site plot: Muggles & Volunteers for teaching them

YO.

Monroe (should be, when he gets accepted) the new head of Magical Accidents & Catastrophes.  

First up, we have a thread in Buckley Inn for muggle characters and the volunteers who want to help teach them magic.

Please bear in mind the purpose of the thread is for you to RP & have fun in; it's okay if it gets a bit off topic.

If your character is wanting to research where the magic is going, they might want to go observe those muggles, too.  I'll set up a meeting for your characters shortly. Monroe will open that thread by asking for your hypotheses (if you have one, you don't HAVE to), so you might want to think about that.

We also (apparently) have apprenticeships to get the muggles acclimatised to the wizarding world.  I don't know if we're doing them for real or just as job titles but if you volunteered your character to take on an apprentice, let me know?

I'll try and explain the apprenticeship thing real quick-

Basically, Muggles can post in the jobs threads to pick up apprenticeships. Technically, it's mostly for plotting purposes, but it's intended as an additional way for them to get experience with magic and the world of magic. Hopefully that clarifies it a bit.

As a side note, we are definitely still accepting Muggles if anyone is interested And, if nobody has done so by the time I get back on my computer, I'll add Monroe to the list

FYI--for clarification, we've been offering "internships" for student characters to allow them to hold part time jobs ic. That was never really discontinued. There sometimes is some lapse in folks that want to do that. And, internships never really was very canon appropriate as a term for a student who was working under an adult wizard. So the change in terminology was done merely to be more in form with canon.

However, it is available to both wizarding students and to muggles.
