Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Dark Arts Class One: Beginner Level Empty Dark Arts Class One: Beginner Level

Post by Sandra Archer Tue Sep 07, 2010 11:19 am

Sandra opened the doors to her classroom with a flick of her wand, walking past the row of chairs and desks before reaching the head of the classroom. She lay her suitcase on the desk, and it popped open with a wave of her wand, it's contents flying across the room and settling down at their determined locations.

Up the chalkboard, she wrote: AN INTRODUCTION TO "DARK" ARTS

Cassie was practically bursting with anticipation. Dark Arts was already her favourite subject, and she hadn't even had it yet.

Coming up to the classroom, she could see the door was already open, beckoning to her. When she got there, she saw she was the first person to turn up. Merlin! Today was only the best day in the entire history of days. She was only going to be the professor's favourite now.

Aware of the professor's eyes on her (because Cassie was always aware of everyone's eyes on her, whether they were or not) she sat down at a desk in the middle of the front row and began to unpack her things.

Post by Lucy Weasley Tue Sep 07, 2010 11:41 pm

Lucy was all ready for her first dark arts lesson. Her parents hadn't wanted her to take this course, because, well, dark arts, right? But she'd talked them round. She was the sensible one. She was way too smart to be taken in by any brainwashing that the teachers might try.

The thing she hadn't told her parents was that she was actually quite interested in learning about the dark arts for their own sake. That is, learning more than how to defend herself from them. There was something fascinating about anything you knew someone else didn't want you to know.

When she got to the room, there was already some first year there. Lulu thought she recognised her from the train, but she couldn't be sure. She'd been a bit too preoccupied looking out for the rest of the family to pay more than passing attention to puffy-eyed first years.

In any case, the girl was sitting right down the front and Lucy knew better than that. The middle of the room was where you wanted to be, not so close to the front that the professor would ask you questions, and not so close to the back that they'd think you were a trouble maker.

Aurora slowly walked into the classroom. She went up to the teacher's desk and gave her a note from her god parents that read,

Dear Sir Or ma'm,
We would like to inform you that Aurora Has some troubles lately cause she is starting to have many flashbacks and She can read thoughts at times. This is hurting Her especially the flashbacks because they are about how her family died.
Thanks,
Parent or Guardian

As soon as Aurora gave the teacher the note, She quickly walked to a desk and sat down. She pulled out her books and started searching for her wand. It was in her back pocket of her bag, under her outside clothes. She pulled the wand out and also laid it on her desk. She looked around the room briefly.

Dark Arts Class One: Beginner Level Empty Re: Dark Arts Class One: Beginner Level

Post by Sandra Archer Wed Sep 08, 2010 11:22 am

Three girls were the first to arrive at her class. Sandra sat at her desk and watched impassivel as the first one, a first year, skipped happily into her class and sat down in the front row. Her robes marked her as a Slytherin, and Sandra felt she recognized her. Perhaps she was from some Pureblood family she ought to know. Sandra had never been good at those things.

The second girl was entirely unremarkable, and cemented it by sitting in the middle of the classroom. Sandra hazarded a guess at about 4th year, she seemed unusually serious, especially compared to the first girl. 4th years were always worrying about one stupid thing or another.

The third girl was about the same age as the first, and walked quietly up to her, handing her a note and scuttling off. Sandra sighed and picked it up, unfolding it. Her eyes skimmed over it, and she looked up at the girl and arched an eyebrow. Then she casually crumpled the note up and dropped it into the wastebasket.

"You should be glad," Sandra said, her eyes still firmly locked on Aurora, "that I did not make you eat it. I do not tolerate excuses here. If you have trouble, you deal with it, or you get the hell out of my class."

Aurora said not one word and began to read her book. She had a cold, Depressing look in her eyes that looked as though she would attack the teacher at any moment. She also was shaking a bit as though trying to hold onto her anger. This teacher would be just like every muggle teacher she had. Careless. She had problems that people didnt get. She sometimes got hurt from the smallest of visions and yet no one cared. This teacher was getting on her nerves and finally, When she couldnt hold onto her anger any longer, Aurora slammed her book shut and punched the desk really hard. She heard a loud thump as her book had fallen to the floor.

As soon as her book hit the floor, Aurora snapped out of it and realised that she let her anger get the best for her. Maybe she shouldnt be at the school if her visions and flash backs wouldnt stop. All these visions and flash backs were driving her crazy. She was scared at night to sleep afraid that if she had a bad enough vision she would die from it or something. She never knew what would happen.

Post by Keith Nicholas Wed Sep 08, 2010 9:58 pm

Keith stumbled into his classroom just in time to see Aurora hit the desk in frustration. Keith winced. That must've hurt her knuckles. Luckily, it gave him enough of a distraction to slip in unnoticed, taking a seat a few rows behind the Lucy girl he had met on the train. Some new girl was sitting up front, making him the only guy in the class so far.

The teacher, meanwhile, was looking at Aurora quite calmly. She took a deep breath and stood, exhaling loudly as she began to walk towards Aurora.

Keith scooted away, trying to stay as far away from the woman as possible. He had only taken this class to learn attack magic. Not become the training dummy.

Sandra stood in front of Aurora, chewing her lip and thinking. Then, in a dangerously low voice, she spoke.

"Outbreaks," she said, "Will not. Be tolerated. Do you understand? Five points from Gryffindor." She stood there for a moment, and finally spoke again. "But that's not enough, for people like you Aurora. I know the type. I used to be just. Like. You." With each word she moved closer to the girl, finally turning away and pulling her wand from her sleeve. "So I'll ask the rest of the class a question. What should be done with poor, misunderstood little Aurora? Answer, or you're all punished."

Keith gulped and looked around. Screw that, he was not going to be the first one to speak out.

Aurora looked at the teacher with no emotion in her eyes. She looked pretty much as thought she couldnt care less what happened as long as she was out of there. She had been hurt so many times that there was nothing the teacher could do besides kill her that would effect her much. She has been cut while seeing a vision. She has had broken legs broken arms ect. She didnt care what this teacher decided to do.

(posting as rememberance also)

Remembrance quickly walked into the classroom to hear the teacher ask what punishment to give young Aurora. Now remembrance hated Aurora alot so she could think of alot of things for the teacher to do to her. Remembrance quickly walked to a back desk, Put down her books and looked at the teacher silently. She wasnt wanting to say anything at the moment.

Post by Samantha Burns Thu Sep 09, 2010 6:05 am

Samantha walked into the class room. She wasn't to happy about having to start school yet, but she would have to do more work as others, since last year she just about failed out. She walked in to see a young slytherin girl up front, a boy in a seat a few rows back, and a couple other girls. One of which she recognized from the forest she had rescued her from. But of course she would not say anything about that now. Sammy blink twice then sat down in a middle row seat. She hated being close to the professors. She then looked up, after pulling her things out, to see the professor was different this year. Then she remembered what a friend of hers told her that the school was being taken over by DE's. Of course she wasn't totally sure of this so she decided to keep a close eye on this one. If her behavior was anything like Ne'Os's was near the end, then she sure enough is a DE.

Cassie spoke up immediately, and, as usual, without thinking. She didn't know Aurora, or care what happened to her. For all she knew, Aurora acted like this all the time, and Cassie knew how irritating it was to be around an attention seeker. She had six brothers and sisters.

"If she's acting like a baby, maybe it's because she really wishes she was a baby," she said. "You could treat her like a baby and give her a smack."

"OH! Could you turn her into a baby?"
