Whoever Said Slytherin Is Not a Fraternity? Empty Whoever Said Slytherin Is Not a Fraternity?

Post by Brice Volkov Sun Aug 24, 2014 2:06 pm

Something was beating in his chest. He never thought the summer would end so quickly, and he barely met anyone before the school year. He missed Durmstrang a bit, but loved the idea of transferring to Hogwarts. It was the last day of Diagon Alley for Brice, a place he learned to love. He had no idea why, but the place, always so agitated, just made him feel a little better, even restraining a bit of his falsehood. He knew that wouldn't always be good, but he didn't care. It gave him some freedom from his daily life, and he had good times there. He also had an apprenticeship there, before even knowing it was a law, and after knowing it was a law that he didn't need to obey, he kept the apprenticeship, since he found Lorcan a nice person, and he loved potions. The only class he liked as much as potions would be transfiguration and, secretly, Dark Arts. People always thought Durmstrang had learned to stop, but their infamous condition stays. They didn't teach as much as they once did, but he learned from his parents instead. Funny. He could even trick his parents to do him things... but it didn't matter for him. No, it was time for him to chill at Diagon Alley, and maybe meet someone with his last day.

He wandered a bit, occasionally seeing a friendly face around, but it would soon disappear. He decided that it was time to settle a bit and look at the stores. He decided to look at the Quidditch shop, examining the Neverlanding. He would buy it. It was no doubt. But he decided to go ahead and stop to look at the restaurants. It was about lunch time, and he was hungry. He just stood there, inspecting everything for a while. Maybe it did make him hungrier, but he decided to see how much he could resist.

Whoever Said Slytherin Is Not a Fraternity? Empty Re: Whoever Said Slytherin Is Not a Fraternity?

Emily had came to Diagon Alley away from her home since there was her parents and little sister, who was just two and always screamed or cried and that did get on Em's nerves. She needed some peace and she decided she would found it away from her home. So she ended up coming to Diagon Alley. She also needed to buy from here few things for her school still. She left always such things on her last day. She walked around the Diagon Alley and wondered where she could go a first. It was hard to choose. She needed books, new broom, new clothes and so on. She sighed and saw there and there familiar faces, some of them said hello, others ignored her.

She didn't mind it at all. She soon heard her stomach to growl, so that meant she was hungry. She had actually skipped the breakfast today and it was lunch time already. She had no idea where she could go and eat this time. "Where I should go and have lunch?" she asked there quietly from herself. She really couldn't choose at all. She saw book shop and went in and bought needed ones and began to search for a restaurant again.

His stomach growled. He still resisted for about ten minutes, before finally giving up. He decided to at least talk to someone before going inside. He saw a girl carrying her books that she had just bought. Probably a fourth year, since she looked as tall as his sister, Lily. He decided he could talk to her, maybe see if he could make some friends for himself AND his sister. He came up to her with a friendly smile and inspected her quickly. She seemed hungry, just as him. Maybe they could have lunch together. She also seemed like a hot-headed one, but those were easy to persuade. Enough thinking, he thought, and then said with his friendly smile:

"Hey, need some help carrying those books?"

Emily was carrying the books and same time looking for a place where to eat. Her stomach was a really empty for sure but she didn't want really go into random one. She needed to choose a good one for sure but it was hard.

Suddenly someone came to her and asked if he could carry her books. She looked at that stranger and wondered why he wanted to do it. She haven't never seen her before. He smiled back for a second.

"Sure you can carry these," she said then and handed books to the boy. She didn't really wanna carry them, they were quite heavy ones for her. She was glad that boy did even came to help her now. She had no idea what he wanted exactly but she didn't mind it right now.

Brice quickly took the books from the girl. Hopefully it wasn't that weird that a stranger just came up and asked to help her. Carrying them easily, since he was tall and fairly strong, he decided to start talking about something, to break the momentary silence.

"I'm Brice Volkov. I guess the only way people recognize me is with my last name, since I'm the son of a famous quidditch player. I just decided to help you out since you seemed to be having a little bit of trouble carrying all of these books, plus it's lunch time."

Well, at least he was hungry, so he thought she would be too. He balanced the books on his left hand, still with his smile.

Emily nodded her there quietly. She found it strange for sure but she didn't mind it right now. It was better than carry them herself there now. She smiled when the boy just introduced himself now.

"Emily Night, not much known about my family so much, like yours. Em.. i guess I should say thanks then," she tried to sound a nice at least right now. Even if she wasn't like that all. "Yeah it's lunch time," she agreed with it now.

She wasn't sure what Brice wanted to say exactly with it. She wasn't that bright one for sure. "You mean that we should go and eat together?" she asked then basically, when she began to realize what he meant by it.

Rolling his eyes, he nodded. Not because he liked her or anything, but it'd be good to make a new friend, maybe. He got progressively hungrier. I mean, he'd rather be in the Knockturn Alley than eating at that moment, but he just felt too hungry. He was kind of rude due to his hunger, and he hoped Emily didn't notice. He passed the books from hand to hand, in a bit of boringness. But there was no time to waste, after all.

"Yeah, we can. Don't mean anything by it, I just feel like meeting some new people. And eating. I mean, why not? It's my first year at Hogwarts."

That would probably sound weird since he was way taller than her....

Emily looked at the boy and wondered why he came to talk just with her but she never got answer for that question in her mind. She heard what boy said now and just nodded her head there. She wasn't sure what to say on that all.

"Em okay," was first think what she could say. She tried to understand how it will be first year in Hogwarts for Brice. "Sure we can go and eat then. Friends is always good to have," she said there then something, she didn't really mean it but tried to sound like that. "Oh, wait you are transferring from then from some other school right?" she basically asked now after few minutes, when she realized it how it was his first year in Hogwarts.

"Oh I'll be fourth year in Hogwarts. I'm in slytherin house," she added then about herself.

"I'm from Durmstrang. I'm starting fifth year. I haven't been sorted... yet. I wonder how Hogwarts is.. and don't tell me! I want to find out once I get there."

Although Brice didn't know what house he'd end up on, he agreed with most people that he would end up in Slytherin. Although some also suggested Ravenclaw, he thought he had the characteristics of a Slytherin. So, he believed there was a fellow Slytherin. Fourth year, but still, a fellow Slytherin. If he read correctly, Hogwarts had the four houses, and the Slytherins secretly prided the fact that they were the actual fraternity, and the Gryffindors tried to be just like them, and failed. If Slytherin was a fraternity, a brotherhood, then that meant one more point to his "truth measure" about each house. And Slytherin didn't seem to lie... or at least they lied really well. Funny... one more to the ACTUAL truth measure. Good liars.

"Oh. I have heard about that school before," she said there and nodded her head there. She wasn't sure what else now say about that.

Emily was a good liar, she could lie about what ever she wanted and needed. So far noone reay doesn'y suspect her in anything. Girl has never done her homeworka, she let's them to do other people. She rather will spend her free time on something else. Not surr about fraternity in her case.

"Where you wanna go eat?" She asked then from Brice now. She really need to go qnd eat something now already. She was a really hungry. She was glad that her stomach didn't do very load noises, it would be embarrasing.
