Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

She believed she was a rather talented witch when it came to dealing with dark magic. The American Institute was very thorough about teaching the next generation how to protect themselves. Even if the United States was a young country, it had more dark magic hiding underneath from how many other cultures had once occupied the lands. Salem was a perfect example, due to the Salem Witch Trials there was some lingering darkness on the school grounds.

But that didn't give her the right to skip Defense Against the Dark Arts.. right? Apparently Leven thought she could from how advanced she thought she was. Instead that was the main reason why she was still running away from the professor that was rather peeved off at the knowing she was skipping their class. Running to some was a big feat, but for Leven she found herself just rushing around on the third floor of Hogwarts without any trouble.

Leven enjoyed learning the material don't get her wrong, she simply hated the idea that she had to review things that she already may have learned. It just.. downright bothered her that they made her feel even the slightest bit stupid. It was her pride she hated to be insulted. Thus, the main reason why she was running around like a nut.

Kyria had been experiencing one of her old occasional lazy days; days in which she didn't feel like attending classes, well maybe just a few classes she didn't feel like attending. She was a very well-versed girl in magic, doing a bit of self-study mostly because of how fascinated she had become of magic since she first heard of it. Of course it would be alright to attend classes to learn a bit more about what she may already know from self-exploration, but her main reason for not attending class was simply because she didn't feel like it.

Kyria didn't quite enjoy History of magic as much as she enjoyed potions, but being one of her first classes of the day, it was still quite a tedious class, making sure she followed instructions precisely to avoid the bombing of the classroom. After that she had become quite lazy after spending much energy making potions. Still she had the energy at least to escape and wander around. Just because she felt lazy didn't mean she wasn't up for an adventure or two. She was always up for those because it kept her boredom at bay and never lacked excitement, much like some of her classes did after her practice had settled in. Or in this case, she was sure she'd be bored to death from history notes.

Kyria felt quite accomplished that she had managed to escape her teacher all the way to the third floor. She made it two floors up but kept running, sure that Professor Binns probably sent someone, a prefect or perhaps a sub or just a teacher on free time, to come after her. That's if he assumed she was skipping, although as a an ancient experienced ghost he probably knew what with other students most likely skipping his class throughout the years. At this point Kyria decided she should find a place to hide out til classes ended. She stopped and looked around, slightly out of breath. The only place really where she could hide was that statue of a hunchbacked witch, whose name escaped her. If anyone were searching for her, that would be an easy find.

Kyria decided to keep walking but to be on the lookout for prefects and teachers checking the hall. She decided at the next corner she would hide there and scope the surrounding area. Kyria quickened her pace, adrenaline rising as she became more expectant of someone following her, causing her to tilt her head as she grew cautious. She swiftly turned the corner and-

"OW!" Kyria staggered back after ramming head on right into someone going her direction. Whoever it was, she accidentally bumped head and their shoulders hit. Kyria held her head and rubbed it, squinting her eyes in pain since it hurt more than her arm. "My god! I'm so sorry," Kyria apologized.

The pain that suddenly coursed through Leven's body was on par with the same pain she had felt when walking into her bathroom door in the middle of the night. Closing her eyes tightly and holding her head for a moment, Leven cracked open only one single eye to see another student standing right in front of her.

She seemed familiar, perhaps they had a class or two together, or even just glances at the morning, afternoon or evening meals. The reason why she had turned such a sharp corner without realizing who might be around it and without taking a look. Then she remembered the reason why and Leven was not all keen on being founded by her more then likely unhappy Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.

Hastily Leven grabbed the robe sleeve of the other dark haired student in front of her and basically dragged back of them in a portion of the hallway where suddenly a rather furious and oblivious professor stormed by; unhappy. Leven hadn't realized she was holding her breath for so long. "I'm so sorry for rushing into you." Leven suddenly spoke, her voice at a normal tone but slightly hushed.

The redhead rubbed the back of her neck, appearing sheepish. "I was kinda hiding from my professor.."

Kyria thought the girl she just ran into looked rather familiar. She seemed to be wearing a Gryffindor robe so she must've seen her in the common room or perhaps the Great Hall whenever there was a meal.

Kyria gasped as the red-head pulled her sleeve and hid. Heavy footsteps were coming in their direction and an angry professor came storming past their hiding spot. She released her breathe, which was a habit of hers whenever some kind of stress was put on her. It usually happened when the nervous, but exciting kind of stress occurred. But that's why Kyria loved it. The sound of heavy feet and a storming professor made her heart race and Kyria was always for the thrills, though at this point she should be used to hiding from teachers. However Kyria wasn't sure if that was even really possible. Kyria felt relieved that this girl pulled them away in time and smiled kindly ass he apologized.

"It's alright," Kyria replied in a whisper. It was partially her fault too anyway for rushing so close to the hallway wall before she made the turn. Kyria just kept her smile on because the girl seemed a little embarrassed for running into her.

"Well I was kind of doing the same thing. I just came of History of Magic you see. Unfortunately I don't wish to allow my professor the pleasure of boring me with lecture." Not that she wanted to get bored.

"Oh!" Kyria said hushed, "I'm Kyria Lyris by the way." She couldn't forget to be polite, since it seemed they may be avoiding teachers today.
