Unlikely Love in Unlikely Places - love potion chaos Empty Unlikely Love in Unlikely Places - love potion chaos

Post by Henri Finch Sun Feb 03, 2013 12:07 am

Henri was among a large group of people headed on their way to Hogsmeade. Everyone was speaking and laughing, shouting to each other and making plans. Henri had made her way to the front a bit, so she could hear the conversation of a certain couple who was trying to outstrip the rest of the group.

One of her fellow Ravenclaws had brought some mugs of pumpkin juice from the kitchens before they had left and passed them around the common room. Henri had been cradling hers but had been much to distracted so far to actually take a drink from it. Now, however, as they approached the entrance to the Headmaster's Tower, she took a drink.

She felt a strange sensation inside and her inside's quivered with an unknown anticipation. Her heart began beating madly, butterflies filler her stomach, and she felt her eyes travel upwards.

She stopped. Immediately, a few people behind her collided, and she heard some ask her what the big deal was.

Her eyes were trained on the gargoyle that guarded the Headmaster's Tower. "That is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen."

Bertie had planned to visit Hogsmede this weekend but seeing as he didn't need anything he fancied a change. It'd be nice to be one of the few in the castle this weekend. He'd be able to wander about the castle and have his imagination take him to places he'd never been. In addition his favourite table in the library by the large window would most likely be vacant too. Bonus!

Bertie followed a group of Ravenclaw's on their journey to Hogsmede. He'd walk with them down the marble staircase and to the kitchens. Students didn't usually go to the kitchens but as this would be an education visit Bertie didn't see any reason he shouldn't. All he wanted to do was practice his divinations and read the house elves tea leaves.

Bertie paced along the corridor where the Headmasters office was, up ahead he saw Henri Finch staring at the Gargoyle, how peculiar it was that she wasn't accompanied by her usual gang of girls. Walking past her a group of rowdy seventh year boys sprinted like a stampede of elephants down the corridor, making poor Bertie dodge out their way. Unfortunately his dodging skills weren't that great and he found himself fall into the gargoyle that guards the Headmasters Study before collapsing to the gargoyles feet.

'Ouch!' He gasped, rubbing the back of his head where it was collided with the stone. Oh Gosh. Bertie thought staring up at Henri Finch. Maybe she wont notice me if I crawl away slowly. The Ravenclaw thought. It wasn't that he disliked the girl but Vivianna had warned him in potions to keep his distance from her.

Henri might have been a sociopath, but that meant she knew when something was wrong with her. She never had emotions this strongly within her. This was wrong. This was very, very wrong. But the statue... It was absolutely... breath-taking.

She noticed someone had fallen, but it was only now that she turned her eyes on the person in question. She recognized him - V's little friend from Potions class, the timid looking one. She had t admit, he was a cutie. But right now, her mind was wholly enraptured by the statue.

And she KNEW there was something wrong.

She reached a hand out, groping for the boy, whose name she had long forgotten. She grabbed for his collar. "I need your help. Something's wrong. I need... something."

Bertie watched is she was mesmerized by the statue. Before he knew it she had grasped him by the collar and yanked him up, still staring at the statue. "I need your help. Something's wrong. I need... something." Bertie gazed from her vacant expression to the statue behind him, then back to Henri. Something was wrong?

Bertie's imagination went into overdrive, if Henri was standing outside of the Headmasters study acting peculiar and saying something was wrong then maybe, maybe the Headmaster was in trouble? Did she know something bad was going to happen? Or was the Headmaster involved in some sort of dark magic?

Bertie wasn't one to touch but he placed his hands on either side of her arms, staring at her seriously in the eye. 'What's going on? Is the Headmaster in trouble?' He didn't have any reason to believe that the Headmaster was in trouble but his imagination just went to places.

Perhaps Vivianna would be able to help? If it was anything serious then maybe he would find her - that was if she hadn't gone into Hogsmede that day!

Part of her still understood that she needed to uphold an image. But another part of her never wanted to leave the statue's side. Henri was a strong girl, though, and she knew how to get her way. She felt such ties to this statue, but she knew it was an incredibly dangerous feeling. She needed help.

And the only person nearby potentially capable of helping her was a little third year who looked absolutely terrified by her.

She shook her head madly, closing her lips tightly. If she opened her mouth, she was sure the professions of love would begin - and for an inanimate object!

Finally, she opened her mouth. "I need... I need..." She took a breath. "I need to go to the hospital wing." She raised her wand to her temple. "Stupefy!

The spell hit her and she fell over, unconscious.

Bertie awaited her response. It didn't come she appeared to be too transfixed. Then his eyes cast up her wand that she was withdrawing from her robes. Surely she wasn't going to jinx him? His heart started to beat with nerves, he wasn't the best duelist in fact he had never been in a duel, yet he found himself naturally taking out his own wand.

Stupefy He heard her say an with a flash she was sprawled on the floor unconscious. This didn't look good for Bertie if anybody walked past and saw him, wand in hand, stood over Henri Finch's body, the most popular girl in school, he'd be in trouble.

He stare from one end of the corridor to the next. Nobody. If only he could conjure a stretcher, he wasn't strong enough to drag her.

Bertie turned to the stone gargoyle, looking at it with curiosity. Had it bewitched her? Surely not, the guardian of the headmasters office wouldn't do anything of the sort.

The Ravenclaw pelted to the end of the corridor reaching the marble staircase. He'd have to drag her down, unless someone stronger could help him carry her.

'HELP!! PLEASE HELP!' He cried down the staircase. Some students glanced up and carried in their continue down the castle to Hogsmede.

It was better than Eragon. It was better than watching an Oscar-winning movie. It was Henrietta Finch making an absolute fool of herself.

Rika wondered if it would be overly weird if she suddenly leaped out from her hiding place behind an alcove in the corridor, and started tap-dancing.

Jive. Brenda advised in all seriousness. It is a brilliant way of expressing joy.

But she needed a partner for that.....aha! Bertie, who she had met in the greenhouse the day before turned around the corner, then ran full along the corridor, forehead slamming against the stone-gargoyle/the object of Finch's affections. Rika winced arbritarily. He got up, exchanged a few words with Finch, and the end of which Finch stunned herself. Damn. It had been such a good show too.

Of course the normal course of action would have been to turn and walk the opposite way, until Bertie started yelling. Rika hesitated for a few seconds, then stepped out of her hiding place. An aggravated sigh, and a somewhat-reluctant flick of the wand, "Rennervate." There was no way she was going to escort Finch to the Hospital Wing. She would have to do it herself. The spell/potion's effects should have been worn out by the knock.....hopefully. If it didn't....

Henri stirred, her eyes blurred. She let out a small moan and propped herself up on an elbow, clutching her head. Her stomach churned and she lolled her head, catching sight of the statue that had early caused such a ruckus within her. A faint tremor of the heart and she was normal. She let out a sigh of relief. The shock of the stunning spell, the fall, and then the healing spell that returned her to normal must have gotten her innards working double time, pushing the potion out of her major travel ways.

"Shit man," she mumbled. She was glad she was seemingly healed, however. It would be hard to spin the gossip that she had the hots for a statue in her favor. She was very glad it was gone, but how had it come to be so? She hadn't even made it to the Hospital Wing.

She turned around, looking about her. And that's... when she saw it. IT. Erika Dixon.

"Oh, f*ck me! What the hell are you doing here?!"

Bertie gazed down the corridor, it appeared Erika Dixon has emerged from an alcove and was stooping over the unconcious body of Henrietta Finch. Erika was a great girl, she was everything he seeked a friend: creative, imaginative and witty. However there was also the fact that she hated Henri and Bertie didn't know whether she was about to jinx or get some revenge from what happened in the potions lesson.

'Erika!' Bertie shouted, waving an arm as he paced back to the scene... The scene where Henri was now stirring. Somehow Erika had revived their fellow Ravenclaw. 'How did you do that?' Bertie gasped in awe, his eyes wide at the prospect of learning something new.

However his words were soon drowned by the sound of Henri swearing at Erika... That was odd, Erika had just helped her. Not only had she revived her from being stunned Henri no longer was acting peculiar and staring at the statue. What on earth has just happened? Bertie thought to himself, stepping cautiously away from Henri and closer to Erika.

((The 'IT' sent me into a fit of giggles XD ))

Rika watched as Finch slowly gained consciousness. She blinked at the statue rapidly, turned up to look at Rika and pretty much jumped out of her skin. Rika tried to restrain a smirk. She failed.

"Sorry, not interested." The quip slipped past her lips easily, and Rika literally glowed. Now that was something that didn't happen often. She wasn't the smoothest of people. She tapped the fingers of her right hand against her hip, in a mock-imitation of Finch. "What am I doing here.....now let me see." She transferred the tapping fingers to her chin. "I was walking by here...lalala.....when my eyes fell upon one Henrietta Finch. She was gazing at a stone gargoyle....seemingly besotted with it. Oh, you do know what besotted means, don't you? Enraptured, enchanted....in love." Rika's smirk broadened. "So I being the kind girl that I am, helped to get her back to her right senses. After which I shall go down to the Great Hall, and announce it to the world. And look," She patted the head of Bertie, who was edging close to her. "I even have a witness. And who dare disbelieve a cute third year Raven? Unless of course...." A strategically-timed pause. "Unless said Finch decides to comply with my wishes."

Rika finished her threat..-wow, threat- with elan, and waited for the familiar voice of Brenda to strike in. Nothing. Rika frowned. Something was niggling at the back of her head about this growing silence....but oh well. It wasn't important now.
