It was Summer time, which was a season that Sophia hated with a passion for many reasons. One reason why she hated it, is because she can't stay out long for the sun would burn her. But today is a perfect day for Sophia, the sky was gray and cloudy with a chance of rain. Sophia loved rainy days not just because she got to stay out longer, but she just loved thunderstorms and the smell of rain. Not that Sophia didn't like a hot day in the sun, she just liked rainy days better.

Today Sophia was shopping around for some new summer clothes seeing how she outgrown her old ones. Sophia couldn't believe that she was now 5'7, she grew a good three inches over time. Walking down the crowded street of London Sophia looked from shop to shop looking for some nice summer clothes that she liked. Although she already had two bags in her hands, Sophia felt that she needed more clothes that were other then summer clothes. Seeing a store she liked Sophia walked into the store pushing the door opened as the bell tinkled aboce her.

Walking further into the store Sophia seen a pretty dressed she like and smiled before walking up to the counter. As she reached the counter she gave the sales women a soft warm. "Yes I would like to get that dress that's in the window please."said Sophia softly. "Would you like to try it on before you get it?"the sale women asked before she walked over to the window and brought it back to Sophia. "Yes please, that would be nice."said Sophia softly as the sales women nodded.

"The dressing room is right around the corner."said the sales women as Sophia nodded. "Thankyou."said Sophia softly as she gave the women a soft warm smile before heading to the dressing room. As she did she bumped into someone while heading to the dressing room. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry are you ok?"Sophia asked the girl softly.

Mira knew she shouldn't be shopping. Her sudden cut off from wealth hadn't really registered in her brain. Mira's old hobbies were dying hard. Sure, she was back with Krum (who had somehow managed to retain almost all of his old weath despite their similar situations) but she didn't want to count her chickens before they hatched. Anything could happen between them. That was the only thing she was certain of. But it finally felt.. real. Mira had settled herself in the manor and had been amusing herself with exploring the grounds during the days. She had also spent a lot of time reconnecting with Athena. But now the girl was off running to some tropical paradise with Kendall Rookwood, leaving Mira more or less alone for company.

With nothing else to do, Mira had returned to her oldest and dearest friend - the shops. She was searching for nothing in particular, just browsing though racks and occationally pulling off garmits to try on in the dressing rooms. So far in her hands she had already gathered a couple really cute summer dresses. They were in the muggle fashion but it didn't really bother Mira at the moment. She had grown to appriciate their style and clothes. In fact, muggle clothing took up most of her extensive wardrobe. Mira figured she should probably stop being so bothered by the muggles now that she had taken such an effort to remove herself from pureblood society (at least for now).

Mira examined herself in the dressing room mirror. She looked good. Unfortuneatley the lack on coins jingling in her purse made her second guess. With a scoul on her face she took off the dress and slipped back into her other clothes. She was wearing a simple pair on white shorts that made her legs appear slightly tanned and a robins egg blue floral tank top. Slipping her black raybans back over her eyes and grabbing her purse, Mira exited the room. With a little more force than was nessisary she slammed her unpurcheshed clothes onto the rack. Just then she was ran into by a familior looking girl. She slid her shades up onto her head to better see her as she apoligized, Mira raised her eyebrows.

Sophia Granger. A lazy smirk crossed Mira's lips. It had been awhile since the two girls had met. They had met in Hogsmede and nearly gotten into a fist fight at the beginning of the last school year. Mira had felt much younger than her then.. like she was at a serious disadvantage. But now Mira was graduated too and it gave her a flase boost of confidence. Combined with the frustration at her life, she was looking for someone to take it out on. "You." she said with a sarcastically sweet smile. "Just fine. I love being almost run over." The nicer person that lived inside of Mira was rolling her eyes. It had been too long since she had had an old fashioned fight. Maybe poking for a little disagreement was exactly what she needed to get her head back on strait.

Sophia looked at the person she rain into and rolled her eyes, it was her worse enemy Mira Anderson. "Oh fancy seeing you again Mira, gotten alittle older I see."said Sophia giving her a sarcastically sweet smile. "Wow... fianlly a graduate huh, let me guess you feel alot more confident seeing how your a graduate?"Sophia asked her smirking. Man this girl was more pathetic then she remembered. Sophia remembered how they almost gotten into a fight in her seventh year.

There was something about Mira Anderson that she just didn't like, it probably because she pretended that she was to good for anyone. Sophia didn't like person like that, for they annoyed her which is what Mira did. Mira was the type of person who thought she was better then everyone else cause she was prettier. That was one of the reasons why Sophia couldn't stand her let alone be around her. It was like fire and rain, they just collide with each other. Or in other words, if they gotten together like they would now it would cause chaos.

Mira's smirk widened. "A little older, yes. But another year wiser." On some days this didn't even feel like a lie. Mira had calmed down a lot over the last year. First Elijah's brief commitment had given her reason to act more or less normally. Then when they hadn't worked out her determination to be someone that he would miss had also acted as an unspoken regulation of her actions. And over the months she had stopped having those insane desires to destroy people emotionally. Miseria's genuine goodness took partial credit for that. Being around such an amazing person all the time had given Mira an unintentional good influence. But now, standing in front of one of the people who made her blood boil all those life lessons seemed to be evaporating rather quickly.

Mira wasn't sure what it was about Sophia. She had heard tales of the older girl in school. A vampire with a heart of gold. Brave in battle and loved by everyone. But when the pair had finally had the pleasure of meeting there was just something about the girl that Mira couldn't stand. Maybe it was the very thing that everyone else liked so much. That do-good attitude and core belief that she was the better person. It was arrogant in all the wrong ways. The way that Sophia talked to Mira made it clear that she though she was better than Mira and Mira couldn't stand it. Mira had long ago lost any faith in the ideas of good and evil. She believed that all people were just people with both strengths and weaknesses. You could never expect someone to be 'good' all the time - it was physically impossible.

"But I see that doesn't apply to you, does it?" she said, continuing her though from a moment ago. "You're still picking fights that you have no change of winning." Mira's smirk deepened, eyebrows raising slightly in a taunt. Mira knew what she was doing. Sophia hadn't really been picking a fight with her. But the blonde couldn't help but start something anyway. Her brain was yelling at her to stop. Apologize and walk away. But her smirk just deepened.

"I see that, a bit more calm then the last time we encountered each other."said Sophia smirking. Although Sophia found it hard to believe that she really changed, due to the fact that she was still cocky and arrogant. Someone like Mira Anderson being good she found it hard to believe, there was a better chance of pigs flying. Although people do change, but she didn't think someone like Mira Anderson could. Although she could be wrong, but she higly doubted it.

Sophia figured the reason why her and Mira didn't get along was because they were different in so many ways. Sophia always tried to do good while Mira was well... that was another story Sophia didn't care to share. Sophia always thought Mira was jealous of her for she was what people say loved by everyone. Was jealousy the reason why Mira hated her so much? Sophia didn't know but she just knew they hated each other guts. People like Mira couldn't stand for she thought her beauty could get her everything she wanted and she always thought she was better then anyone else.

Sophia's eyes turned read in anger. "Apparently you have it the wrong way my dear."said Sophia smirking. "Oh I know I'll win, as for you I hardly doubt you have a chance."said Sophia. As far as Sophia was aware, Mira was always the one to pick fights and walk away or apperate like a scared little chicken. Sophia changed alot since Mira last saw her, she wasn't the teacher pet bookworm anymore. Sophia been through alot, more then Mira probably imagine but then again she was to young to understand.

Mira didn't like the way Sophia watched her, trying to read her feelings and thoughts. It made her uncomfortable and, more importantly, angry. The know-it-all tone to her voice seemed to be designed specifically to get under Mira skin. As she commented on Mira calmness Mira couldn't help but think I'll show you just how calm I can be. Already she found herself sizing up the other girl, her brain searching for weaknesses. Sophia was older, stronger, and probably better at both offensive and defensive magic. Mira had always been a powerful presence - manipulative and dangerous. Someone who could tip your will in whatever direction she wanted. Those skills gained her some respect and could often be more dangerous than any spell. But if it came to a fight Mira couldn't exactly charm her way out of Sophia cursing her.

Hexes. Mira could do that. Especially ones relating to physical appearance. Large boils, red hot skin, antlers, ever-runny noses. Distractions. Defense against the dark arts had always been her weakest class and standing here now she was really regretting it. But like always, her arrogance overlooked the poor odds and her voice maintained a level smirk. It seemed to confirm the feeling that Mira thought she was better than Sophia in every way.

"Is that a challenge, Granger?" she asked, raising her eyebrows tauntingly. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Miras subconscious chimed in. The repercussions of this could mess everything up now. What if she came home with noticeable physical damage? Or worse, Elijah could be notified by St. Mungos. She could be risking their future together by resurfacing her crazy side. But adrenaline was starting to flow into her blood and there was no stopping what was about to happen. Mira removed her wand from her purse, holding it firmly in her right hand. She stepped forward so the tip was poking into Sophia's side.

"Let's take this outside."

Sophia smiarked at her. "No it's not a challange Anderson, it's a fact."said Sophia giving her her a sickly sweet smile. As she poked her in the side with her wand Sophia's eyes turned a blood red with more anger that she was feeling. "Gladly."said Sophia as she gotten her wand out of the inside pocket of her jacket and twirled it around with her fingers. Sophia wasn't afraid of Mira one bit, for Sophia was older and stronger then her.

The fact that Mira Anderson thinks she could beat her was just to funny to Sophia. Sophia was a excellent student in Defense Against the Dark arts as well as dueled in various battles. Sophia seen many curses and hexes and came close to death so many times Mira was just dirt on her shoes. "This is going to be easy."Sophia thought to herself smirking.

Little did Mira know that Sophia improved alot in her dueling and her spell work, she worked with Robert and Brian some. They helped her alot in dueling and improved her fighting. "Well... I'm waiting Anderson, hit me with your best shot."said Sophia smirking at her.

The two girls walked a few paces to the back of the shop in silence. Over the door hung a faded, cobwebby EXIT sign that glowed a menacing red. Mira pushed it open to reveal an inclosed dirty backyard (if your backyards were made of concrete and dirt instead of grass) that contained nothing more than a couple partially filled trash cans and various newspaper pages blowing around on the ground. With a flick of her wand she silenced the alarm that had been about to sound from inside the store. The relatively wide open space was so perfect for a duel that it almost seemed like it could have been put there for just this purpose.

"Ten paces back." she called in almost a singsong tune, like she was merely reciting something she had heard one too many times back in school. Mira sauntered across the back lot, her hips swinging in exaggerated motions, like she was nothing more than a shallow highschool cheerleader. Setting her clutch and glasses on one of the trash can lids she turned back to face Sophia. "Bow." she half instructed, half recited. Mira gave a mocking half bow in the direction of her opponent. Her old teachers would have been so disappointed in her. As she rose Mira muttered to herself "Annnnnd.. fire away." With this she snapped upright and shouted -

"Sagittis!" at which at least a half dozen glittering golf arrows soared out of Mira's wand tip and shot like missiles at Sophia.

OOC: Okay, so that spell didn't have a known incantation so I just made one up. It's latin for arrows. Because I'm clever like that. Also I finally made her outfit (:

Sophia rolled her eyes at her but she walked ten paces back like she learned in school as well. Sophia bowed back at her but before she did Sophia seen arrows heading towards her. But Sophia being the good duelist she was reacted to the spell. "Protego!" as the shield came around her and blocked the spell. "Pretty good Anderson, but you have to do better then that."said Sophia clapping at her.

"I must admit you gotten pretty good since the last time we dueled, but not as good as me."said Sophia. "flagrante delicto!"said Sophia as she sent a ball of flames heading quickly towards Mira. "A good duelist always has tricks up their sleeves."said Sophia smirking at her. "Although I learned how to improve my dueling by two great wizards."said Sophia. "Although I'm still learning and taking lessons, I think I'd improve have you?"Sophia asked her giving her a sickly sweet smile.

[like yours this had no descirption so I made it up as well. you know what Flagrante meand but delicto means to burn the skin.]

Distracted by the blind fury that was building within her, Mira didn't see the fireball heading towards her until it was almost too late. Instead of grabbing for her wand she dove to the side, avoiding the flames. The heat from Sophia's fire singed the side of Mira's blouse, leaving it slightly melted and blackened. The shirt hadn't been that expensive but it's certain destruction infuriated Mira beyond reason. "B!tch!" she screamed, grabbing her wand (that had fallen to the ground in her roll) and springing back upward. With a abrupt swinging motion through the air Mira shouted "Affligo!" and the jet of bright white light shot as Sophia, aiming to hit her in the stomach.

Not pausing to see if it even hit, Mira waved her wand again and growled "Arachnifors." But this time it she had pointed her wand not at Sophia, but at the trashcan closest to the brown haired girl. At first nothing happened and Mira wondered if she had cast it wrong.. But then the plastic of the container started to change and warp, getting rounder and growing short, bristly hair. Eight legs. Hundreds of eyes. A very angry, very large spider. Miras face curled into a sneer as it turned to face Sophia.

OOC: Affligo. ah-FLIG-oh. Strikes a person as if a blow were made.
Arachnifors. ar-AK-ni-fors. Transfigured object into large spider.
