What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

She was sitting at a table reading a lovely book that she bought a while back. She hadn't had time to start reading it so she decided to pick it up today. She orginially came in here to just enjoy a cup of warm tea but ended up staying for at least thirty minutes longer than she intended to. The book started off well and she couldn't put it down. Ariella didn't even notice the people coming in and out of the sweet filled shop. She was quite engrossed in the world that the author had created.

She turned the page as she took a sip of her tea. The story was just picking up it's pace. I should leave soon. She thought to herself as she continued reading regardless of her thought. Ariella pushed it aside as she continued to read. She didn't really have to be anywhere but she should leave soon. The former Hufflepuff knew that the place was started to crowd because the noise level just went up a notch. There were children in there begging their parents to buy them a little treat, and the adults chatting it up with their friends whom they decided to meet up in this store.

Ariella didn't like places that were too loud if she was trying to read something. She needed a new spot for reading. Hogwarts would have been nice but there were always a group of teenagers somewhere. The library at Hogwarts would be full of them, some of them are actually there to study, while others aren't. Ariella found it annoying to be around so many teenagers all the time. She didn't understand how the professors were able to handle them so well. She lifted her eyes from the page and idea popped into her head. The room of requirement! Why didn't of think of it before? She thought. Her eyes scanned the store and found a familiar face in the crowd. She looked and a shiver ran down her spine.

The person she saw was none other than Elizabeth Blackburn. She never liked this woman and hated her from the beginning. She hid her face with her book and tried to use her hair to block her face even more. The girl wasn't even reading at this point, she was just trying to hide herself from that woman.

The day was coming to an end when Elizabeth finally finished her job. She put on her warm coat before locking the shop. Checking if she brought everything, she opened her umbrella, and started walking through streets of the Knockturn Alley.
The weather was live image of her feelings. It was wet and windy and cold, the streets were almost empty. It was like the dementors were close. Instead of going home, Elizabeth decided to take a walk to Diagon Alley, maybe even sit in some cafe. Time was passing slowly and the weather was getting worse, so after about ten minutes of walking she decided to take a break at Sparks.

Before entering she used her wand to dry her stuff. Closing umbrella, she walked in. The bistro was full of people but luckily there were still a few of free tables. She walked over to the nearest and before she set down she put off her coat. Waiting for waiter, she looked around. The place was full of people and she even recognized few of them, including the girl with the book sitting nearby her. She needed some time to remember the name but eventually she did. Though she was six years older, she remembered Ariella Rhodes as well as she remembered every other person she had met.
As much as she can be arrogant and rude, she had never harm people who are that younger than she is, at least not on purpose. But the girl probably knows her as an ice queen who enjoys destroying others just so she can have fun. It wasn't like that at all, but Elizabeth didn't want to spoil reputation she had.

Moving her gaze from the girl, she noticed waiter coming to her table. One small thank you came out of her mouth accompanied by a pleasant smile. Her mood suddenly became much better. Enjoying the coffee and cake, she was watching kids running around. She couldn't resist saddest smile ever as she remembered her daughters. In an attempt to divert her thoughts, she glanced toward Ariella. Strangest expression flew over Elizabeth's face when she saw the girl hiding behind her book. It was that bad that she needed a moment to realize what's going on. Realizing that the girl was hiding from her, Elizabeth smirked. Taking her stuff, including coffee and cake she stood up and headed toward girl's table.
"You do realize that I can still see you, right?" she said while she was sitting across of Ariella.

Ariella was quite engrossed in her book that she didn't even notice that it had started raining cats and dogs outside. It's a good thing that she already expected it to rain today, so she had an umbrella stashed in her bag. The girl always liked to be prepared for the day. She kept herself informed about the weather and about many other things that are going on in the wizarding world. Ariella has a stack of Daily Prophets in her room, that she has yet to throw out. She has cut out some important pieces to keep.

Ariella remained calm as she tried to read her book, hoping that the woman who just ordered something from the cafe recognized her. She averted her eyes back to the page and saw that she's been on the same page for way too long, she even lost her place. Great, I lost my place. She thought to herself as she tried to scan the page trying to see where she had stopped reading for a bit. She was about to turn the page when she heard someone coming towards her table.

The voice caused a chill run down her spine. She thought she wouldn't hear her voice again for a long time. She didn't work at Hogwarts, that Ariella was grateful for. If she did the former Hufflepuff wouldn't know what to do. Ariella cleared her throat as she lowered her book to reveal her simple smile. "You're talking as if I'm hiding from you." She said calmly as she took a sip of her tea. Even her tea tasted a little bitter.

"How's life?" She asked simply after she added a little bit of sugar to her cup. She kept her book open, hoping that the woman would leave her to her book soon. She didn't want to talk to her. She was just being nice right now. Maybe just a little small talk and she'll leave. Ariella thought as she took yet another sip of her tea.

It's great to see you too, no not really Empty Re: It's great to see you too, no not really

Elizabeth didn't care about other people, that was the fact. It wasn't that she hated them all, actually she hated just a few of them. As strange as it was, she actually liked most of them. Not liked like they meant something for her, just admire them in some ways.
For example, she never did a single thing to Ariella. But the girls is watching her like she's the biggest enemy. Well, maybe she is. Looking back in the past, Elizabeth smiled. She never did a single thing to anyone from the school. She was just cleaver enough to choose the correct words. She was actually very polite, but somehow she would always get what she wanted.
Smirking, she looked at the book before moving her gaze back to the girl.

How can she hate someone she never spoke to? She can't. But no one says she won't as soon as she ends this conversation. Ariella must have heard the stories back in the school. And judging by her reactions, Beth assumed she heard exaggerated versions of the stories. She couldn't care less.

"Well darling, it looked that way. Are you? Do you want me to go, it's not problem really." she said quickly, with her worried expression. Inside, she was laughing.
"Well, you know how they say, it can always be better. Of course, my life is always good because, well, it's me!" she smiled brightly before continuing "You can't be bored when you're Elizabeth Blackburn. And even when my life is boring, I always have people around to watch. You have no idea how much informations you can get by only watching!" she nodded. Ariella didn't look happy while Beth was talking, and that's the only reason she talked too much. She just wanted to see for how long can this girl stand. "But to be completely honest with you, it can always be better. I haven't seen my girls in long time, I'm becoming miserable. But, it's a good day! So how's your life?"
One thing was sure. Elizabeth had no intention of leaving soon.

It's great to see you too, no not really Empty Re: It's great to see you too, no not really

She looked at Elizabeth straight in the eyes not daring to tear them away. Ariella already knew that she wasn't to be trusted and will most definitely not be one of her inner circle of friends. The girl never really liked her when she first heard her talk and saw the way she carried herself. Her un-trustfulness might come off as hatred sometimes, and she knows its not the best way to make friends but what can she do in order to protect herself?

Ariella smiled again, "Now, why would I do so such a thing." The girl said calmly as she took another warm sip of her somewhat bitter tea. She asked if she should go. Tell her yes. Ariella told herself, but she hesitated. "No, you just got here. It's quite alright if you want to stay." The younger girl shivered on the inside. She didn't want her to stay but she wanted to be polite.

The girl mentally eye rolled when she heard Blackburn say that her life is going well. It isn't because she's not happy for her but the fact that she had to add something to make it seem narcissistic. So she smiled in response to her answer, and continued to smile as she rambled on.

She finally finished. Ariella kept her cool when she heard Blackburn ask her the same thing. "Life's been pretty good." She answered simply before taking yet another sip of her tea. "You said you haven't seen your girls, do you mean friends or daughters?" Ariella was just curious, maybe this conversation will be uncomfortable for her, if it is, score.
