a new year a new look

It was almost time for school to start and you knows what that means, it was time to go shopping for new clothes for the upcoming term.  It was a new Maura with a new personality and attitude, well... not really new attitude, it was more of a new look.  Besides, half of Maura's clothes either didn't fit her or just didn't fit her at all.  Her father deciding it was time for her to get some new clothes gave her some money to get whatever she wanted to get as long as it was up to his standards.  Of course Maura didn't like exposing that she that she was rich and came from a wealthy family, what girl wouldn't say no to shopping?  

Walking down the crowded street of London, Maura crashed into a chair by a small cafe on the corner and wiped the sweat from her forehead. Setting her shopping bags down, she reached into her leopard bookbag that matched her outfit.  Sighing as she seen her parents watching like a hawk Maura shook her head. Ever since she gotten tortured by James her parents watched her like a hawk allowing very few trusted people towards her, meaning Ryo and her close friends.  Her father even wanted aurors from the ministry to watch over her, but Maura didn't want that it was creepy enough her parents and her friends did that already!

As the waiter came towards her table and looked her up and down Maura rolled her eyes and gave him a disgusted look. "Hello beautiful what can I get you, perhaps  shake with two straws?"he asked smiling at her.  "First off, ew... and secondly I have a boyfriend that loves me more then anything in the world that only calls me that, and clearly I must love him more then anything in the world or else I wouldn't be wearing his necklace!"said Maura giving him a sickly sweet smile before looking at the menu. "I want the bacon cheeseburger meal with a chocolate milkshake."said Maura softly.  

Seeing Maura's two hearts merging into one necklace he smiled. "Wow... that must of cost a fortune, let me guess you boyfriend got it for you?" he asked as he said boyfriend as if she didn't have one and was making it up.  "Yes he did, he gave me it when he asked me out and money doesn't matter to me, he can be the poorest guy there is and I still love him!"said Maura softly.  "Maybe if you didn't act like such a player, you'll have someone!"said Maura softly as she opened her songbook as a picture of her and Ryo was on the inside cover.  "That him?"he asked softly as Maura nodded.  "Lucky guy to have someone as beautiful and sweet as you, and thanks for the talk I'll get your order in."he said as he walked off.

Shaking her head and smiling to herself Maura looked at the picture of her and Ryo and smiled at it for it was her favorite picture of them.

Maria groaned as the bags on her arms weighed her down. She didn't like shopping as much as most girls her age, she didn't mind buying things she just couldn't stand the people interaction that it involves. Maria had finally finished getting everything she needed for the new school year however and she was more than ready to start studying before the school year started.

Sighing, she dodged yet another person who was not bothering to move for her as usual. It was like she was invisible sometimes, no one pays attention. Maria rolled her eyes and happened to look into a small cafe to her right. Grinning as she saw Maura, she quickly walked over to Maura's table and sat down in the seat across from her. "Her Maura! Do you mind if I join you?" She asked politely while setting all her bags down next to her chair.

"Hey, so are you ready for school?" Maria asked noticing that Maura had quite a few shopping bags of her own.

Looking up from her songbook, Maura looked at Maria and smiled. "Of course Maria, take a seat!"said Maura softly. Closing her songbook Maura looked to see that she had some shopping bags as well. "New clothes for the upcoming year?"Maura asked her softly. "I just gotten done shopping, I got my school supplies yesterday with my guy friends."said Maura.

Maura nodded. "Yeah I am, but I'm going to miss Ryo and my best friend Hallie next year."said Maura honestly. "It won't be the same without them this year."said Maura sighing. "How was your summer Maria?"Maura asked her curiously. Her went wonderful, probably the best summer she had in a long time.
