Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Is This A Date? Empty Is This A Date?

Romeo wasn't entirely sure if he was going on a date or not. He hoped Trisha thought it was a date, it would certainly wipe the smirk from Baldric Wood's face, which brought Romeo back to the question whether it was a date for him. Sure Tris was attractive, smart, sophisticated - granted she was rather taboo given her nickname of 'spirit girl', but she was nice girl all the same. Yet, Romeo was questioning whether he was simply dating her to wind Baldric up.

After brushing his teeth - they had to be pure white, off white was for mixed breeds, Romeo was a pedigree - he grasped his Nimbus 2025 from underneath the bed, checked it's tail twigs were neatly ordered then headed from his dormitory and out of the common room. It was a fair walk from the Slytherin common room to the Entrance Hall. They didn't really need a password to enter, no other students would have a clue how to get there, not unless they were a Slytherin, slithering their way through the underground labrynth.

Finally, making his way up the dungeon staircase he arrived in the Entrance Hall. The four hour glasses stood tall by the Great Oak doors that was a barrier between the location of his date and him. Whether it was a date. The female students would certainly see it that way, but chances are it would feel like two friends hanging out. Although Romeo didn't intend to keep it that way. If things went well he would hopefully seal their flying with a kiss. A kiss that would leave her wanting more.

Smiling at a pair of Hufflepuff girls (who fell into a pair girlish giggles) Romeo lean't by the marble staircase, puffing his chest out, but not too much; pouting his lips, but not too much and clenching his jaw to make his jaw line more irresistably handsome. He was ready, all he needed now was for Trisha Bates to walk down those steps.

Is This A Date? Empty Re: Is This A Date?

Trisha didn't remember exactly how it had happened - Romeo had found her at the pitch angry about whatever it was the past week, watched her fly around, and offered her a training session. It was odd, sure, but at least he wasn't some stranger. They had met at the match when Baldric had basically shown up at her door and took her to the game where they ran into Romeo and Grace.

Something was strange between the boys, and Tris couldn't figure out exactly what it was. But if it meant that she got help with training for tryouts, perhaps it would work in her favor. Tris wasn't about to ask either of the guys what was wrong. After the failed sort-of-date she and Bae had gone on, she couldn't be around him easily without feeling awkward. Instead, she avoided him as much and as often as she could.

Thinking it through, Trisha decided that the best thing she could do would be to wear shorts and a tee-shirt (her usual love of scarves and skirts definitely would not work for Quidditch). Having picked up her wand she checked the time to see that she would be perfectly punctual if she left right then. She picked up her wand and started down the stairs.

Romeo was standing at the bottom of the stairs, handsome as always, and Trisha nearly laughed at herself for thinking so. She was hardly the type to consider if guys were good-looking or not. She had trained herself not to notice them over the years, because they had never noticed her. Or if they had, it was almost undoubtedly with some sort of dislike or contempt for Tris or her family. Or both.

As she reached the bottom of the stairs she graced him with a small smile in greeting.

It wasn't long before Romeo's eyes caught the legs of a familiar Ravenclaw walking down the marble staircase. They were, well, perfect. Who knew that Trisha Bates, the spirit girl, had such a grande pair of legs? It certainly wasn't what Romeo would have expected.

'Hi.' He grinned, now looking from her shorts into her eyes. It was really difficult to not admire the female body when it was pushed right in your face, even if it did come in the form of muggle shorts. However Romeo continued to keep his gaze above Tris' neck. The last thing he wanted was to come across as a perv. Being a perv never paid off - not that Romeo Zabini was a perv, he had more class than that.

'Are you excited then?' Romeo asked as he held out his hand for her to take. His warm hands were part of his usual plan. There was something about them that made girls melt. Perhaps it was simply the warmth that they held? Or maybe it was his soft touch? Accompanied with that romantic, knee-weakening gaze in his eyes his hands were pure gold. They were quiet the duo. A warm, soft, handsome touch along with a penetratingly perfect stare had won over more girls than Romeo could count.

Tris reached the bottom of the stairs as she heard Romeo's greeting. "Afternoon." She replied lightly, a bit surprised as he extending his arm for her. It wasn't odd for him to be the curiously gentleman type, but Tris hadn't been expected it. His question was nearly missed as the girl stared at his hand while he spoke.

"Y-yes, of course." She replied quickly, looking back up at him in embarrassment as she took his hand with some hesitation. Other than with Baldric, Trisha hadn't held hands with someone outside of her family. What exactly had she signed up for? She had a hard time believing that he could go from someone like Grace to being interested in her. Trisha was definitely not the one people paid attention to. Whether Grace was or not Tris couldn't say. But her mind was very distracted as she felt his grip around her hand.

Doing her best not to make more of a fool of herself, she started towards to the Quidditch Pitch with him more or less in tow. She had no problem taking the lead on something like walking in the right direction. She wasn't sure at all, however, what his plan was for the time they were spending on the field before dinner.

Wow. Before he could respond and tell her how he'd been looking forward to it since they had arranged it, how he'd done extra preparation to teach her Tris had took his hand and was leading them both to the Quidditch pitch. Perhaps she was more eager than he had thought.

'I was thinking you could use my broomstick and I'll borrow a school one from the broom shed.' Romeo said conversationally noticing she didn't have a broomstick with her. It seemed silly to keep sharing, then again if they were to ride his broomstick together that'd be fun. Fun that could be sealed with a kiss. Still, it only seemed polite to act so gentleman-like towards Trisha by offering his broomstick.

If only Romeo knew he was walking hand in hand with a muggle born. It went against everything that'd be been brought up to believe. Muggle borns were thieves of magic, lesser witches and wizards. Grime on the cobbles. He was secretly pleased he didn't turn sixteen until June, it meant he had more time to enjoy a varied pallet of girls rather than plain old boring beige day in and day out. Then again, what if all the good girls were taken. Romeo was into older girls, and chances are they would already be partnered. Would Tris be partnered soon? Oh Lord. It best had not be Baldric Wood. 'Have you heard anything about the marriage  law?' Romeo asked, hoping to find out more of her relationship status.

Trisha wasn't sure if she was wrong to have started off without waiting, but it was certainly too late to back off now. The hand-holding was strange, and she wasn't sure what exactly she was supposed to be doing with the Slytherin just yet. Loosening her grip on his hand, she offered him the chance to let go, silently.

"Oh, I really don't mind." She replied, shaking her head. "I'll have to use one for the games after all." She shrugged. "I haven't had time to go down to Hogsmeade and get my own yet. I bet yours is lovely, though." She added quickly, not wanting to be offensive. Tris was sure his broomstick was likely far more improved than anything she could get out of the school shed. "I haven't ever been on anything besides the school ones." She added with a shrug.

Oddly, Romeo asked about the Marriage law. Tris hoped he realized she was only a fifth year. "I've heard about it, yes. My friend got called for a meeting already. I suppose I'm glad I don't have to worry about that yet. In the spring, though, I suppose we'll see what happens."

It wasn't too very long before they were walking up to the pitch, and Trisha was smiling to herself as they approached it. No matter how recently she had been flying around inside the stadium, she always felt like it had been years. The worst were the days she had to sit at matches, watching and wishing she could be part of them.
