Fun before the trouble

Sam scared, he was honestly scared that they would send him to Azkaban for not following the marriage law. He didn't know if he was going to go to Azkaban or not,  but he was scared he was. Sam didn't want to go for as something as stupid as this,  but did he really have a choice?It wasn't like it was his fault really,  he just never received a letter or anything. Although he knew that even if he was matched,  the possibility of him loving them was very slim.  He obviously liked wait,  no loved Hitame,  there was just something about her that draws Sam in.


Sitting in the three broomsticks,   Sam stared out the window seeing students enjoy the last Hogsmeade trip of the year. Shaking his head Sam smiled to himself, as odd as it made seem Sam liked seeing kids carefree and happy. They didn't have a worry in the world,  just summer time homework over break. Sam was here to meet Hitame and spend the day with her. He knew that he shouldn't but he heard Nick and Sarah were back together again and they signed a petition to be together.    

Staring out the window deep in thought he was finally snapped of of his thoughts as he seen a third year getting picked on. "Hey leave him alone!"Sam cried to the kids who seem like a bunch of seventh years picking on him. Sam hated people who picked on third years, in his opinion they were nothing then a bunch of punks. "Bug off before you hurt yourself!'said one of the Slytherin boys smirking at him. "Oh I highly doubt that, I think it'll be more you then anything!"Sam replied back in a calm voice.

"Is that a thread Nesbitt? because you know I'll beat you down."said the slytherin boy whipping out his wand. "Yeah I guess it is, but you know what I'm not afraid I can take you,  I'm a graduate your just a pathetic seventh year!"said Sam smirking at him. "We'll see about that! Stupefy!"said the slytherin boy as the red spell headed quickly towards Sam. But Sam who was quite a good duelist seen it coming pulled out his wand and reacted. "Protego!" as the spell bounced off his shield. "You know, you shouldn't hit someone who isn't ready for it!'Sam cried. "Fine I see this duel isn't going anywhere, I'll just fight you by hand!"the slytherin boy cried as he walked up to punch Sam but before he did Sam caught his hand. "I wouldn't do that if I were you."said Sam smirking at him as the Slytherin boys ran away.

"Thanks."the first boy said shyly. "No problem, I know how it feels to be picked on, I was that way."said Sam honestly. "Really? well thankyou I'm going back to the Gryffindor common room that way I'm safe."said the first year. "Good idea, I think you'll be safer there."said Sam honestly not wanting the boy to get hurt anymore. As the boy walked off Sam sat back down taking a drink of his butterbeer.

She was happy.

Hitame Higurashi. The girl who was never happy, who never felt anything but sorrow and pain, was happy? Something big must have happened to make that a reality. And something big did happen, and just before it was too late too.

Nick and Sarah had made up and had petitioned to e together. That was something that had relieved her greatly. It meant that Hitame would no longer have to marry Nick. She was free, technically. She was still suppose to abide by the law, but she needed to wait to be rematched. She didn't know how long she was supposed to wait or who her next match was going to be, but she really hoped it would be a certain someone.

It was a Hogsmeade weekend, and one of the last ones before school was over. She hoped someone she wanted to see was going to be there, like he said he would be. Hitame was rarely excited about anything anymore, but this wa something that she had to share with Sam. If he didn't already know, which was highly unlikely, since Sarah was his sister. Life was ironic. To think that Hitame had been matched with Nick, and that she was in love with his ex's older brother. It was strange, but she was glad that they weren't exes anymore. It made things so much easier.

She just hoped she wouldn't end up in Azkaban if the Ministry didn't send her another letter soon. It wouldn't be fair.

The Gryffindor stopped by a tree when she saw Sam come out of the Three Broomsticks to protect a young boy who was being picked on. She hated when people picked on others, she knew exactly what it felt like to be picked on, but she decide to not get involved. She watched as Sam dueled shortly with one of the boys before they took off and waited until the younger boy left to speak.

She leaned against the tree and raised an eyebrow. "Didn't think you had that in you." She smirked. "Good to know I'll have someone to protect me." She cooed softly, walking over to him. She'd never needed protecting and she wouldn't need it any time soon, but it was better for him to think he'd be protecting her at some point than not at all.

Sam chuckled and smiled. " Well... I guess that's something else you learned about me. " said Sam smirking at her. " You'll always be protected by me, even when your stubborn arse self doesn't think she needs it. " said Sam smiling at her. Sam knew all to well how Hitame was, she was stubborn as hell and didn't let anyone help her. "You know Ms. Higurashi you need to stop being so stubborn and hard headed. " said Sam smirking at her. " Makes it hard for me to understand you at times. "said Sam smiling at her.

Seeing her happy, Sam smiled at himself for he was happy that she was happy. " Not I'm happy that you're happy, but what got you in a good mood?"Sam asked her softly. " I think I know what you're happy about. "said Sam honestly. " I'm honestly happy to, but if Nick hurts her again I won't show any mercy. " said Sam darkly as his emerald eyes went dark in anger. " So if the prick doesn't want to die, he better treat her right. " said Sam honestly.

Sam was very protective of Sarah his little sister, but if Sarah was going to give Nick a second chance, so should he. " So what do you want to do Ms. Higurashi? I'm all yours today!"said Sam softly before kissing her softly on the lips. Pocketing his wand, he wrapped his arms around her. " So... have any plans this summer?"Sam asked her curiously. " I got a trip planned to go to America if you're interested. " said Sam softly shrugging as if it wasn't no big deal.

" I thought maybe you'll want to get away this summer, if you don't want to go that's fine. "said Sam softly. " I'm thinking of asking everyone else if they want to go, I know Soph and them need some time away. " said Sam honestly. Although he wasn't sure if Maura and Ryo had their own thing going on or what, but it was worth a shot right? Besides they all needed to get away, they all had a lot on their plates lately. Be honest, probably everyone did lately due to the marriage law.

"That wouldn't make me much of a Gryffindor though, now would it?" Hitame inquired softly, raising an eyebrow at Sam's comment about always protecting her. She held back her usual response to someone telling her something similar. Normally she would almost lash out, saying she didn't need anyone protecting her. That she was able to look out for herself like she always had, but sometimes she felt as though she should allow someone to protect her. She'd just done it for so long that she didn't exactly remember how to do that.

Hitame tilted her head to the side as Sam spoke and her eyes narrowed as his became darker. "I know you don't want him to hurt her, but it's her decision if she wants to go back with him." She said. "Of course, that doesn't mean that I won't help you if he attempts to do anything bad to her again." She added. Nick wasn't exactly on her good side so any wrong move from him and she would be ready to hurt him for it.

The Gryffindor felt his lips on hers before she could answer his question, but once they were pulled away, Hitame smiled at him. "I was thinking we could have a sort of picnic." She said. "I kind of set things up at te clearing just out of Hogsmeade, I go there a lot to think and watch the sun set." She told him. He mentioned the summer, and it dawned on her that school was almost over. Another year had gone by so fast, she hadn't even noticed it. She had her OWLs soon and she wasn't so sure she was ready to take them.

She shook the thought out of her head and looked at Sam. Her eyes sparkled, something they usually never did lately and she thought for a moment. "I was planning to visit Japan, since it's where I'm originally from, I guess." She said. "Well, it's where my adoptive parents were from. And my mother too, I think." She shrugged. She hadn't bothered to learn much about her biological parents.

"But if you want me to go with you to America, I can postpone my trip over there. I'm not really sure I want to go anyways.." She said, a sad time to her voice. After everything that happened with Naomi, she wasn't sure she wanted to go anywhere that would remind her of the younger girl and Japan was te last place she should go.

Sam looked at her and shook his head. " You'll always be a Gryffindor no matter what Hit, bravery isn't always measured by doing brave and noble things. "said Sam. " Ugh... god, now I'm starting to to act like Sophia!"said Sam groaning. " I been hanging around Sophia and the others to long, they're starting to rub off on me. " said Sam chuckling. " But really Hit, it's ok to be the damsel in distress. " said Sam softly. " Ok...that was a bit cliche and cheesy, but you get my point. "said Sam softly but honestly.

Sam sighed knowing she was right, but that didn't stop him from being protective over Sarah. She was his little sister for crying out loud! "I know Hit, I just don't want her to get hurt again by him. " said Sam simply. " But if he hurts her, I'll let you go all crazy on him!"said Sam winking at her. Nick wasn't on his good or trusting stage yet, so one wrong move and he was done for.

"Mmm... a picnic sounds wonderful, I can't remember the last time I had a picnic. " said Sam honestly. " Pack any grapes so we can feed each other like they do in those cheesy romance movies?"Sam asked her smirking. He knew he'll probably get a look or hit for it, but that was how Sam was. Sarcastic and always spoke his mind no matter what. " Although I'm just kidding, sort of. "said Sam chuckling.

" Hit I would love if you came with me, but you really need to go to Japan. " said Sam softly. " I tell you what, I'll go with you and we'll spend half in Japan and half in America how does that sound?"Sam asked her softly kissing her forehead. " Hey turn that frown upside down Ms. Higurashi, we're here to have fun!"said Sam smiling. " Come on, lets go on our picnic!"said Sam softly.
