What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Chapter One Empty Chapter One

Post by Scott Bagman Fri Sep 14, 2012 2:03 am

Scott was tired, recovering from an illness takes a lot out of a person. Still in recovery mode he decided to stay away from the Quidditch Pitch for the day. Instead he found himself entering the library. Scott was always one for a good book but he was always so busy with Quidditch that he rarely got a chance to read. His father had always put far too much pressure on his Quidditch and not enough on his academics. It had always been his mother and his own will that inspired him to look into his schooling. Not that he was going to read some book about Herbology for the fun of it. He wanted to find a good adventure book to read. He was sure they had to have some sort of muggle section.

Scott was wearing a grey sweater and a pair of dark jeans, ending with a black pair of sneakers. He sat down in one of the large comfortable chairs that had recently been placed in a small section for people to sit and read. Hogwarts had definitely become a more comfortable place over the years. He yawned and stretched, as much as he wanted to read he needed a nap. He slowly closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Chad walked into the library, it was one of the most unpleasant sections of hogwarts, that with the exception of the 'muggle Studies' classroom. But he needed to revise for OWL's so he went inside and shivered. This was a creepy place, it was too silent for his liking, but he'd have to respect it he guessed, as he didn't want to get kicked out and not have revised anything.

He went to the front desk, and showed a note to a staff member, "Moste Potente Potions?" she said. He nodded and she looked at him suspiciously, she scoffed and pointed towards the restricted section. "Thank you" he said, in an almost just-let-me-in-you-daft-dimbo tone, he walked to the restricted section and picked up the book for his Potions OWL.

He went to sit in the most comfortable looking chair but saw a boy form his year in it, Chad sighed, he hated to do this, actually he loved it, "Levicorpus" he whispered at the boy with his wand pointed out.

Under normal circumstances Octavia made a point of avoiding the library at all costs. It was eerily quiet, there was learning going on, and there were lots of pointy objects that she was prone to knocking over. But unfortunately she had no choice. A book had been assigned in class and she needed to check it out. Normally any school work would be completely ignored in exchange for fun things like fireworks and Slythie-stalking but this was Care of Magical Creatures. The only class that Octavia even pretended to begin to care about.

Honestly, she was interested in what the book would offer her. It was promised to contain detailed information on the eating and breeding habits of Runespoors, a species that Octavia had a disturbing lack of information on. And if she hoped to ever become the worlds most famous zoologist then she needed to learn absolutely everything about absolutely everything. Easy, right? Course. So Octavia was in the library, eyes scanning across the spines of the books to look for the author she required. Finding it, she let off a whoop of joy, which got several shushes sent her way from surrounding students. Oversensitive cupcakes.

Octavia was on her way out of the room when her mischief radar sensed something interesting happening over near the restricted section. Upon seeing the wand pointed at her housemate Octavia proceeded to go on high alert. With a little too much enjoyment she ran at the attacking Slythirin and proceeded to joyfully slam him on the head with whatever she happened to have in her hand. shushes her way. At this moment it happened to be her newly checked out COMC book. She let out a battle cry of "DIE SLYTHIRIN!" which got more The book growled, unpleased with being used to smash things.

Unfortunately, the spell had already hit Scott.

There Scott was. Minding his own business. Taking a very short nap after a long day of doing nothing. When suddenly there was so much action going on around him he couldn't think. And it didn't help that he suddenly found himself being lifted into the air upside down. "WHOA!" he yelled out suddenly as he opened his eyes to see the ground. "Holy hell..." he said much too loudly. Scott was used to being upside down in the air. He had practiced upside down flying with his father extensively. Much to his displeasure. But as it turned out it seemed quite useful. He began to calm down and his body loosened up a bit. He caught sight of the antagonist under assault from a book. He couldn't help but grin as his fellow Gryffindor was so quick to rush to his aid.

But at this thought he let his arms fall down which aloud his bag to slide off his shoulders. The grin suddenly disappeared with a look of shock. His bag hid the ground with a thud as papers flew everywhere. He slapped his palm against his forehead and groaned. As if this wasn't bad enough. Luckily however there weren't many people in the library. Unfortunately he was still in the air. So he waited. He waited until his attacker was finished with the book and would let him down.

"Hey" he said, as the girl came in, she was coming his way, so he thought this would be a good time to say hi, wrong. The Gryffindor girl came running at him with a book and smashed him viciously over the head, "Ok,ok" he said, trying to push her away.

He stood up, and cleared his throat, "Liberacorpus" the counter curse, to make the boy come down. "What was that for?" he asked the girl, "he was clearly in my seat, and who sleeps in the library, honestly" he said this in a teasing tone, and smiled at the two and winked, "You two going out?" he asked this now in a normal tone, it could be possible, but he highly doubted it, he was way out of her league.
