Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Meeting With Audriana Swan Empty Meeting With Audriana Swan

Post by Hallie Cooper Fri Aug 29, 2014 10:08 pm

Months ago, just before Hallie had taken lead of the Order she'd acquired information, a key of information that had opened the door to a magnitude of questions. The clue she'd found was in the form of a classified document, one that resided in the desk of the Minister's Office. Hallie had only been to the office twice in her life: Once to meet her match in the marriage law, whose name she couldn't think; the second time to discuss maternity leave. Of course Hallie had only used the 'maternity leave' act as a bluff in hope to scout of who this new Gideon person was. Little did she know she'd find herself in the office alone, snoop in his draws and copy a few exerts from a highly classified document - as well as leaving the office with a promotion to boot.

Hallie had passed the few pages of the document to Jack Dyllan, who had been the current Order Leader. Of course she'd inherited these copies once stepping up to chance charge. They didn't say much other than outlined possible plans to deal with the population problem - one of those plans being the marriage law. Of course all this information was public knowledge but what wasn't public knowledge was the fact that these documents had been found in the Ministers Office. Only two people had occupied the office since the marriage law: Elijah Krum and Gideon Pierce.

It was possible that the document had been there since Ana Levski and Elijah Krum used the office to conduct meetings. Upon her search of the ministers office the only thing in the office was the classified document. Surely if Gideon Pierce had cleaned out the entire office of Krum's belongings that document would go too? Suggesting it was his, but one could argue that it was important information for him to know. At the moment Hallie was completely befuddled as to whom owned the document but that didn't really matter. Elijah Krum had practically told her that Gideon Pierce was the person behind the law, the puppeteer pulling the strings of ever witch and wizard in Britain, she just needed cold, hard proof and the document could be just that.

There were ways that the document could serve as proof Gideon actioned the marriage law, the first being the handwriting. Hallie didn't know Gideon's handwriting but she hoped that someone in the Order would do - this would be subject of conversation in their upcoming meeting. Another clue was fingerprints and traces on the document. Hallie had combed over the copied document and found nothing, but that wasn't because there was nothing it was because she only had a copy. A fake. True imprints of the original document, things that can't be seen by the eye, aren't transferred to copied objects meaning the real document would be necessary for Hallie to conduct such an investigation. That mean't one person: Audriana Swan.

Although the witch had failed to find Hallie's Father's watch she had provided results before for other people. It was rare that she failed at such a task and that is why Hallie had requested a meeting with her in private at Twelve Grimmauld Place. To present her with her task and to fill her in a little more on the updated situation.

There was still a problem with all of this. Even if Gideon did write the document that wasn't proof that he personally forged the marriage law. The public could easily presume he was acting upon the orders of somebody else to present ideas for a marriage law. None the less it would give the public someone to point the finger at and that was a start. That was a start to the revolution this country needed.

Seating herself in the kitchen, Hallie waited for her fellow Order member to arrive.

Meeting With Audriana Swan Empty Re: Meeting With Audriana Swan

It had truly been ages since Audriana had decided to take a job at all, nonetheless worked on anything regarding the Order. Although her first years out of Hogwarts had been incredibly tied to the cause and the people involved, over time she had distanced herself and focused more on helping people outside of that organization. It wasn't like the woman needed the money from the jobs -- no, Audriana just hadn't ever wanted to be idle. When the Order had gone through its more quiet, less active phase, she had found other things that would take up her time.

Once she had dealt with Robin for quite some time, Audriana had easily found her niche in dealing with the wrongdoings of the Death Eaters and anyone that would steal from those not directly involved in any of their doings. Even non-Death Eaters, like Ivanov, would not be let off as far as she was concerned. She had never been granted the justice she believed she deserved, so she had taken to helping others who couldn't manage what she could thanks to her now vast bank of seemingly random knowledge. When the pieces were put together, though, it often became the basis for her searches and findings.

Apparently, though, it was time for her to find her way back into the world of The Order, because she had a meeting with Hallie Rookwood Cooper who was now leading the organization after Jack Dyllan had moved on. After having worked for the blonde before, Audriana had developed enough respect for the woman to agree to a meeting. Even if she did have to go out to the Order Headquarters to do so.

Stepping into the home, she glanced around, taking a breath of time to remember that they had decided to talk in the kitchen. So she passed through the doorway and stood across the table from Hallie. She was one of the few people that Audriana was not planning on acting cold towards. One of the few that the brunette didn't want to be short with or rush a meeting with. After everything that Hallie had gone through, it made Audriana seriously question the main she believed she had been put through over the years.

"I'm guessing something's gone wrong?" she asked, pulling out a chair and sinking into it. "What can I do for you?"

Meeting With Audriana Swan Empty Re: Meeting With Audriana Swan

Hallie looked up from the continued voices in her head. One voice was saying that she was taking things to far, that people would think she was taking advantage of the Order for self gain whilst the other, the objective voice, was telling her she was doing it for all the right reasons: for the good of the wizarding population. Blaming the Ministry for the loss of her child and for the marriage law was complete coincidence, bad timing, but Hallie's life had turned into a positive feedback mechanism. The more she grieved the more fuel in her hatred of the ministry, the more fuel in her hatred of the ministry the more she got wound up about the marriage law and the more Hallie wound herself up about the law the more the blonde wanted a rebellion. A rewriting of the law completely. The marriage law was the epicenter of all problems in the world.

'Hello, Aud.' Hallie said, forcing a friendly smile. The past two weeks the blonde had hardly smiled. What with her grieving, the lack of sleep and the fact that she had now officially filed for divorce. Feeling her cheeks crease, her lips pushing upwards felt foreign. A part of Hallie had forgotten the sensation of smiling, much like her Mother.

'I had a meeting with Elijah Krum.' Hallie began, delving right into the pit of the problem. 'I had a few questions about the marriage law and hoped that he'd be able to answer them. He didn't tell me much but he basically told me that Gideon Pierce is the reason behind the marriage law.'

'Before Jack left the Order I managed to get a copy of a classified document outlining the marriage law from Gideon's Office. I copied a few sheets and sent them to Jack but the only thing is that the copies only copied what I saw. There is no magical traces, no proof that Gideon Pierce ever held or wrote the plans.'

The way Hallie spoke was somewhat robotic. The blonde was being professional, there was no time for contemplating what this information mean't for Hallie had mulled that over enough. Everything was strictly business.

'I know it's a big ask but I need that document. We need it to prove that Gideon Pierce is the culprit behind the marriage law. It could be that the document is still in Pierce's office, in which case an Order member who works in the ministry would have a better shot of getting it but if they were caught they'd lose their job, perhaps be made into a spy, sent to Azkaban.' Hallie shivered. The thought of any Order members being subject to the dementors for acting on her orders scared her.

'It may have been moved. I understand completely if you're not up for the task but it would be a huge piece in the puzzle. What we'd do with the document I'm not quite sure yet, I figured I'd discuss it at the next meeting?'
