like Minds (Christy and Marco)

Christabelle sat in one of the oversized armchairs in the Ravenclaw common room. She had been staying in a perpetual state of drunk on either fire whiskey, the drought of peace or both. Tonight it had been both. She curled up with a book, her yoga pants covering her feet. She had the arms of an oversized sweatshirt pushed up towards her elbow as she flipped the page in the book. It had been a journal she had been keeping since coming to Hogwarts. She knew she probably shouldn’t have been reading it but something had compelled her to.

It had seemed wrong for her to leave Nick like she did. As much as she hated to admit it, she hated him for what he was leading her to believe but at the same time she couldn’t help but still be in love with him. She still even wore the ring he gave her. It weighed heavily on her left ring finger but she didn’t care. It was a piece of him to her that she could carry with her.

Marco climbed the spiral stairwell to teh Ravenclaw towers. He was heavy hearted as he thought about the events since his arrival. The ministry was after his families fortune....which was massive, and he was basically trapped here at Hogwarts. At least the Headmaster had a good reputation as a fair man; even if a lot of the policies weren't quite understandable. Werewolves and Vampyre in the castle with the humans... he actually found something to grin about; a chance to battle with no holds barred... well that and that boy he'd met, Godric. His God.

He recited the answer to the riddle posed at this entrance and pushed through the portrait covered entrance. He climbed up and let the "door" slam back into place not really caring what anyone thought. He was disgruntled and confused. He did take a moment to look around sheepishly, turquoise eyes taking in the forlorn girl sitting in the chair, lambasted.

A diversion! He recognized her from the encounter in the Kitchens when NaLa had decided to escape and he had met God. Christabelle he said her name softly as he approached. He needed no explanation, his emapathy was on high alert; but he knew she needed someone to listen; who would listen and not judge or try even to fix, just hear her.

He pulled his red canvas converse off his feet and tossed them beside the fireplace where he would find them replaced by his bed in the morning by the disgusting if not efficient House Elves. He ran his hands down over his black skinny jeans and set on the floor near her feet. He tilted his head to the side and tugged at his body hugging red t-shirt, it had an emblem on the front of a Japanese charicter which said Seme, if anyone could read it. Talk to me, I'm here to listen.

She looked up at him as she heard him call her name. She adjusted the way she was sitting causing the beautiful day lily tattoo that was on her foot to show. It was a lovely piece of work indeed, shocking to some who knew her that she had it. She honestly wasn’t even sure if Nick had noticed it before. It wouldn’t have surprised her, she did after all hide her feet behind dainty and extremely beautiful shoes.

She tucked a stray curl behind her ear and bit her lip. Just him offering to listen was causing her to have to fight to break down in tears as she pulled out a vial and downed it. Just a nerve calming potion. ”I’m fine Marco.” she said lying to even herself, ”Something I put myself into anyways. You don’t want to get caught up in it I’m sure.” she was sure no one would want to get caught up in the confederacy after they had witnessed what she had seen. She would forgive Nick eventually but she didn’t know if they could ever be more than what they are now. Just the idea that if he could kill his sister he could do the same to her without a second thought.

Marco looked at her calmly, his face only concerned; that he was cold anc calculating was not an issue for the moment, he had a heart and he chose his moments to use it. All the same I offered to listen and you need to talk. Your aura is fifty colors of grey and black. Do you know what that means for you? Talking can clear a lot of the negativity, you might even find you enjoy the release. I promise I am capable of anything you have to share, and though I know you only have just met me, I assure you what you say will go no further than my ears, unless you directly tell me otherwise. A bit of fire crossed his eyes as he spoke, and his face revealed his honesty and fealty of his words. He would never give up another of his circle, and by some miracle she too had won favor from NaLa.

If she refused he would be foreced to share his own dilemma, for perhaps that would be the tradeoff, she could help him understand God... and he would be her confidant for the moment.

She listened to him speak. She honestly didn’t care that she had developed such a aura of negativity and until her heart was mended she’d probably keep it. Since at the moment she knew her heart wouldn’t be mended until she forgave Nick it would stay like that forever. ”You probably will want nothing more to do with me or my cousin if I tell you what is the cause of me being like this.” she replied her eyes full of fear for what would happen if she had told anyone what had happened. ”I was the one who had to go identify my fiancé’s family when they were murdered by a pack of werewolves.” she said her face looking sadder as she spoke on it.

She pulled out a flask of fire whiskey and too a deep drink from it before she spoke again. ”I brought his two year old sister back to him. She had been biten. Slept the whole way back to our home in little Hangelton.” A single tear fell from her cheeks. Nick’s sister had been so adorable, ”When I got up to our room and told him what happened he asked for a few moments alone with his sister…Of course I did as he requested, they had both lost their parents after all.” She wiped her eyes on her long sleeve to keep the tears from forming her voice had started to crack a bit. ”He killed her the second I left our bedroom. I couldn’t stay there, I guess I kinda left him in that aspect…Other than classes I haven’t seen or spoken to him sense. Godric barely speaks to me anymore because of it…H..He and I are practically twins. Born on the same day and everything.” She was crying harder now as she spoke, ”Why do you want to be so nice to someone you barely know anyway?” she asked curiously.

Marco watched transfixed as she spoke; first everything congealed darker black, but then he saw it shift...concern, love, connections; but protection overall. He would not want to know about their doings? They would never guess what he was capable of. He let it go for now, to interrupt even to interject would stop the paltry flowing of her thoughts. He could see how deeply she needed this, and he would take asll the time necessary to allow her to speak. Her words and emotions were sad, remorseful, yet still desperate with love. There was hope for the relationship, she just didn't know it yet. He softened his features appropriately for her to continue. He was almost sorry to hear the strain of her voice when she admitted the coarseness of the relationship he most was interested in.

He knew not to press for anything about Godric, instead he would be sowing seeds of comraderie and friendship. He never had many friends, but he felt she would play a part in his future. He composed his thoughts to address her direct question. He knew that any answer but honesty was a problem, so he answered with the truth. Usually I am one to find a weakness to exploit it, I am not one known for taking in acquaintences that do not benefit me. I see you as a powerful entity, as well as someone who could be a firm ally. I won't lie or try to placate you, I have found your plight truely intriguing. I do have a heart, and I know sometimes you give, because it will come back upon you. Karma, Kizmit, Fate... call it what you will, but I know that my being your confidant is a good thing. In my future I will look back and see this as a defining moment. I know not what the future holds, nor why, I just know this is truth. Also I am a man who follows what he sets his mind to do. I have vowed to listen to your story and offer you the solace of confidances shared. I will follow through.

To him it really was as simple as that. He had promised to listen and he would honor the promise made only to himself.

She laughed a little as he said this. She had seen the way Marco had looked at her cousin and had already seen where they would end up eventually. ”I see the way you look at my cousin.” she said looking at him, ”You’ll end up with him as far as I know you could be getting into my good graces to get into his.” she said as she stretched out a bit. She had been sitting in that chair for several hours now not moving so she had to get up since her legs were starting to fall asleep. She leaned back stretching until her hands touched the ground. Just for the heck of it Christy pushed her feet off of the floor holding herself up. It was something she hadn’t done in a while and someone would probably think it was weird of her but she liked to be in contorted positions and such, especially when meditating. She loved yoga but hadn’t practiced in the last few days.

”But I don’t think that’s the reason you’re being so nice to me.” she said as she placed herself back on her feet. ”I’m pretty sure I would know by now if that was the case wouldn’t you say?”

Marco's grin was the hundred watt variety, I wasn't very stealthy then, I shall have to work on that. But as for our pairing, it will be decided by Fate and nothing less. He interests me, and I know he is open minded to the option, but does he favor me? Time will tell. I apologize for sounding haughty, but to get into your good graces is not a counter measure to ensure his acceptance of me. Being your friend has it's own benefits, you have your own strengths and I would never overstep my bounds as anything more than a friend. I am truely Homosexual, you would have no truer friend. I sense a kindred spirit within you, but I remain your servant, of a sorts. I am nothing more for you than an ear to listen, and a voice of honesty. I would never lie to you, nor decieve you. NaLa already approves of you, and he has a better judge of person than any other being I know. I accept you as an equal, nothing more nothing less.

He looked at her poise and balance and he saw other options open with accepting her as a comrade, she would be a deft sparring partner. Stealthy and agile, truely a good choice. He said nothing further knowing that truths need be spoken only when necessary, otherwise they become flatteries and deviances. Instead he waited for her to resume a normal posture weighing just what her words meant to him. How did he feel about this Godric... that was a comraderie he would need to think long and hard about. With her it was easy and fluid. He accepted her as an equal. With Godric, an equal might not be enough, and it may be more than the other was truely willing to give.

Christy smiled a little bit at that thought, a servant of some sorts. She already had one bound to her by an unbreakable vow. In fact at that moment right now he should be out killing his Aunt Bellatrix. She smiled darkly at the thought. Being in the Confederacy of the Light had changed her indeed. She really wasn’t as innocent and sweet as she had appeared to be the first night she had come to Hogwarts.

”Well I could always use more people around me.” she replied smiling, ”Especially since I have lost my two favorite body guards at the moment.” She wondered what would happen if she mentioned why she had needed body guards. One because of who she was with and what their cause was. She was as high up as you could get in their little secret society without being Nicholas herself, ”You tend to need them when you’re the daughter of the German Minister of Magic.”

Broken hearts and Like Minds (Christy and Marco) Empty Re: Broken hearts and Like Minds (Christy and Marco)

Marco weighed her avoidance, she had not fully said what she had meant to just now but he decided that to point this out would be counter productive. She would say what she had meant when she was ready. Bodyguard,?He smiled at t he word, it was a joke surely, I might suggest you for mine, I think you rather unseemly to need one; daughter of a Prime Minister or not. I rather think you could hold your own againnst me or any other you chose to trifle with. His words were not meant to be rude, nor flattering. He merely spoke the truth to her, he knew that to do otherwise was wrong. He was no servant, and he wished her to understand this.

He paused for a moment before continuing, I will stand beside you to fight if need be, do not get me wrong, but I am not a man who fights needlessly as wasted energy is pointless. Depleting yourself in trivialties leads to lack of strength when needed. Whatever you might need protection from, you are not so weak as you make yourself to be; adn I full well know the dangers lurking in this castle. Creatures who roam at night, and not for mere sport but to hunt; and beings controlled by the cycle of the lunar orb. Mingled with the humans to turn at will. Kill or be killed, a pity this establishment has come to. His words grew dark and his tone deadly. He had revealed too much of his own animosities... too late to rebuke it. He had told her where he stood, now would she the same, or would she hide behind her "status." What was her real motivation, why was she conceeding to be his comrade? She knew he was Gay, she had just learned he would not subserviate himself to her, but would ally with her, and she now knew his views on the greater population of Hogwarts. Now to wait for her reply. He smiled in spite of himself, he had meant to only calm her, get her to talk adn now he had befriended her. What was becoming of him indeed!
