Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Beastly Reports Empty Beastly Reports

Post by Rivah Trenton Thu Apr 18, 2013 9:29 pm

Rivah ran a hand through her hair before stepping out into the main part of her Department. It was fondly called The Cubicles by most of the department, simply because that's what most of the open space seemed to be made up of. But the Department Head was looking for one cubicle in particular. Spotting it, she began to make her way there, nodding to and greeting those under her as she went.

Reaching the corner cubicle, the woman pursed her lips and looked down at her employee. "Jake, I'm missing a report from you," she informed the man. Jake Collins was one of her best Beast Specialists, and had been a Hogwarts student as well. He was quite a few years younger than her, and Rivah took amusement in the fact that he would've entered the school the year after she'd left it. It wasn't like they would have shared a house, but it was a funny thought all the same.

"I'm serious Jake, I won't be giving you any more assignments until I get that report," Rivah said to the man, using her I'm-your-Boss tone that never meant good news.

Beastly Reports Empty Re: Beastly Reports

Jake scratched the side of his head with his index finger, looking around his cubicle in thought. "I know I put it around here somewhere..." He looked in the filing cabinet that was in the cubicle and sighed. Nope, it was gone. How does that happen? He had been eager to get that report to their new Department Head, and now it was gone. This wasn't good.

It didn't get any better when she came directly to him and said that h wouldn't get another assignment until she got his report. "Er... Yes, Ms. Trenton. I'll get it to you shortly." Was all he answered her, in a calm tone, though he was internally freaking out. Jake was never one to lose anything, he was actually a very organized person, though right now the cubicle would tell you otherwise.

There were papers everywhere,on the desk, on the floor, on top of the cabinet. All because he was looking for that damned paper. Then he remembered he left it on the far left side of his desk. He glanced in that direction and saw a large stack of papers on it... He sighed. After lifting the papers, he found his report under it and smiled. Jake picked the paper up and handed it to her, "Here you go. Sorry about that..." he said, smiling sheepishly.

Beastly Reports Empty Re: Beastly Reports

Rivah watched unimpressed as Jake turned his entire work area upside-down in an attempt to find the report she'd asked for. Well, at least he'd written it and not just forgotten about it, the woman figured. When he finally found the evasive report under a stack of papers, the older woman granted him a small smile. Taking the offered papers from her employee's hand, the witch skimmed them for a moment and nodded slightly to herself. "You really should ensure that you are more organized Jake," Rivah said, not scolding, but not kindly either.

"Now come," the witch spoke again, "there is something I want to speak to you about in my office." Taking a step backwards and noticing that the wizard hadn't moved, the woman rolled her eyes and added, "I'm not about to send you to the Centaur Office." It was a running joke in their department, that being sent to the Centaur Office was another way to say a employee was about to get sacked. Years ago, the Ministry had created a Centaur Liaison Office, and it hadn't been used by a centaur even once, hence where the lingo had come from.

Turning on her heel and walking briskly towards her office, expecting Jake to follow her, Rivah was mentally trying to figure out how to tell him about this assignment. Stopping in front of her secretary's desk, leaning forwards to whisper something quietly to the woman, Rivah received a nod and continued into her office.
