Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Open for business? (Varod) Empty Open for business? (Varod)

Ash made her way into the bookshop and saw no one inside and it looked like they weren't quite ready to be open. "Hello?!" she called out looking around. She had just come off her tour and was looking for some books to read during her down time before she had to start writing songs again. "Is anyone here?"

Varod walked out from behind a bookcase. It was later in the day and he had told Jess to go home early. Anti was in the backroom.
Smiling at the girl, he said "hello! I'm Varod. Anything I can do for you? You look exhausted, so if you're looking for a book which of course you are, I'd suggest something with easy language so you won't have to strain your brain."

Ash jumped seeing the guy walk from behind a bookshelf. "Oh I didn't think anyone was here." she said feeling foolish. "I'm Kiara but if you call me that I'll have to kill you. I prefer Ash or Ashling." she said in reply until he said something about her needing a book with easy language. "Um I'm just tired from being on tour. Simple language wouldn't be a good choice of books for me. I like things complicated when I read them."

"Whoa," Varod said in mock-surprise. "A rockstar. Don't hurt me if I'm not blown off my feet, Kay? Anyway, I would recommend Inkheart, or The Chaos Code, for you if you want something complicated."
He grinned at her.
"Hm...pretty, aren't you?" he commented thoughtfully, giving her an appraising look.

"Good. I don't need someone who's blown off their feet by me. I'm tired of everyone I meet going crazy because they are a fan." she said looking at him. "Um I prefer Laurel K. Hamilton actually." she said looking at her, "Her Anita Blake books are fantastic." she said trailing off as she blushed slightly. "I..I don't think so." she said stunned. She had been called pretty but she never really saw it in herself.

Varod shrugged. "Never read em."
Then he laughed.
"Sure you are," he said smiling. "The prettiest are the ones who don't realize it. I've actually never seen or heard of you, sorry."
He went out from behind the counter and handed her a copy of the catalog.

"They are really good vampire books." she said smiling bigger now. "Its fine. I've only been doing this music thing since I dropped out last year. I'm surprised its doing as well as it is." She took the catalog from him but then a book caught her eyes. She walked over to it. "Here is one of her books. Its her Merry Gentry series but its still really good." she said surprised that it was the newest book in the series, "How much is it?"

Varod smiled, showing off Vamp teeth.
"Guess what? I'm a drop out and a vamp," he told her laughing. "It is...only three sickles. You got that much?"
He smiled and hugged her.
"After you buy that book, why don't we go out? It's closin time in a few minutes," he offered slyly.

"Wow are you serious?" she asked looking at him handing him the money. "I've never met another drop out before. Or really been around a vampire." she said excitedly. "Whats it like?" she asked curiously looking at his teeth bringing her face closer to his. "Sure, I could do that." she said smiling, her face turning redder by the second.

"It's a load of fun..." Varod said, then used vamp speed to put the money in the cash register then ran back. "It makes things really enjoyable in certain, er...areas."
He was whispering in her ear now, then the clock chimed.
"Well my shifts over, how bout that date?"
