Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Start of the Term Empty Start of the Term

Post by Christopher Locke Thu Sep 18, 2014 7:49 pm

It had been a rather eventful start to the term and the school year as a whole. The train had fell into the lake, and a pack of werewolves attacked. Those events made the start of the year very interesting and with a frightening backdrop. They were in store for some dark days, which could only mean that there would be more attacks. But, he hoped that he was wrong. That was the last thing that they all needed, and thinking about it only made it worse.

His sores, bruises, and scrapes were already starting to heal over. That was a good thing. But, Chris hoped that the rest of the term, and hopefully the year, were smoother after the chaotic beginning. It could only get better, right?

At any rate, Chris sat down on a couch in the Hufflepuff Common Room, and dropped his bag on the floor next to him. After the late sorting yesterday, there really wasn't much time to converse with his new housemates. It was pretty late after all was said and done. So, this was really his first time to relax, after the day's classes. Of course, it wasn't going to be too much of a relaxation, since they were already given work. He wasn't too keen on the idea, but there wasn't much that he could do.

Opening his bag, Chris took out his books. He opened up his Herbology book to the section on Triflings, and began to read. At least he found the subject matter fascinating.

The school term didn't really start tge best way this year. Ciara was a little bit scared what will happen now but she tried not to show it out. She needed to be strong. She hoped the rest of term will go better.

She didn't do much after the feast too. She just went to sleep straight after it, she was so tired already then. She would have fallen asleep middle of talking and that's why she even didn't try talk with anyone.

The next day she had her first lessons already. Girl liked her all lessons. She learned new things for sure. After the classes she walked into her common room. She saw one boy there reading a herbology book

She stood there and wondered what to do. "Hello?" She manged to ask after few minutes standing there middle of the room basically

At the very least, as far as Chris was concerned, their classes hopefully wouldn't ramp up the difficulty any time soon. After all, the castle was just recently attacked. Triflings were of course creatures in their own right, so they would probably be a difficult thing to handle. At least, initially. The whole point of the lesson would be to learn how to take care of them. Plus, they probably had something to do with Herbology, since that was where they were introduced.

As Chris read, he wasn't aware of other students in the room with him, since he tried to concentrate on what he was doing. At the sound of the greeting, he looked up from the page. A fellow first year had came up to him. Despite the craziness of yesterday, he recalled seeing her after the sorting.

"Hey," he greeted her with a smile. Noticing that she was just standing there, he offered, "If you want, you could join me." Being a first year meant that unfortunately they knew basically no one in the castle, yet. "I'm Chris Locke," he introduced himself to her.

So far her favorite lesson was herbology. It was good lesson and she get know so much there. She never thought of raisi g even dragon. She knows it will take long time and it won't be easy task for sure. She needs lots of learning before she really can do it her own. She hopes she could do it one day. She liked Dragons actually.

Ciara smiled there to herself. Soon she saw the boy looking up from the page. She was glad that she could get his attention now here.

Ciara nodded and went to sit next to him then on that couch there. "I'm Ciara McGee," she said there with smile. "It's nice to meet you Chris," she added then with smile and offered her hand then. She was raised as polite kid.

The prospect of even raising a dragon was exciting. Hopefully it would come sooner rather than later. Naturally, they would need enough knowledge of how to properly care for the Triflings. But, that would come soon enough hopefully. Even after they had the knowledge, they would still need to wait until the eggs were hatched. That would probably be an interesting day when that happened.

"It's nice to meet you too, Ciara," Chris responded with a smile. Noticing her outstretched hand, he grasped her hand and shook it.

"I hope you're alright after everything that happened yesterday?" he asked her. She didn't appear to be too affected, but it was often hard to determine that just by looks.

It was sure exiciting but let's see how that all lessons go. When dragons hatch will be interesting day for all first years for sure, some of them will see real dragon first time ever with her own eyes, like Ciara.

After shaking the hands Ciara did put her hand on her lap and smiled.

"I'm okay. I have few bruises there and there but and few scratches which will heal soon enough away. Nothing serious didn't happen. I never really expect to start my first year like this," she said there honestly. "What about you?" she asked then back from him. She wanted to know if he is alright too.
