1. the horrible torture the Carrows inflicted on Michael was flaying his back. Because Madam Pomfrey grew the skin back, he doesn't even have scars.

1. Jack has a very strong magical root somewhere in her ancestors. It's why she and her half-brother were magic, as well as her two cousins, despite all having a significant amount of muggleblood, Jack being a muggleborn herself.

2. Jack's not really a mom to Sunny or Goose, nor does she have any pretensions of this, nor do they. She's much more of a cool aunt. Cool being a very lose term.
