Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Keith stared stubbornly at the solid looking pillar that he knew was the entrance to platform 9 3/4. He chewed his lip slowly. His parents had gone through, and were waiting for him on the other side. He took a deep breath and broke into a run.

He dashed at the pillar with all his speed, tugging his luggage behind him. As he approached the magical barrier, he closed his eyes. The next minute, he was through.

Keith stared in amazement at the Hogwarts Express. A long, scarlett train, it was already packed full of students.

"Bye son!" His dad shouted as Keith took off for the front steps.

"Be safe!" His mom called, putting his luggae in the compartment. Keith waved jauntily and disappeared into the train.

Booths lined the entire train, several already full. Keith looked around for an empty one, or at least one with simone in his year. Or close to it. His laughed out loud. He was heding to Hogwarts!

Jason sat in an empty compartment towards the end of the train. He had arrived early and had gotten this spot to himself. His luggage was sitting above his head, and he had a wand in his hand and was randomly throwing sparks at the seat in front of him. Dressed already in his Hogwarts robes he glanced towards the door every so often and went back to flicking sparks at the seat in front of him, flicking his bangs out of his face.

School.. the time of year when you were forced onto unwanted company. People tried to talk to you, and it was only polite to talk back. He hated it. Crowded hallways and the like. His only comfort being flying. Up in the air you were away from the mud bloods that thought they were so smart. So lucky to get to go to a school where the only thing people did was talk about you behind your back. He hated it.

Putting his wand in his robe pocket he reached up and grabbed a book. Sure it was weird seeing a Slytherin reading, but it was the perfect excuse to not talk to someone. Face in a book, they left you alone. Possibly even didn't come near the compartment you're in. He turned a few pages to the one he left off on, and started to read.

Keith slipped into an apartment towards th back of a train, occupied only by a reading Slytherin. Keith did a double take. A reading Slytherin. Everybody run. The apocalypse is nigh. He sat dow in the chair and began toying with his wand, trying to get it to do things. Anything really. Failing that, he grabbed a textbook he had managed to slip onto the train and looked through it, trying to find a speel that was interesting. Stuperfy...Percificus Totalus...oh that one looks fun, Keith thought to himself.

Jason glanced up when a boy entered the compartment. A smirk flitted across his face. First year. He watched out of the corner of his eye as he tried to do things with his wand. Another smirk flitted across his face. He remembered his first year. Sitting there in the corner of a compartment the entire ride. No one wanted to talk to a kid. Especially not one like Jason. So he turned back to his book.

He was distracted yet again when the boy pulled out a book of his own. And yet again a smirk flitted across his handsome features. Kid probably didn't even know what half those spells did. He could have some fun with this kid.. if he talked to him that is. He preferred not to talk, but the opportunity seemed like a good one to ruin the youth of today. Make them think twice on walking into a compartment with a lone Slytherin. Wasn't it enough of a hint that he was alone? Meaning other Slytherins didn't even talk to him? He rolled his eyes slightly and went back to his book.

At this point, Keith was getting very nervous. Apparently the lone Slytherin didn't seem to understand that Keith could see him smirking. The smirking, combined with Keith's genral dislike of Slytherins, was beggining to get on his nerves.

He had to be subtle about this though. He couldn't go in, wand blazing...well frankly because he couldn't do that. He would need to be sneaky and indirect, which unfortunately, was somethings Slytherin's were supposed to excel at.

So Keith simply sat there, idly turning pages in his book, not really paying attention to what was on the page. The Slytherin could probably see that, but that was fine. He would be ready.

Jason narrowed his eyes at the kid. He was silent, and it was all together much to quiet in the compartment. He liked it that way. The kid looked nervous. Good. Any minute now he should be getting up and finding a different compartment. Leave Jason alone with his book. But the kid sat there, turning the pages of his book. Jason's smirk grew as the kid flipped the pages, he could see him watching him. Funny.

He smirked very plainly and openly every time. Not really caring what the kid thought of him. He slowly closed his book with a snap. The sound of the pages colliding was the only sound in the entire compartment, and almost seemed loud. Except for the group of people walking past. The compartment was dead silent, pages turning, and that one snap.

Moving over so he was sitting by the window he stared at the kid. Time to make this compartment feel very different. He stared. Possibly one of the creepiest things a Slytherin could do, is stare, and not feel the need to look away. So watching the kid he narrowed his eyes, wondering when he would finally leave him alone.

Keith tired to ignore the Slyhterin staring, but it was very difficult. Keith had never really learned to ignore something that was both annoying him and creeping him out. He glanced up, then back down. He could feel the Slytherin's eyes on him, he felt like they were boring holes in his head. Finally he looked up and locked eyes with the boy. It was highly unnerving, but keith couldn't let him see that. "You know, no matter how much you stare," Keith said, "My shirt isn't coming off. So you might as well give up."

Jason stared at him for a moment longer until the kid talked. He stared at him and then smirked his gaze going to the window. He could see the affect the staring had on the kid, and it amused him. He hadn't even had to have said anything and he creeped people out. Perfect. His smirk grew as he watched people boarding the train. Families saying goodbye. He had parted with his parents without saying a word to each other. They never did say a word to him. In fact he had left the house this morning without so much as a 'have fun at school', or 'see you at Christmas'. Nope, Dad was busy.. Mom was busy, he was leaving again.

He kept his gaze on one family as they said goodbye and promised they would send letters all the time. A first year girl. He smirked again, how pathetic. Getting teary eyed over a daughter.. she'd grow up, become a Slytherin, and end up stabbing them in the back. He could see it already. So he grabbed his book again, and after another long stare at the boy, he opened to the right page and continued to read. A smirk still firm on his face.
