What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Even shops have their secrets ~open~ Empty Even shops have their secrets ~open~

Esmeralda finally talked to the person she bought her shop from and was given the keys that was for the mysterious door. They told her that they never been down there, they found the steps too creepy for them so they kept it locked. Esme just wanted to know what it was for so they gave her the keys to the door and the keys themselves were peculiar because it didn't look like any keys she had ever seen before. The people who owned the shop before said that they hadn't really like having it where it was and were eager to give it away the didn't care what they got for it. Esme began wondering if she made the right decision to buy the shop but it was too late now.

She walked to her shop with the keys in her pocket, it was a little after noon as she opened the door to the shop. She wasn't opened today because she had taken the day off to interview people for the shop but so far nothing was looking too good. She shut the main door and pulled out the keys looking at them then looking at the door that she had no idea where it led. She took a deep breath and walked across the floor of the shop, she inserted the first key but it wasn't the correct one. She tried the second still nothing, the third key was the one that unlocked the door with a small click. She pulled out her wand before she opened the door, she couldn't see much so she lit her wand.

The steps were a grey stone but were covered with spider webs and looked worn. Esme cleared the spider webs away as she made her way down the stairs carefully. She saw iron torch holders placed on the walls on one side that would light the way if the torches were still there. She reached the bottom of the stairs and found another door, she pulled out the keys again. She used tried the first one, nothing so she tried the second key and the lock clicked open. She opened the door to find a large room, it was empty except a kitchen area there were three more doors in the room. She opened the first which led to a bathroom that had a clawfoot tub that looked like it was still in good condition just needed some cleaning. She opened the next door in the room which led to an empty room, she figured that it might be something of a bedroom. She saw a large closet and opened the doors, she saw a bunch of shelves but not much else. She walked out of the room and towards the finally door of the bigger room and found it was locked, she tried her last key but it didn't work. The door stayed locked, she tried the other two keys but neither of them worked on the lock. She shook her head as she left the room, locking the door before walking back up the stairs to her shop.

She thought about what to do about the room downstairs as she locked the door that led down to the secret room. A thought popped into her head, she could use the room as a safe room for someone. She just needed to fix it up and make it look like new. She smiled as she thought about it and knew that she was going to have to do some serious shopping if she was going to pull this off. She went to her office to start drawing up plans for the rooms downstairs and hopefully she'd be able to have it done quickly.

She grabbed her jacket and purse, she walked out of the shop locking the door behind her as she headed down the alley. She had a lot of shopping to do and she was excited to get started on a new project that might be useful to someone someday.
