What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. There were some perks to wearing the Slytherin robes.  Their table location in the Great Hall, the convenience of the common room, and the way that frightened first years parted like the sea when you walked down the hall just because you wore the green tie. Being in Slytherin was a honor and a privilege, reserved as a way to mark the best of the best. When you belonged to Salazar's house you became part of a Brotherhood that was untouchable by the other houses.

Of course, there were also some drawbacks. Exhibit A - the dungbomb that had just nestled itself into the curls of Sonia's hair.

It was not immediately clear what had hit her on the top of the head and until the putrid smell reached her nostrils. With a shriek of surprise she bat the terrible thing off of her and turned to Vivianne who was walking beside her back to the dorms. As she did this another bomb hit her on the side, splattering her with an oily substance that smelt, well, like dung. It was with this second hit that Sonia realized it was no mistake. This was an attack.

Sonia's face hardened with anger and she pulled her bag over her head, trying to block against some of the dung pellets that were now being shot at the pair of girls with surprising speed. She reached for her wand and realized that it was no longer in her back pocket but rather the bottom of her bag where she had put it at the end of History of Magic. A look of panic and shock crossed her face and she called to Viv. "Come on!" At a fast pace she jogged down the corridor, pulling open the first door she reached in the search for a dung bomb free sanctuary.

Vivianna was pissed. Was this the Gryffindor's idea of intelligent revenge? It wasn't like she'd even done anything that bad. Not this time, anyway. In fact, in her own modest opinion, her actions the day before had been completely and utterly justified.

All the witch had done was teach some uneducated first year Gryffindors exactly why one shouldn't badmouth the Slytherin house. It wasn't like she'd traumatized them. Much. When one though about it, she'd been doing them a favor. After all, if the firsties couldn't survive a stern lecture now and again, they wouldn't make it past the first term. She hadn't even pulled her wand on them. She'd been good.

Slamming shut the door that she and Sonia had just run through, the redhead immediately began casting every locking and blocking enchantment she knew. Quite a few spells later, a slight breathless Vivianna plopped herself down upon one of the desks, and peered over at her dorm mate.

Out of all the girls she shared a room with, she probably liked Sonia the most. Not that the status was a very difficult thing to achieve. The Slytherin had always found Sonia fairly agreeable, and happy enough to stay out of her business. Considering that Vivianna was a pretty private person, the two had never had problems in all their years of sharing a sleeping space.

Crossing her legs at the ankles, the red-haired girl allowed her lips to curl into a sneer. "We gonna let them get away with that?" Vivianna asked Sonia, tone almost challenging. They'd known each other for over five years, so it was about time the blue-eyed girl figured out what Sonia was made of.

The door slammed and Vivianna began to shield them with all manner of spells. Sonia threw her bag to the floor and began brushing smelly dung bombs off of her as quickly as she could. The stench refused to leave even after the pellets had fallen to the floor and Sonia's stomach was beginning to rebel at the oder. The brunettes nose wrinkled and she pulled her shirt over her head before she could think too much about it. Sonia threw the garmet to the side and turned round the room, looking for a substitute.

Lying on an open shelf were stacks of freshly pressed Hogwarts robes, from which she grabbed a white blouse and pulled over her head. Her actions may have been somewhat alarming if it had been anyone besides Vivianna in her presence. The girls had shared a bedroom since age eleven - it wasn't as if the sight of Sonia's bra was a particularly groundbreaking event in the redheads life. Still, it was a bit embarrassing and Sonia did her best to smooth out her clothing. A cold look appeared on her face when she thought about the Gryffindors who had done this.

"You're kidding, right?" she responded to Viv's comment. "We're going to destroy them." Unintentionally her hand moved to her leg, where her favorite knife was disguised from view.

"I knew there was a reason I put up with you," the redhead announced with a teasing grin, completely unruffled by the sight of Sonia stripping in front of her. After all, they did share a dorm. At least Sonia wasn't like the other females in their year, who had only just got over giggling over makeup and constantly comparing cup-sizes.

Pulling her backpack onto her lap, the witch dug through it in her search for a particular vial. It was pretty obvious that the intense smell was starting to bother the other girl. Vivianna, who spent so much time surrounded by unattractive potions smells, was less bothered. Finding the vial she'd been searching for, the redhead tossed it underhand to her dorm mate.

"It'll settle your stomach," the girl stated simply, not bothering to explain why she carried around an anti-nausea potion in the first place. Vivianna used the potion occasionally whenever she was brewing something with particularly strong fumes. After all, having to stop and retch at the wrong moment would completely destroy any time-sensitive draught.

Regarding the brunette with her head tilted slight to the side, Vivianna reached back into her bag to retrieve two sugar quills. "Want one?" the Slytherin offered, "I've found that sugar always helps with plotting revenge."

Sonia took the vial she was handed and eyed it momentarily. Over the years she had noticed how much time Vivianna spent in the Potions dungeons and had observed her skill in the classroom. For this reason it was not the quality of the draft that made Sonia pause, but rather it's contents. She liked to think she trusted her dormmate after six years but that would be a lie - she didn't quite trust anyone intelligent.

Squashing her doubt, Sonia uncorked the small bottle and downed it in one swig, her stomach instantly settling. She grinned at Vivianna, "Thanks."

Sonia moved the the desk next to Viv and took a quill that she offered. With her stomach at ease and the promise of sugary goodness in her hands she was feeling unusually pleased for just having had poo thrown on her. "For sure." Sonia laughed. Yes, the brunette decided, she's alright. The dynamics in the Slytherin Girls dorm had always been a little strange. There were the girly girls, there was Vivianna, and then there was Sonia who sat somewhere inbetween.

The older Sonia got the more she appreciated the red haired girls company. She had much more of a head on her than most of the other teenage girls at Hogwarts, that was for sure. But after Sonia's betrayal of becoming friends with the Hufflepukes and Gryffindorks she had become much less certain of her standing among her housemates.

"Speaking of, I suggest we storm the Gryffindor tower. Their defenses can't be too difficult to get through."

Idiotic, hot-headed, good-for-nothing Gryffindorks Empty Re: Idiotic, hot-headed, good-for-nothing Gryffindorks

Vivianna pretended not to notice that the other girl had paused before drinking the potion. While many would consider such an act as a sign of deepest insult, the redhead was ever so slightly pleased. The action had proven to Vivianna that her dorm mate was at least decently trustworthy, for she'd thought before acting but had not hemmed and hawed in the foolish way that many teenagers do.

Offering a single nod in place of a response, the blue-eyed witch sucked on the end of her own sugar quill contently. It was a little strange how well the two of them were already getting along. Vivianna tolerated very few other students whom lived with her in the dungeons. As much as she respected her fellow snakes, most were either intimidated by her or resented the lack of information she shared. Her almost legendary mood swings and extreme viciousness of her pet probably didn't help much either. The fact that she had paid little mind to a possible ally, perhaps even friend, whom had resided in her very dorm room for years was an odd concept to wrap her head around.

"Catch them off guard," the witch continued softly. The idea had its merits. After all, such a sudden frontal attack was the last thing the house of lions would expect from sneaky Slytherins like them. "And you're right about their defenses, all they have is a password portrait. They don't even guard their password very carefully. In fact," Vivianna paused for a moment to lean in, feeling rather proud of herself, "unless they've changed their password within the last two days, we should be able to walk right in."

No matter how proud of this valuable information, the redhead wasn't exactly about to share how she'd gotten it. While Vivianna was far from the cruelest of her housemates, she definitely had what the average witch or wizard would call "questionable morals". While the girl herself considered her own morals perfectly reasonable, she didn't quite know Sonia well enough yet to comprehend the other female's own ideas on such matters. Vivianna would keep her mouth shut on matters of blackmail for now.
