Eight PM - Page 3 Empty Re: Eight PM

Avis was grateful that he agreed to share her plate of food. She was not hungry and after the butterbeer, her stomach was basically exploding. She only allowed herself to take few small spoonfulls and even those were like torture. Andrei, however, seemed to really enjoy eating. Avis smile when she saw that it took him only few minutes to empty her plate. If he was really that hungry, she could order him something else.

She did not answer to his question, instead her eyes went to the waitress and she took out her pouch, but Dolohov was faster. "But where?" she asked, her eyes looking out of the window. It was really stormy outside, and definately cold. Back to school? She didn't mind the idea, but the date didn't last that long either. Avis didn't argue and she put on her coat, hat, scard and gloves. Avis was still confused about the sudden mood change.

Once outside, she had to admit that she regretted going outside. She'd rather spend the night in the Three Broomsticks rather than going back to school with this snow storm, cold and darkness. She shivered all over the body and started jumping on one place before they started moving. "A bit," she replied, rubbing her hands together to get her fingers some warmth.
Avis did not notice where they were going nor did she know what their destination was. She simply followed Andrei, keeping her eyes on his back all the time and almost bumped into him when he suddenly stopped.

Peeking out from behind his shoulder, she saw a brick house and well hidden from the outer world. When someone answered to Andrei's knocks, Avis hid herself behind his back again and listened. She did not know what he said, but it sounded french and it was probably some sort of password. This place scared her. It was so distant from the other buildings and it was so quiet there. Avis started jumping on one place again, trying to get some warmth when she suddenly stopped; they were allowed to get in.

Keeping close to Andrei, she followed him in where the warmth welcomed her. She looked around, examining the place. Her family was rich and her parents used to take her out to such places as this. Her mother bought expensive paintings just to show off and her father was a great fan of fast cars and other toys that costed as much as one simple house would.
She removed her coat and hid scarf with gloves and hat into the sleeves of it and took a seat near Andrei. "This place is scary."

OOC: Sorry for the delay!

"Scary? Why so?", he asked with a laugh. This place might not be the most tradition place to go out, but it was one of his favorites. Perhaps because of the many found childhood memories he had related to this place. But also mainly because this was his haven, somewhere he could do anything he wanted and get away with it. "Oh come now you need to relax", he said with a smirk and he leaned back into the large red chair.

The waiter almost unnoticeably came in and stood behind Andrei, waiting for their order. " Just give us some Quentin black scotch will you? I'm sure there's a few good batches still left", he said. Eyeing Avis, he examined her movement and her mood. She was tense and nervous and almost twitching at times. He couldn't help but smirk at what he saw. She wasn't comfortable for some reason and it made her more jumpy than anything. At that moment an idea popped into his head and he grinned at her mysteriously. Oh this will be very interesting.

Before the waiter could leave he called him back with his hand. "And would you bring a few épice for the Lady and me. If you have some in the storage", he asked. The waiter nodded his head and informed him that indeed they weren't lacking what he was asking for. A few moments later the waiter brought out a wrapped package and placed it on their table along with their drinks. Andrei took a sip of his drink and offered her one.

He eagerly opened the package and unwrapped everything. A light blue sandy texture was twisted tightly in papers in the shape of cigarettes. He grinned at Avis and picked up two in his hands. "There. Something perfect to calm those nerves of yours. I'll relax you wonderfully. Here take one", he said pushing one towards her. He took a lighter from his pocket and lighted his spice, taking a few deep inhalations of the blueish smoke.

OOC: that's okay, I have school too and its hard to concentrate on other things besides studying.

Avis shrugged. She didn't even know the reason of her own fear, all she knew was that this place made her tense and she wanted to go somewhere else. Somewhere safe and familiar. This place was odd and as she looked around, the shadows around her started to form different figures. This was all her imagination, though. She was nervous and unsure how to act. After all, by the look of everyone who visited this place, they were all pureblood, and she, once again, did not belong.

She jumped when the waiter suddenly appeared behind Andrei and she tensed even more. Though he only came there to collect their order, she still kept her sharp glance on him, waiting for any sudden movements. And Andrei, of course, ordered alcohol. Avis knew that scotch was something strong, yet she had never tried it. As he mentioned something with an odd name (it sounded French in her opinion), she looked at him with concerned look glued to her face. "Maybe I should leave?" she really wouldn't mind sleeping in the Three Broomsticks; she had enough money with her to pay for a room.

"What is... épice?" she asked as she leaned closer to Andrei. She did not want anyone else to listen to their talk. Odd, this place made her feel really paranoid. She did not have to wait long for the answer, though. The waiter returned with their order and placed the package on the table. She accepted the glass, though she did not drink it. Instead, she surveyed how Andrei unwrapped the pack and a cigarette as pushed into her hand. She examined it, eyes wide and curious. Like with alcohol, she had never been smoking. That would ruin her health.

But, on the second thought, her experiments with potions, poisons and all those chemicals already did their job with her. Though it only resulted her hair and eyelashes to be thicker, there were some changes in her body as well. "Ah, what the hell..." she thought and put the little stick in between her teeth. Avis took the lighter from Andrei and after successfully burning the tip, she inhaled the smoke deeply.

Andrei couldn't help but glance at her every few seconds or so to examine her state and every time he did, she was nervous or fidgeting with her hands. He couldn't understand what about this place was so distressing to her. He found it quite calming and safe. But then again he spent so much time here that it only made sense for him to feel comfortable and she on the other hand did not. "Leave? No, I don't think you should", he said shaking his head gently. "What would be the fun in that?", he pointed out.

He chuckled at her question, amused at the newly found innocence he discovered in her. Or was it just because she wasn't a Slytherin or a part of his tightly knit group of friends. Either way, it was refreshing. "It's just spice. We use the french term for it because - well no one wants to be heard shouting the name of an illegal drug out in public. Even in a place like this. But you'll find that people here are much more... tolerable and open minded I would say", he said as the corners of his lips stretched out in a slightest smile. "You do know what spice is, am I right?"

He grinned as she took a deep inhalation of the cigarette. Andrei was almost certainly she would need much more convincing than that, but then again obviously she was wrong. He took another smoke of his own and felt the wonderful and relaxing sensation rush through his body. Taking a sip of his drink, he glanced at her's and noticed it was untouched. "It's scotch Avis, not poison", he said with a chuckle. "And good scotch at that!", he added. "Do you ever drink? Or smoke? I'm just wondering", he said already predicting her answer.

Waiting for her answer, he took another inhalation of the wrapped blue paper he was holding in his hand. Andrei had learnt to be careful with spice after after a few bad hallucinations and trips. Sp he had given them both small quantities for starters. He watched as the light blue smoke surrounded her and he smiled, waiting patiently to see what he reaction would be. "So, do you like it?", he asked grinning. "Just take it slow. Don't want you freaking out", he added as a caution.

Avis leaned her head back. That smoke was weird and it made her feel dizzy and at the same time energetic. She looked at Andrei. It seemed that he did not mind or that the effect of the cigarette was different on him.
It seemed that her body had its own functions now. Her brain told her one thing, but it did not listen. I suppose that this is how girls feel when they're in love, she thought, though she assumed that this was much more different. She was different, and she wanted to stop her actions, but instead she lifted her hand and drew another deep breath of the smoke and looked at Andrei.

He encouraged her to drink the alcohol. Not even sure how this would end, she, not even thinking twice about it, drank almost half of the scotch, but immediately regretted it. Her mouth and throat were on fire and she wanted something to make this odd pain to stop. She looked around, puzzled again. Avis still wanted to leave, but her body did not listen and accept the comands.

"What is this?" she asked about everything. Avis dropped her cigarette on the table next to the glass that she had placed there. She tried to stand up, but her knees and legs were weak. "What is happening?" Was this natural? Was this what the young people liked? Being high on some sort of smoke and drinking disgusting alcohol?

"Hey, there's no need for that! Just sit down and calm yourself", said Andrei getting up from his seat and helping Avis get back sitting down comfortably. Everyone's reaction to Spice was very different so he didn't know what to expect, especially since it was her first time. People tend to get a stronger reaction if they have never tried it before. "It's Spice. I'm not sure how you will react to it, but mostly it should energize you and keep your mood up. From one at least", he explained. He didn't even want to start explaining what could happen if someone had too much of it. He knew how bad it could get from Alice's situation and he promised himself he would never let that happen again. That was the reason he gave Avis only a few inhalations of the Spice. That way he could control the situation.

"I think it's better you not walk for now, as there's a high probability of you falling", he said with a chuckle as he took another deep inhalation of his cigarette. The blue smoke spread into the room and Andrei could feel every muscle in his body relaxing. A small amount of Spice really calmed him down and brought a strange tranquility to his mind. But anything more than that would make him have strange hallucinations and paranoia, so he did his best to always stay on that small amount. "I'm afraid I'm corrupting you. That's the plan after all. Let me know if I'm doing a good job", he said with a smirk. To him it didn't make sense for a girl like Avis to avoid everything the rebellious youth adores. You're only young once after all, that was him motto.

Avis frowned and raised her hands in order to push Andrei away, but her movements were slow and not as strong as she wanted them to be. In fact, when she allowed them to fall, she realized that they were soft as pillows. What was this thing? Why did it have such effect on her? She had done many things with her potions and she as the one trying it all, but she had never been high because of the steam or anything. It just did not work on her this way.

She sat down and groaned quietly. Avis wanted to leave this place and get some fresh air, let it be cold or not. "I feel strange," she confessed. She had read from a magazine that there were people allercig to alcohol; there have been incidents where young people have died by drinking only one soft drink, and she did not want her life to end this way. She wanted it to be peaceful. Maybe resembling to Mina's death. Her pain was taken away by the medicine and she passed away in her sleep. Avis wanted to have the same faith if she was about to die only because of this Spice.

"You... What?" she gasped for air. Corrupting her? Why? She tried to stand up again, but her her head started spinning and she ended up falling on the back of her chair, closing her eyes during the collapse. "You're a monster," Avis said quietly, covering her face with shaking hands. "Why?"

"Good strange or bad strange?", he asked examining her movements more closely. Perhaps this was a bad idea, having Avis try both alcohol and Spice at the same time. Maybe she would react like this to even just one of them, who knew. But this was exactly why he gave her a small amount, so this wouldn't happen. Guess he had to learn that you can't really count on the reliability of something like Spice.

Andrei almost panicked at her words and sudden movement. Thankfully, walking wasn't something that Avis was about to do at the moment so she simply fell back down into her seat. He could only image the disaster this whole thing would turn into if she could walk and run normally. He already saw her running around Hogsmeade like a mad person, trying to keep away from him. "What are you talking about?? I was a joke!", he said quickly, trying to reassure her and realizing that she was taking everything very seriously now.

He stood up from his chair and went next to her. Leaning towards her, he took her hands into his and tried to calm her down. "It's me, Andrei. And you're fine. I'm not a monster, you know that. The spice is just making you paranoid a bit. Relax and it will calm you down. It's just a bad trip that's all, let it go", Andrei spoke in a soft tone of voice trying his best to get her to relax. He felt really guilty for having her try it in the first place as it was his fault. But he only thought that she would have fun with it. He held her hands tightly in his, hoping that his touch would soothe her down.

Eight PM - Page 3 Empty Re: Eight PM

Post by Avis Summers Tue Mar 19, 2013 7:51 pm

She really did not know about all this heavenly feeling of being high. Right now she was panicking and all she did was regretting her choice of coming out tonight and having a "date" with Andrei, then later following him here.
Right now she wanted to go home, take a nice long shower and sleep as long as possible so that this strange influence from this drug and smoke would disappear from her system.
Avis looked up at Andrei. His joke was sick. She was not laughing, she was feeling horrible. Her hands and legs were not under her control anymore, her body had its own working progress now.

Her breathing was heavy and deep and when he took her hands, she wanted to push him away, but once again, she found herself weak and powerless. Her eyes, though dizzy, found his face amongst the mist that was created by the hallusinative drug and she staggered, although Avis was sitting on the chair.

He was no monster, she agreed with that, but what he did was horrible and selfish. He should've spoken to her before offering her the Spice, he should've considered the fact that every person took things differently. Her hands relaxed and she closed her eyes. Even if she felt that she was slowly drifting away, her sences were high and she could hear and smell everything. The alcohol, strange smells that belonged probably to the visitors - aftershave or however they called this liquid, she heard them speak, though her mind was not in the state of understanding what they said.

Avis forced her eyes to open and she looked at Andrei. "I'm thirsty," she said quietly before she reached out her hand and took her glass. Scotch or whiskey, it did not matter right now, but she drank it like water, ignoring the fact that it burned not only her throat, but it also damaged her vocal cords.

After hearing 'I'm thirsty', Andrei quickly raised his hand to the waiter so he noticed them quickly. But before the waiter could even come and Andrei order some water for her, she had already chugged down the scotch in her glass. "Alright....", he said biting his lower lip. The waiter came and he ordered some waiter anyone, at least to play down the strong taste in her throat. He quickly took the rest of the bottle of Scotch and put it far away from Avis' reach. Obviously her judgment wasn't the best when influenced by Spice, or Scotch for that matter. "I don't think you should have any more of that. Here, drink this, it's water", he said pushing a glass of water towards her.

Looking around the room, he noticed that Avis' reaction had gained them quite a bit attention. Oh this wasn't good at all. He knew the club had a strong discretion policy when dealing with it's members, as long as no problems were caused. Right now, Andrei couldn't exactly guarantee that to anyone.

"Maybe we should go back", he said thinking out loud. He knew Avis couldn't walk that well but staying here and creating chaos wasn't exactly a good option either. Damn it if only he did this somewhere else, in Hogwarts at least. Then everything would be much simpler. But he had no idea that she would reach like this, most people don't at all. "Are you feeling alright? Or better at least?", he asked carefully, still feeling guilty as hell over the whole thing. He never should have given her that Spice in the first place.

"Do you want to try and stand?", he offered as a suggestion. He really didn't know what else to do. "I think I should take you to your room. You should just sleep it off. I'll carry you if needed", he said. Well that surely won't be the first time he had carried a girl across the school.
