Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Out of the Ordinary Empty Out of the Ordinary

Post by Andrew Thompson Tue Jul 13, 2010 7:15 pm

Andrew held the small fish tank in his hands, getting tired of using magic to hold it up. He felt useless if he couldn't even use his own body strength, which most wizards and witches would argue with, but it made him feel more human. He continued forward with Miseria, the egg safely inside the water that they had found back at the Forest of Dean's lake. It was an odd occurence that had happened to where they had found it, butwould try to tell Matt the short story of it. He walked to the front door of Matt's office, and was stopped by his assistant who told him he wasn't there. "Greeeeat," he said, sitting down on a chair nearby.

He was getting tired of holding the tank, as the water was very cold, but he couldn't take his eyes off the egg. It still made his curiosity spike when he kept pulling it out of the water, its definition changing back in forth when he held it in the air, then water. Getting tired of the cold feeling on his leg, he set the tank on the ground in front of him and felt the warm blood return to his leg. Where in the world was Matt? With Ne'Os Emof dead, things should've been a lot less streeful around here.

It was the first time when Misera was in the Ministry of Magic. She only followed Andrew, looking around with an impression on her face. It was strange now as they really were there. They were going to ask Matt if they could keep this creature, even if they didn't even know WHO it actually was.
She couldn't stop herself but to smirk at this thought. Pointless idea, but they were already here, and Miseria wouldn't left the place without looking around. It was just too famous, and she couldn't believe that they really were there!

She didn't say anything, but sat down next to him, looking at the egg. “I hope that we are lucky... It really seems to be rare creature,“ she said. Her hair was still wet, and yet, she was too lazy to make it dry even if they were visiting the minister. “Maybe you should give it to me to hold?“ she asked. It was heavy... or she thought it was. They could also put it down on the floor or somewhere near them.

OoC:Thank god I was cleaning the Ministry. Otherwise I never would've found this.

Matt was reading something as he made his way down the corridors of the Ministry. Dodging people trying to ask him questions and answering ones that were important at the same time. He checked his watch, almost seven. He sighed, he needed to be at home. But alas, he still had work to do. He folded the paper he was reading into an airplane and charmed it to go right back were it had come from. He threw it, that was a pointless read really. Banning the use of broomsticks in quidditch? Someone was working to hard, he thought.

He turned right and made his way into his office to see Andrew and Miseria sitting down. He sighed, "Oh boy Andrew. What's going on now?" he asked closing his eyes. "Hello Miseria." he added smiling at her. He spotted an tank that Andrew was holding, it had an egg in it. He looked at his receptionist, "Cancel the meeting with the Muggle Prime Minister." he told her. He could wait, for this egg could be potentially dangerous. "You two, in here." he said quickly walking into his office.

[xD]

Andrew nodded and then stood up, grabbing the heavy tank with him. He walked with Matt into his office and looked around. Everything seemed to be neat and organized. He respected that. He looked back at Matt and then continued with him. He sat down on a chair, left in front of his desk and then set the tank on an open spot on Matt's desk. "Okay now before we discuss anything," he said respectfully "please promise us that you will not tell anyone about this. We have no idea what this thing is, and have no idea if it's anything dangerous."

It was actually odd to smile back at the minister of magic. No, she didn't feel strange because he was in really high position. It was just that he was a vampire. And like a werewolf itself, she was acting more careful when those immortal creatures were around, though, she made no expressions. Matt, after all, was from the Order, and now they were kind of allies.
“Hello, Matt,“ she greeted him back, standing then quickly up, and entered his office. She didn't take a sit, instead, she'd rather stand. When Andrew explained that they had no idea what the thing is, Miseria sighed quietly. She had a little theory, and so did actually Andrew. Both of them thought that this was a hybrid.
Then she looked up from the egg what was now on Matt's table, and looked at the minister. Would he make this little promise?

OT: lucky us.

"I cannot promise that," he said to the both of them. "However, I can promise that nobody outside the Department of the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures will know besides ourselves." he told them. "This egg is potentially dangerous," he said stating the obvious. "Fist off, where in hells name did you find this?" he asked them. "However, you two may be on the verge of discovering a new magical creature." he told them brightening the situation. "This egg is unlike anything I have ever seen"

"Well we were attacked by a giant serpent out in the Forest of Dean," he said calmly, trying to avoid the subject about how the mother had died "and we found this egg after we escaped, so we took it and wondered what to do with it. So we figured we may as well bring it to you." He was concerned about the Magical Creatures department, as they could try to pull some experiments or something that may harm the serpent. If it was a new kind of species, then they could pull something fatal to it. "So anyway," he continued "the mother looked like a large, basilisk sort of creature, but had different types of stripes and cuts on it. It could also travel on land and live underwater, which is basically the general description of the adult."

Unlike anything he has seen. Yes, it was always good to hear that they found something unique, and new, but no one knew that how dangerous could it be.
When Andrew explained, she held back from rolling her eyes, and sighing quietly. No fool would take an egg if mother is away! She could easily chase both of them down, and eat, or just kill them for fun. She didn't comment any part of his story. He was actually doing them a favor. Well, mostly for her, because it was her work. The death of a mother, but no one knew how the animals would react if someone was on their territory. When he finished, she looked up at Matt, waiting for his reaction or questions.
