1 pm Meeting

Ana's laugh made Keiran smile as well. The girl was actually quite entertaining when she was happy, rather than nervous about a test. What had made her so cautious about the whole thing, Keiran didn't know, but he wasn't about to ask either. The whole ordeal was rather endearing, he decided.

Her question was nearly answered by Ana, but Keiran walked over offering, "There may be few places, but I'm sure they'd all be lovely." Shrugging he added, "I'm a fan of either of the pubs mostly because of the laid back nature of the two."

After a second thought, he wondered if it was weird to hear your Professor suggesting you eat at a pub for lunch? Perhaps it wasn't when he was also your future husband. Fiancé? Whatever he was. Ana was moving to sit behind her desk again and eyeing him with an air of amusement, causing him to frown at her. So he wasn't all that skilled when it came to things like this. It wasn't really his fault - he was at the school more often than not and it wasn't like he went about to find girls usually. The last person he'd been involved with in any way was Athena, and that hadn't exactly ended in any particular way, except that she was still married and he was still leaving for Hogwarts.

Looking back at Melissa, he awaited her reaction with slight caution. He wasn't even sure if she was suggesting the two go out and chat, or if she was simply hoping to go out for lunch herself.

Suffice to say, Millie was a touch more than bemused. She rose from her chair with an air of finality about her and brushed off a bit of lint from her jeans. She smiled brightly, shrugging her thin shoulders as if to say, ‘oh well’ and reached up behind to scratch at the top of the tattoo that grazed there, marring the pale skin with this odd beauty that was mesmerising yet totally stark in comparison to the soft unbreakable cream of her outer layer.

“How about, then,” she began gently. “you pick the place and I’ll get changed or find a jumper or something of the like?” She brushed her hands across her arms for a second or two before cocking her head towards the door.

Millie wasn’t entirely sure whether she was quite ready to accept that her Professor would be her husband but it was an interesting development that she wasn’t completely opposed to, to say the least. She smiled again, another blessed smile and moved towards the door, her boots clunking heavily on the floorboards.

“If your Slytherin self can bear to,” she called out over her shoulder as she reached the door. “I shall meet you outside of the Fat Lady, hm?”

And with that, Millie opened the door and slipped out, leaving the faint scent of pine needles and pumpkin trailing in her wake.
