Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

The Start of Term Feast Empty Re: The Start of Term Feast

Post by Kingsley Shacklebolt Thu Aug 20, 2009 5:32 pm

"Good evening, Good evening!" shouted the Headmaster from his pedestal. "Welcome, one and all to a new year at Hogwarts!" He waited for the crowd to quiet down. "As many of you know, the rules have changed very liitle. Troublemakers are still troublemakers, the orderly are still orderly. All is right within Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
"Maybe by now you know. Maybe you do not. Those of you who were there should be well aware. I urge you, students, to never fear. Hogwart's safety was breached in the most violent of manners, the most tragic of ways...
"But enough of that for now. I now wish congratulate you on making it this far. The future is yours to grasp, so you must not shy away- to Hogwarts, to the future. Strike forward, my students, and enjoy your plum pudding."

Mariana almost jumped when she heard Headmaster's "low" tone. "Oh my god!" she said holding her chest when she stopped breathing for a moment. She cleaned her ears before she heard what Headmaster was saying. It sounded more like a poem then a speech, but then again it was okay with her.She looked around for someone familiar.

Christabelle's ears and head perked up when she heard the headmaster speak. For some reason anyone giving a speech always compelled her to listen. Even her father though over time she had learned to tune him out if it didn't really pertain to her much. She looked over at all the students at the different tables. So this is Hogwarts. she thought, Interesting that they house everyone together during meals. she went on to think. She had caught a glimpse of her cousin with the other Slytherins. He seemed to be fitting in well, while her eyes glanced over to the Gryffindor table.

Daniel heard the Headmaster lovely speech up on the front of the Great Hall, his words stunned him, they were lovely and poetic. They showed him how even in a crazed person like him there were always a sensative part of him, almost making him feel guilty of being so rude about the Headmaster about thinking he was a lunatic and hating him for it; without knowing him better before judging. As the speech ended, the feast began to start and at the Gryffindor Table; Daniel sat down alone in his white long sleeved, school uniform; his white long sleeves rolled up to his arm to keep the heat off him and as he ate at the table he looked around him, in hope to see some of his friends but as he looked around he spotted a girl looking at the Gryffindor Table --- both of their eyes catching each other staring at another. Despite the fact he felt a new hatred for Ravenclaw because of what happen with Izzie and Sterling at Hogmeade; keeping his emotion inside he gave Christabelle a warm, inviting smile.

Post by James Wake Fri Aug 21, 2009 4:54 pm

Well, HE'S in tip-top shape, James internally grumbled as he poked at his salad. There wasn't much to have in the Vegetarian department, but regardless, he could live. Given the recent events, I guess I do have a personal connection with the man, but still- who wouldn't guess what he was talking about? Seriously! I bet the papers will full of it- "Vold(WHERE'S THE DA** RESPECT!?!!?!? dead! Victory for the light!" Man, it makes me feel sick to the stomach. Ace glared slightly towards the Gryffindor table. For some reason, he always associated it with (H)arry (P)otter. He detested the name, for it's mere mention brought to mind several mad man...

Ace settled back down for a second helping of salad, but then reconsidered. What was the point? He was going to be practically LIVING off the stuff every dinner... unless there was soup...

Albus, sitting alone at the Slytherin table, looked up to the staff table as he heard the headmaster speak. He always thought of him as somewhat of a wacko, but still respected him. Smiling slightly as the speech ended, it was surprising someone as crazy as the headmaster could still come up with great speeches like that. Once the food suddenly appeared out of nowhere, Albus loaded his plate with food, while he stared around dully at the Gryffindor table, where his brother and sister sat.

Christabelle met eyes with Daniel and looked at him smiling til she caught herself staring and quickly averted her eyes. She looked down at her plate starting to put little bits and pieces of food on there not really hungry, even though she had, had a long trip. She mostly picked at it but did eat a little.

Sierra walked into tbe Great Hall, and sat down at an empty area. She served herself mashed potatoes with gravy, brocalli, ad chicken on the bone. Before she ate one bite, she remembered Nick. Her eyes darted over to the Slytherin table, which was next to theirs. She searched the table, hoping to see him.

After parting company with Sierra upon entering the hall Nick made his way to the Slytherin table and seated himself among all his friend's. It was good them all again, and good to get away from his familly finally. It was in Hogwarts he belonged and he beamed as a Slytherin girl he knew ruffled up his perfect hair.

When the food appeared he served himself some salad with chicken through it, he was not a huge eater and although he was hungry he did not think he could stomach anything just now, he was too excited to be back around his fellow students! Looking up from the plate he saw Sierra Myst gazing at him, he must have made quite an impression earlier on if the thought of him was keeping her off the lovely food the house elves had provided. Smiling his trademark charming smile he nodded to her. Deciding to play with her a little he gathered up his napkin, and with the help of his wand arranged it into the shape of a rose.

"Wingardium Leviosa." He sent the makeshift flower over to her, landing it just next to her plate, being careful to make sure it never landed in the gravy.
