Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Potions Schmotions...Time for some Chaos Empty Potions Schmotions...Time for some Chaos

Post by Peeves the Poltergeist Thu Nov 29, 2012 3:10 am

Peeves hummed happily to himself as he floated along the student cupboards, where common ingredients for potions were kept. Peeves desperately wanted to access the Professor's private stores, however the old sod had went and put up a banishment charm to keep him out. Well, that was alright. He could cause enough damage with the student stores. The private stores of the potions professor would have to be a goal for working towards.

Peeves had noticed the other day that many of the plant-derived potion ingredients looked an awfully lot alike. Heck, even some of the non-plant ingredients were cut into such pieces that they looked quite indiscriminate when compared to some of the plant type. This observation had festered in Peeves for quite some time before he finally decided that he simply must act upon it.

Peeves had glided into the classroom, keeping a wary eye out for the instructor, who would surely manage to put a stop to it. Mr. D'eath sure was not a pushover, but Peeves wasn't intimidated by anyone. As soon as he made sure the coast was clear, Peeves went to work.

He first peeled off the label which spelled out 'aconite', then peeled off 'armadillo bile.' He switched the labels, then proceeded a bit more quickly with his plan. 'Bat spleen' was switched with 'chicken lips' and 'castor oil' with 'bubotuber pus'. The little man giggled maniacally as he continued his sabotage of the potions ingredients. The next potions class would be an interesting one....

Potions Schmotions...Time for some Chaos Empty Re: Potions Schmotions...Time for some Chaos

Post by Derry Flanagan Sat Dec 01, 2012 3:21 am

Derry had followed Peeves as stealthily as he could, watching the ghost sneaked into the Potions' classroom. That ghost cracked him up sometimes and he just had to find out what mischief Peeves was up to this time. He snuck as quietly as possible near the door to spy and had to hold in his laughter as he watched the ghost switch the labels on the potion ingredients.

Hoping to startle him, he shouted, "Hey Peeves!! What you up to, mate?" Derry shouted, appearing into view. Then, whispering low, he added with a mischievous grin, "Need any help?" He didn't take potions class anymore, so unfortunately, he wouldn't be able to appreciate Peeves' prank to the fullest. Hopefully Derry would hear some brilliant stories about it though.
