Three's crowd Empty Three's crowd

Post by Sebastien O'Sullivan Thu Dec 25, 2014 5:35 pm

Sebastien approached the stove and pulled out the things needed for coffee, as Lilyanya left the apartment. He had no idea where she's going, especially since the snow was still falling and showing no intention to stop falling. He shouted 'goodbye' when he heard the opening of the front door and reminded her to take the keys with her, before he re-dedicated himself to making coffee. Thought it wasn't quite difficult, he always fully devoted to cooking, he liked it, even he didn't cook very often.

With a cup of warm beverage he settled himself on a couch, moving fluffy pillows away so he could sit. Taking TV remote he turned on TV and started switching programs to find something interesting. Commercials. Commercials. Cartoons. Show about babies. Commercials. He left the Animal Planet channel, since he couldn't find anything better at the moment, and lifted his gaze to the doors on the opposite side of room. Barbara's room, in which she was currently sleeping. He couldn't said they had the best start, or that he's thrilled to have a daughter, but they could figure this out. Their relationship is progressing, with baby steps, but that's still progress.

Knocking on the door startled him, that must be Lilyanya, she forgot something, and now she came back to get that, but she can't come in 'cause she forgot her keys. Again. He smiled shaking his head, she kept forgetting her keys since she moved in, he raised up and went to open the doors so his friend could took what she forget.
However, when he opened the doors, it wasn't Lilyanya Faulkner the person who was standing in front of them, but her brother, James. His brows raised, he must've been looking for Anya, since there's no way he's looking for him, after all, they weren't even buddies.
"Hello James. If you're looking for Lilyanya, she has just left, you just missed her." He leaned on the door, expecting James will leave.

(OOC: I placed this a bit in the future (after Sebastien met his daughter) so she can interrupt them if they become too noisy. xD)

James waited across the street for his sister to leave the apartment. Smiling as he saw her head out of his apartment and walk down the street. He saw her pause and look around but he knew that she wouldn't see him. Waiting till she disappeared around the corner did he come out of his hiding spot. Walking across the street casually and up the stairs to the apartment. Knocking he began the countdown of when his sister would return to the apartment. Waiting for him to answer and looking down the street where Anya disappeared. Upon hearing the door open he looked straight at the man in front of him.

"I know she left, I came here to talk to you Sebastien. May I come in?" James asked looking at him when he leaned on the door. "I have something I need to discuss with you now instead of later. It's regarding my sister," He waited for him to say something or let him in. James was not in the mood to play and was extremely mad when Anya told him she was now staying. He didn't like it at all considering how Sebastien treats Anya about everything. He knows his sister is hurting and knows that she won't say anything about it to him. So today he was going to sort everything out once and for all.

To talk with him?

Thought he tried to hide his surprise it was quite obvious. It wasn't secret that these two men hated each other. Sebastien thought James hates him 'cause he loves Anya, and he could live with that. This ex-Slytherin hated James simply because he thought James condemned him even he didn't know him. Even since he will never know him, at least if Sebastien is the one to ask.
However his curiosity was bigger than his argue to start mocking him so he let the other man in, closing the door behind him. He led him in the kitchen where he leaned on the table.

"I would never assumed you're the one who want to gossip about Lilyanya. Really James, your sister?" He tilted his head watching him. Bastien doubted he's here for that reason but that didn't stop him. He hated uninvited visitors, especially if he won't like their conversation, and he doubted this one, with James, will reach high place on his list. "Does she know you're here?" He pulled the chair out and sat on it than glanced at the clock. Half past three. He'll give him half an hour before he excuses himself because some important business. Maybe he could start to crochet, it would be more interesting then speaking with James, for sure.

James raised an eyebrow when he let him in but followed. In the kitchen he leaned against the wall crossing his arms in front of him. Looking around for any possible exits just in case this turned into a battle. "I'm not here to gossip about my sister Sebastien, I have more respect than that for her. You on the other hand I don't think you know how much she's willing to risk for you. You don't even care about her feelings so why are you protecting her? Do you enjoy tormenting her? I wanna understand your reasoning for doing this." He said looking at Sebastien straight in the face. "Of course she doesn't know i'm here."

"Do you even know how much you mean to her? I bet you don't even care about her at all, she's just some friend you see on occasion." James said close to shouting at him, he was angry with Sebastien. He wanted to hit him but he knew that would hurt his sister more than anything. "I know my sister better than even you do! She cares so deeply for you that she would walk through fire just so she could save you! Do you even care at all for her?! Or do you think she's some stupid girl with a crush?!" He got off the wall looking at him thunderous at him for allowing her to stay with him. "What are you willing to do for her knowing what she would do for you? She would die for you, if it kept you safe from harm."

If James thought Sebastien would answer on any of his question he was bigger fool than Bastien thought. A smirk appeared on this ex-Slytherin's face as he started to scrutinize his nails showing James how interesting his questions were. How foolish he might be if he actually waited for him to answer him. Sebastien waited during one silence minute become two minutes, two become four. After five minutes he disinterestedly found James' eyes. Oh boy he really was serious and waiting for his reply. His smirk become even wider. Too bad he won't get any answers.
"Don't worry that pretty little head of yours, what I've done or what I'm going to do is none of your business, James." He was careful that he accidentally couldn't answer on any of his questions. "You would rather let some sick bastard torture her? I'm convincing you being tortured is no fun at all."

He could assert that, based on his experience. He almost died in the process. He would die if Hayley didn't save him. At the time she came he wanted to die. To stop all that. He was already exhausted, without food and water more than a week and with large blood loss. It was agony, and he wanted to finish it. Sebastien sometimes wished that Hayley came too late, when he was already dead. It would end the pain that still exist thought months had passed since he was chained to the wall. However, he could revive every moment of torturing in his memory. Sebastien stilly watched James as ghosts from his past vanished. The only mark that showed he's irritated with James was the thin line of his lips. No matter how much James thought he knew about Sebastien, he could mark his knowledge with a zero. That only made Bastien more determined not to answer on his questions. James could judge him without his help, too.

"Are you done?"

James was furious with Sebastien simply because he took his sister under his house. Seeing the smirk on his face made him even more furious with him. He never wanted to hit someone more than he wanted to hit Sebastien more than he did now. He could tell by his facial expressions that none of his answers would be answered. "It does matter when it comes to my sister. Do you even care for her at all? Just answer me that one question, Do you care about my sister enough to risk anything for her?" He said calmly trying to keep himself from yelling at screaming at him.

Pulling out a manila envelope from the satchel that rested against his hip throwing it on the table. "This is everything I have on the man stalking her. You wanna help her, start by going through that and figure out a pattern. I only got a slight pattern on his attacks against her, maybe you can find the rest. Hopefully this will be over before she gets her heart broken more just by being here." James said his voice barely contained his fury at the man standing in front of him. "She deserves a hell of a lot better from someone else. She deserves to be loved by someone without feeling like her heart's being ripped out."

Yes. But he certainly won't admit that to James. He kinda liked the picture of cold-harted bastard that James was giving to him. It suited him well, and as long as he's acting like that, that will keep this pathetic little man away from him. He couldn't imagine that two related people can be that different. No, not just two related people, but twins. Twins. He couldn't stand James, he never could, but he was quite good with his sister. Bastien shifted, turning so he couldn't see James. Did the other man think that gazing him that way could leave any affect on this ex-Slytherin? Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, besides his presence that irritated Bastien, there was nothing that James said or might say that could make him angry. 'Till now after, he guessed, more than a zillion fights with James, he could be completely still in his presence. However, that doesn't mean he liked to be near him. "It's. Not. Your. Business."

Sebastien reached and took the envelope, his fingers closing around soft material. He opened it, not sending even a glance in James' direction and spread out its content on the table. After a second of studying everything he unfolded something that looked like attempt of writing. "Who wrote this?" His eyes n arrowed as he tried to figure out what's written on it. "My daughter has better handwriting." He rotate the paper, checking if the different angle would help him. Nothing. He frowned and throw paper on the table. "That thing can't be read." He rubbed his face and took some picture of something. Again, the photographer was so good that he could see all shades of gray, but still couldn't recognize any object that might be there. "Enlighten me James, what is all this." He knew these are the results of his investigation, but he couldn't study them, his handwriting is that terrible. God, why twins can't be more alike, Lilyanya has perfectly readable handwriting. And James, James did not.

James started getting more and more agitated at him as he finally snapped. "HOW IN THE HELL IS IT NOT MY BUISNESS?! SHE'S MY SISTER, MY FAMILY!" He shouted at him wanting nothing more than to punch him in the face but refrained himself. "ADMIT IT! TELL ME THAT SHE ACTUALLY MEANS SOMETHING TO YOU!" He wanted to throw things at him or bloody him until he finally concede defeat. With Sebastien just sitting there acting like nothing fazes him made James think he had no heart. "Your a cold hearted bastard Sebastien. I don't know why my sister loves you if you can act like she means nothing to you." He said as he shook his head at him.

"I'm sure your daughter can, if it troubles you that much as Anya to tell you." James said his voice venomous as he looked at the papers on the table. He looked at the picture that he had taken and were blown up to see the man clearly. The man was short with long black hair tied at his nape. He had four scars slashed across his face and he looked strong enough to take on a bear. "Everything on the paper in front of you is his habits, where is during the day as well as during the night. I don't know where he lives but I know where he is when he come back from there. Ask Anya to translate them for you then you'll have everything you need on him." James said not saying anything more to him.

"Yes she is, but that don't give you a reason to pry in her, or in my life." Sebastien was happy he pissed him off, maybe it was childish behaviour for 27 year old man but he couldn't help himself, there was something that made him feeling satisfied every time he pissed Lilyanya's brother off, he liked pushing his buttons just to see how far he can got his time. "No, I don't love her, I can't love her since my hart is already taken by someone else, since the first time I saw that person." He glared somewhere behind James shoulder with nostalgic look in his eyes and hurt look on his face. "Since the first time I saw you James. My brain is screaming to stop speaking but my heart aches to finally say this aloud. I can't love your sister cause I love you, James Faulkner." He met his gaze and kept it. "I love you, since the time we met." If he didn't piss him off already, Sebastien was sure he did it now with his little speech. This whole thing was probably the one of his greatest ideas recently, he couldn't wipe away the feeling of pride because of this whole farce, but it will disappear when James finally hit him.

Rolling his eyes he gazed the papers for the final time, before looking back to James. "I'll try…Maybe." Of course he will, he wanted to examine every single piece of it, but he decided to wait until James go to hell, or wherever people like him live. "So I can mention this little conversation to Anya, correction, this whole little conversation?" He smirked at James, Bastien was pretty sure James didn't want for Anya to know everything he said today, and thought he didn't have any intention to tell her everything either, that didn't mean he can't mock him with that, a bit.

James listened to him speak and shook his head wanting to shake some sense into him. He didn't know what to do with Sebastien as he leaned against the wall staring at him. Hearing him say the reason that he couldn't love his sister made him feel like an asshole. "Then you need to tell her that, tell her that you love someone else." James said looking at Sebastien then froze seeing the look on his face. "What?" He said looking at Sebastien with confusion on his face. "I don't believe you, if you did you would have showed me a while a ago that you did. I don't believe anything that comes out of your mouth Sebastien."

James hearing that he would maybe try, he didn't say a word. "Mention whatever you want to Anya, it's not like my word will mean anything to you. You do things however you want no matter what someone else says." He said glaring at him wanting to hit him right now because he knew that he was being played. Turning as if to leave he looked back at him and said, "Take care of my sister or else. She's got a heart as big as Texas and would die for anyone without thinking twice about it." He then walked out of the kitchen not even looking back.
