Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

So magical Empty So magical

Post by Cecilie Montez Sat Apr 22, 2023 7:46 pm

It was one of these evenings when Cecilie just felt like she needed this walk, away from all that drama and trouble. Lately there was so much drama for sure. There was this ongoing drama with her so called friends, well she said it since they were her friends since first year her being here but now they ignore her. And then there are these new friends she met on this WizGiz device, they seem great friends but they seem to be always caught up in some crazy drama. There is always so much going on with them. Also there were a few who she wasn't sure were friends yet but they liked to hangout with, like Ducky.

So she just needed to figure out where she stood in all of that. She just needs to clear her head and also some fresh air. So she was just walking down this pathway and was in her own thrust really. At some point she sat down near the lake and just looked at it. There were these sun beams glistering on the water surface, as the sun was going down. It was so beautiful, even magical. Some how it seemed to calm Cece here.

So magical Empty Re: So magical

Riley was always an indoors kid.

She loved nothing more than to plop down in front of the tv with a bowl of ice cream and watch Robin Hood about a billion times until she got bored and decided to go annoy her older brother. However, since she started doing more curricular activities, like archery for example, she had taken more time to be outside. And since Kai was born, the little girl had taken over the television so Riley couldn't watch anyway.

Now that she was at Hogwarts, she sort of enjoyed the outside a little more. It was peaceful and she loved sitting by the lake and doing her homework. Although it was a little too peaceful sometimes, the Gryffindor sometimes caught hersel falling asleep in the afternoon sun.
Now, though, she was just walking around aimlessly, just enjoying the cool wind that blew in the late evening light. As she walked, she noticed a girl sitting by the lake. Riley slowed her pace as she approached. Riley debated whether or not to go closer. She decided to approach anyway.

"Hey, there," Riley said to the other girl, "mind if I join you?"

Cecilie was lost in her own thoughts that she hadn't noticed this one girl approaching her. She looked up when she heard a voice. She saw the girl who was in her house, she's pretty sure had seen the girl around the common room before. She smiled at her., even yeah the smile didn't really reach her eyes, it barely did.

"Oh, hey," she said with a small smile. Even yeah she barely could remember this girls name. Maybe someone she will remember it again. "No I don't mind," she ended up saying. Some company would be nice actually.

Riley was delighted upon hearing this reply. She plopped herself down next to the girl (who Riley assumed was a Gryffindor) and crossed her legs.
"Riley; my name's Riley," Riley said, rather awkwardly, after making herself comfortable, "yours?"

Although one of the brightest kids Emily and Pierre had ever had, she was one of the most shy, too. Riley seemed way too confident for her own good, but alas, the poor girl struggled to make friends because of her attitude. She spoke when unnecessary, made comments at inappropriate times and was generally troublesome.
"So..." Lee said after a pause, "Your a Gryffindor too? I'm sure I've seen you in the common room before." She added.

So magical Empty Re: So magical

Post by Hallie Cooper Thu Jul 06, 2023 3:22 pm

Hallie had spent the good part of a month attempting to nurture her abyssian shrivelfig in herbology. It was almost about to bloom in her last herbology class when, to her misfortune, a fellow Gryffindor had accidentally ignited his own Shrivelfig. The flames had quickly danced across the workbench and before Hallie could extinguish the fire her abyssian Shrivelfig had wilted into blackened leaves. A hard months work for nothing, nothing but a fail grade on her last assignment.

Leaving the greenhouse in a rather disgruntled mood Hallie felt the need to let off some steam and thankfully herbology was her final class. After dumping her school bag in her dormitory Hallie grasped her broom from under the four poster bed, opened the dormitory window and began to mount her broom. She’d never made such an escape from a window ledge before, the only time she’d flown had been kicking hard from the ground, gradually ascending, this was the reverse. A rush of fear coated her insides. Looking down from the window ledge she gulped. If she didn’t maintain control quick enough she’d fall, potentially die and at the very least break a dozen bones. But this is what she wanted. A rush. A physical escape to complete consume her so she could forget about stupid Herbology and her abyssian Shrivelfig.

She jumped.

The window caused her robes to billow up behind her. Her feet fluttered for a moment trying to recover from the lack of holding and her body fell. Her knuckles whitened as she gripped her broomstick, which was now nose diving at speed towards the ground. Using all of her strength she heaved upwards, pulling herself up from the dive and drifting off over the lawn towards the lake. The adrenaline rush was pure ecstasy.

Hallie pressed on, gliding across the lake with water lighting spraying the back of her broom. Her golden locks frolicked behind her as she gasped for breath, wide eyed with joy.

Suddenly, a large tentacle raised itself from the water, Hallie swerved but she wasn’t quick enough. Her broomstick began to teeter out of control as she made to turn and …. SPLASH! Hallie had fallen from her broom and plunged into the lake, leaving her broom to drift autonomously in the direction of two girls by the shore.
