What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Remember Who You Are - Page 2 Empty Re: Remember Who You Are

Susan smiled as the meeting flew back to her like it was yesterday. She could see everyone sitting there listening to Harry, Ron and Hermione. She wondered how she could show this to Alice. Then it came to her. A process she had learned a few years ago she could with her astral projection. She hadn’t done it before, the worst it could do was it would make her pass out afterwards. It would be worth it.

“Yes it is. Well, I are about to find out what I am doing if you take my hand,” she said offering up her hand. She wanted nothing more than for Alice to understand. There was only one way for her to understand to show her the memory using astral projection. It was quite an experimental process. It pretty much places you into the memory but appear as someone in the memory. Susan knew she would appear as herself but whom would Alice appear as. It would be a fun thing to try so she could do this with Hannah, Neville, Amelia and Drew in the future if it works. If it works it would be a good thing to teach Amelia.

"Umm...Alright" said Alice rather curiously as she looked at Susan with a bit of suspicion. She couldn't help it because all of this did sound a bit too weird. Her calling her to the Hog's Head for a meeting and then now yelling or lecturing her at all? Even telling her everything she ever wanted to know about her past. It was just too many surprisingly good things when she expected them to be very bad. But she trusted her in the end, after all it was Susan. And perhaps she was truly trying to show her something with a different approach. Either way, it was wonderful not to be yelled at once at least. Quite a change after everything, and she welcomed it gratefully.

"Show me then" Alice said with a trusting smile and she took her hand. Closing her eyes she grabbed her hand even more tightly. She felt a strange tingling feeling in her body slowly started to appear and it made her body jump slightly up and down. She felt her hands moving about and her whole body numb. Soon she didn't feel any pat of her body and the surroundings started to blur.

Susan found the whole transferring part she found quite exciting though she was sure it surprised. She had forgotten to tell Alice to just go with it; she hoped Alice got the feel of things quickly. She was quite happy to find herself fifteen years old again. She was in her Hufflepuff uniform but had on her winter cloak, Hufflepuff gloves and scuff and yellow earmuffs. Her hair was in a long plait down her back. She laughed as she heard Ernie make a joke. It was hard not to run up to Ginny and hug her saying how nice it would be to see her, which would really mess things up.

“Nice to see you joined us Susan, Ernie,” greeted Leanne patting the seat next to her. She missed Leanne greatly. She felt horrible when she had been told Leanne had been killed in the Battle of Hogwarts. So she cheerfully sat down next to Leanne.

Remember Who You Are - Page 2 Empty Re: Remember Who You Are

As soon as she landed her feet firmly on the ground, Alice was shocked by what she saw. They seemed to have traveled back in time or perhaps in a memory. It seemed some sort of meeting and people were just arriving. Seeing a young Ginny and Susan surprised her quite a bit. Sure she saw pictures but actually seeing them be teenagers was quite different. She looked at her hands and instantly realized they were not hers. She was someone else in this memory but herself. That did make sort of sense as she wasn't born at this time. Taking a glance of her reflection in the nearby mirror as saw an image of her mother, just a very young version of her.

It took a few moments for her to compose herself as did was quite strange to her. She looked at Susan who seemed calm about this whole thing and she tried to follow her lead. "Hi" she said softly to the people who were already in the room. With another glance at her reflection, she couldn't help but see how many similar features she possessed with her mother, which was even more visible now that they were the same age.

“Where were you early today Susan? We missed you in the common room,” asked Leanne who was watching Hannah, or whom Susan was sure was Alice. “I got tied up in the library. I’ve been working on my Transfiguration OWL,” replied Susan. Thank Merlin she hadn’t lost her memory let.

“Hey, Su, you’re growing a wing,” whispered Ernie into her ear. This type of closeness with Ernie shocked her a bit. That made her a bit sad but she did a good job at hiding it. “Oh really, stupid Animagus, it does such strange things,” sighed Susan after trying for a while was able to get her new wing to go away.

“Hey Bones girl what’s up!” called male voice. “Bugger off Seamus!” snapped Ernie. Susan flinched a bit since her ear was next to Ernie’s mouth. She had totally forgotten about that happening. Oh the joys of being a teenager.

Remember Who You Are - Page 2 Empty Re: Remember Who You Are

She watched with great interest as the room started to fill with people. Some of them she knew in person from her father, and others she has only heard about in stories or in pictures. It took her a while to take in everything that was happening around her. Seeing these people as normal and playful teenagers was definitely not a sight she was used to. This memory was getting even more amusing than before.

A boy grabbed her attention as he came through the doors and started greeting the people in the room. It took her a few moments to realize who this familiar person was. And then she saw it clear as day, a thirty year younger version of her father. She was shocked to say the least and the looked... well handsome in a way. He threw her a smile and she shyly nodded her head. How was she going to play the role of her own mother with her father and all of his friends around.

"What are we doing here?" asked Alice in a low tone of voice as she moved a bit closer to Susan. People were coming into the room but she still didn't quite understand what was happening.

Susan lit out a slight sigh at Hannah’s/Alice’s comment. She nearly burst out laughing imaging what Alice was thinking. It must very awkward being your parent, she thought to herself. She would have died at a chance to do this to go back and relive one of her parent’s memories. She saw it as another adventure. Even at her age in the present she still loved adventure.

“It’s the first Order meeting,” she said brightly. “It’s 1995,” she whispered to Alice. She swatted at Ernie having enough of having him touch her. It always had bugged her how affectionate he was in public. She wasn’t one for even holding hands public, it’s so improper in her eyes.

Remember Who You Are - Page 2 Empty Re: Remember Who You Are

Post by Alice Longbottom Wed Dec 12, 2012 2:01 am

"Oh. Right." said Alice nodding her head, still equally lost. Although now at least she knew how to act, or the basics at least. Hopefully, her mother wasn't that different as a teenager than she is know. With a little luck, people won't even notice something was wrong. If Alice could calm down and stop panicking in the first place that is.

She watched in silence as familiar faces came in. Most notably Hermione, who looked a lot different than she did when she was older. The room was almost full now which meant the meeting was about to start. It was actually quite exciting to witness this first hand in this way.

A strange girl shook her hand and threw her a grin. "Hey Hannah! What about Charms? I thought you said you couldn't make it" said the girl teasingly. Not only did it take Alice a while to realize she was spoken to, but it also confused her that she had no idea who this girl was. "Um, yeah, I realized I could find some time for this after all" she said trying to be casual. "So what happens if these people here realize something is well wrong?" she asked Susan in a low voice.

Remember Who You Are - Page 2 Empty Re: Remember Who You Are

“I’ll hex them, they won’t remember a thing but honestly I don’t know but I don’t think it can harm the future since we aren’t time traveling. Pardon my little miscue I meant Dumbledore’s Army, I get confused at times,” whispered Susan glaring at Lavender Brown who had shot Susan a random nasty look. Gossiping girls like Lavender drove Susan up the wall but she kept her mouth shut for now but would gladly hex Lavender.

Susan let herself relax a bit but then remembered she was supposed to be excited. How do you be excited by the past? It was also killing her being next to Leanne. Every time she blinked she saw Leanne dying over and over.

Remember Who You Are - Page 2 Empty Re: Remember Who You Are

Post by Alice Longbottom Sun Dec 16, 2012 2:59 pm

"Oh alright. Hopefully...things don't get to that" she said a bit nervously. Everyone had heard terrible stories about what happened to people who had messed with the past and tried to change the future. She definitely didn't want to end up like that. But this shouldn't be that hard, all she had to do imitate her mother. Or at least a teenage version of her. Which she didn't really know how would that look like. Her parents had always been just exactly that, her parents. It was difficult to see them as young and playful teens in their Hogwarts years.

A young version of Neville smiled to her again and came to sit down next to her. "Hi" he said simply in a sweet and shy manner. Alice bit her lip and shot Susan a worried glance. If anything could go wrong, this could be it. If she kept the conversation simple however, things should be just fine. "Um...hi Neville" she said with a nod, restraining herself from calling him dad. Thankfully, the meeting was starting and she could see a young Harry gathered around a group of people trying to talk.
