What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

There was a musty smell about the air as the teen age girl sat surrounded by pages filled with words that had been bound together into her second favorite security blanket. Shelves upon shelves of books filled the room leaving very little space for a few tables and chairs that had been set around for students to busy themselves studying at, and everything was covered in a very thin layer of dust. Sofia could not be more comfortable sinking into the books word by word as they carried her on a new adventure with each turn of the page. today she had chose some pleasure reading as she pulled a child's storybook off one of the shelves and finding a seat at one of the tables that creaked as she moved about. Carefully she lifted the cover with the tips of her fingers turning the pages as she began to read, the words floating off the page into her imagination.
It was quite odd for the female Smith twin to be found with out her brother in her free time, But there she was her blonde curls tucked behind her ear. She wore a blue V-neck t-shirt that was worn to the point of perfection, as it was one of her favorite shirts., with her dark washed jeans. Though that is not what stood out about the girl who hummed her mothers favorite song, but her shoes were. On her left foot was a bright pink converse and on the right was a lime green one to match.

Many would have though Kasey was confunded in some way when she wandered into the library. Out of all the corridors, hallways and hidden rooms of the castle the one place that continued to remain a mystery to her was the cramped, book filled room. On her few occasions to the library the visits had always been short, usually loud and unplanned consisting of her coming to get her friend Scarlett or grabbing some book with the full intention to read it but never finding the time or patience too. No Kasey was too much of an outdoor soul to feel comfortable amongst the cramped shelves and dusty books. But unlike her other visits this time Kasey had a true purpose for braving the uncomfortably quiet room.

Kasey drifted down the shelves scanning book titles feeling a little out of place with her ripped up jeans, black boots and pale purple t-shirt compared to many of the other more studious students. What was with this place? Tables and chairs shoved into tiny corners between shelves so tightly packed that Kasey tripped over them. And how was anyone meant to find anything? As she turned around another shelf to reveal several more rows Kasey paled slightly and looked around. This wasn't going to work. She needed help and the only one around seemed to be a young girl with oddly coloured shoes who hummed to herself as she read. Kasey hesitated for a moment not sure whether interrupting the girl was a wise idea and then shrugged. What did it matter? She needed that book. Kasey walked up to the table, "er..hi excuse me I was wondering if you could help me?" Kasey asked in what she thought was a quiet tone but was in fact very loud.

"....Could you help me? The question seemed to come out of no where causing Sofi to jump out of her trance. Looking up at the older student who spoke to her. "Um I could try?" She said in a question her eyebrows knitting togeather. "What did you need?"
Sofia knew this girl from somewhere around the school but she couldn't quite put her thumb on where from. She srugged the thought off, thought she was not completely surpized that the girl had only approached her to ask for help. why would else would anyone talk to her without Anthony around, like really?

"A book" Kasey stated even though that part was quiet obvious. Seeming to realise this she hurriedly added, "ah it's called Animal Transfiguration Basics by Ophelia Brand". Now that Kasey had asked she hoped the younger girl might actually know where the book was, she didn't fancy walking around the dust covered shelves for hours trying to find what she needed. Besides if she didn't find the book soon there was the chance that someone else might find it and open it. Kasey winced at the thought if someone did open she could only imagine the horror that would be unleashed.

"Well you're in the completely wrong section. First we must go over to where the keep the transfiguration books." Carefully Sof closed the book and placed it back on the shelf that had been made its home. "it's this way." She motioned and moved to lead the way down the rows of shelves turning down one. "It will be with the Bra books right along here." She murmured to herself about the system of sorting books her mother had taughter many years ago so she could always find just the book she wanted. "Ah here it is," she exclaimed pulling a thicklu bound book off the shelf. "Animal Transfiguration Basics By: Ophilia Brand." She held the book as if it were the most delicately object in the world and handed it to her.

Kasey took the book a look of relief crossing her face as she carefully held it in front of her almost as if it might explode. She nods to the younger girl, "thanks you're a life saver" she said almost meaning it quiet literally. Kasey flips the book on to its side showing the spine to herself and runs a fingernail down the edge looking for something. A triumphant light fills her eyes as she pulls free a small, incredibly thin wire which she hurriedly snaps in half. She nods to herself satisfied that the book was safe to open now and goes to hand it back to Sofi. Now she could leave without fear that whatever trick her brother had placed in the book was safely disarmed.

"okay?" Sofia asked narrowing her eyebrows when the book was handed back to her and turned to place it back in the empty space that had been left when she removed the book. "Did you need anything else? Maybe to know how to find a book next time you need one?" the girl didn't seem to be the type to spend a lot of time in the library as she had directed herself in the wrong direction before asking for help from the younger student.

Kasey shook her head, "Ah no it's okay thank you. I'm not exactly a library type of person. If I ever do need a book again I'm sure I can just ask someone" Kasey said highly doubting she would need a book again. It was Leo who liked to place traps and tricks in the books not Kasey, and Kasey wasn't exactly in the habit of disabling such traps. In fact the only reason she had taken care of this particular one was because she was certain she would have been blamed for the what happened.

"You might want to be careful opening the books around here from now on" Kasey advises Sofi feeling like it was only fair to warn the younger girl. "Some of them have being messed with".

"Tricky brother?" She asked an eyebrow raised with a high arch at the girls statement. "Your Leo's Sister aren't you?" she had known she knew this girl from some where. this was the girl her brother was always drooling about, no matter how much she warned aginst it. Oh well. boys would be boys. "I can understand. My brother is the some way." he voice almost sounded filled with empathy for the misfortune of having to protect others from a sibling. But, Sofia wouldn't trade her brother for anything in the world, so she guessed she'd just have to put up with his ways until he out grew them.

Kasey wasn't quiet sure how she felt about being addressed as 'Leo's sister'. She was after all her own person, "Ah yeah that's me. My name's Kasey" she introduced herself hoping that would avoid any further reference to her as simply 'Leo's sister'. She smiles slightly noticing the empathetic tone, "brothers can be trouble. I try not to get in the habit of picking up after mine, he'll never learn otherwise". She looks at the girl trying to remember if she had seen her before but comes up blank, then again that wasn't surprising Kasey didn't have much for a head for names or faces.
