Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Everyone had pretty much left by now, it seemed. Jack had fallen behind since Wheezes had been needing her more and more in these summer months. She was planning on heading down to inform the security wizard that she would be staying here overnight. She planned to give herself four hours of sleep, and maybe two or three of leisure. The rest would be devoted to diligent filing- her favorite. Not. What was worse was that the next day she would be playing Wizengamot Warlock. Khaat had needed a special favor and Jack owed her one. These next few days would be hell.

She hurried across the Atrium, watching as the last few people headed for the fireplace. The security wizards were switching shifts and Jack approached the night wizard, a man she always addressed as Griz. "Hey, Griz, I'm sort of drowning upstairs. I'm going to stay all night. All right?" He nodded, taking a note of it and said, "I'll be sure to send up some floaties for you." She smirked and turned.

When she did though, she noticed a familiar figure that was near the fountain. She cocked her head and squinted her eyes, making sure it truly was the elusive being she thought it too be. When had been the last time she had seen him? Her eighteenth birthday, hadn't it been? And oh, had she been a mess. Jack glanced around to see that she had no distractions immediately and hurried up to him.

Taking her place next to Thaor at the fountain, Jack took in a deep breath and then exhaled to announce her presence. "Dramatic exits are always hard to follow up with dramatic entrances." She remembered his brief 'exit' from her life and the quiet way he had re-entered. Here was another quiet entrance.

Thaor was on his way out of the ministry when he stopped by the fountain to glance at a oversized poster with a photo of Robert Lupin and Thaor shaking hands. He remembered the day that was taken like it was yesterday. It was the day Thaor gained the position of Deputy Minister. But all of that was about to change.

Thaor just about walked away when he heard a familiar voice. Jack. Thaor said as he turned and half smiled at her. He tried to hide the fact that there was something major on his mind, usually this wouldn't be hard for him, but this was something [/i]major[/i]

Liking your new job? he asked with a smile.

He turned and Jack turned to grin up at him, but when she looked at him, she noticed a different shift in his expression from when she usually saw him. She knew that they had had a lot of time apart and, surely, he could have gone through more than what he usually did to make him look so pained. Jack might not have noticed, but Thaor was one of the few people she was connected too. The Empathy she had no idea that worked through her had bonded to him and she could feel the pangs that were surely running through him, though she had no idea why she shared it.

Almost as though from a fog, she heard him ask how she was liking the 'new' job. He must not have realized she had been in the station for several months now, implying more and more that he had had pressing matters on his mind all this time to distract from the norm. She blurted, "What's wrong?" unable to proceed without having satisfied her worries.
