Nova walked down the hill towards the shrieking shack. She smiled as her eyes landed on the old building. It was abandoned and falling apart. A lot like Nova. She connected to this house on a spiritual level. That's why she loved to go to the old house. She finished the trek down the hill and walked inside. She set up a whole little sleeping area in the main bedroom. She had a four poster bed set up with 600 thread count sheets. She flopped onto the bed and smiled as the familiarity enveloped her. Just as she was about to close her eyes she heard someone enter and sat up "how did you know I was here?

Ace Longbottom was thinking ahead for the summer. If her plan worked – and she was too dedicated to let it fail – then they would be banding Potter’s Army together over the summer to get a jump start on their training for the year. She was certain that Christian was going to agree once she cracked his code. Her own code made it difficult to understand why he wasn’t doing everything to prepare himself and their peers, but she had to relent – according to Frank, not everyone had her tenacity. A word she supposed he used to hide much harsher words.

The Shrieking Shack had potential, she had decided. It was far from the beaten path, demanded privacy, and enough people were convinced it was haunted that perhaps unexplained magic could occur there. It had been magically rebuilt after the small battle there that burned it down, but had been restored to its old rickety self. So the question remained – could it withstand that much underage magic.

She slipped inside and began her quiet tour. She heard a noise as she moved on the lower level and realized… she was not alone. She snuck up the stairs quietly towards the master and opened the door.

The accusation was immediate. Ace drew her wand only to find her confronted with a girl her age, a Gryffindor named Watson. She paused. “I didn’t know you were here. I was already here.”

Nova nodded in understanding. The girl had not followed her she simply just happened to be there at the same time as her. "I see. Well, I will stay out of your way if you stay out of mine" she said fixing her red hair and pushing it iut if her face. She didnt really like being around people, especially people she didnt really know "youre ace, right? Ive seen you around school. Im nova. Nova watson" she said before she let a small and friendly smile spread across her face. Just because she did not like people, did not mean she had no manners

Ace would have mightily rolled her eyes or reminded her they were both trespassing or something of that nature, but if she recalled correctly, Watson thought herself to be some sort of hot shit, and Ace knew better than to argue with someone who foolishly thought themselves above it all. Ace knew she could rip Watson a new one, but she also knew her tendency to take things personal wasn't going to be helpful.

She took that as her cue to leave, but Watson practically forgot her own words. Ace turned slowly.

"Um... yeah," she said, trying to figure out if this was an act or something. "We go to school together. Same year, actually. We've had five years of classes together. I know who you are."
