Department Wide Meeting [OPEN]
Welcome to Potter’s Army

Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

Department Wide Meeting [OPEN] Li9olo10

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Department Wide Meeting [OPEN] Empty Department Wide Meeting [OPEN]

Claire did not like her performance in this job as of late.

It was certainly a strange position, having been asked to take this job by the American Head of Law Enforcement to keep an eye on their British counterparts and now that she had risen in the ranks, she found herself acting upon the orders of a peer, rather than a superior. It was a strange position, indeed, but one she did not see any direct escape from. She wanted to end this stint across the pond and return to New York, and that meant continuing on.

She was pretty sure she wanted to end this. This… new… life.

That’s what it was after all. She had roots here. Almost had friends. It had been nearly three years. She was as undercover as someone could be. She was deeply involved.

For a long time, she thought that to do her job correctly (the real job, the one given to her by Gordon) that she would have to not be on the side of the British government. That was no longer an option. Her job was too weighty and her pride too strong for her to allow her department to become more and more obsolete.

So she called a department wide meeting. Mostly, she wanted to talk with the Aurors, as they were the bulk of her staff, but she hoped her former department, now down to a small size, could be in attendance. She left it to Monroe to delegate how should attend, as the The Improper Use of Magic Office had constant day-to-day work that she was not keen to disrupt for a simple meeting.

She called them together in the largest conference room and allowed them to get situated. Bagels and coffee had been set out and she let people grab as they pleased, having placed a cup of coffee before her to lead by example. It was casual Friday and she hoped that would mean there was less of a lecture vibe. She had a tendency for that.

She wanted to get into her business. But she also really wanted to empower her people to be more involved. "Hello everyone. Glad you all could make it. I'm attempting to reorganize the department and make us more efficient so there may be more of these sorts of meetings. Today, I'd like to distribute cases to our Aurors, work with our patrol to tighten security in a few key places, and potentially work on a more official partner system. I wanted to open up to you all first, to talk about recent cases you might have taken on or any other pertinent information." She gazed around. Merlin, she hoped someone would answer.
