Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Zoe couldn't help but smile at Jack as she mentioned her love for beasts over her love for people. "I do understand Ms. Dyllan." She said carefully, watching her for her reactions. "I can easily give you a group of people who would be willing to work on your team.. from different areas of the department, to people with similar interests as yourself, you need merely to mention names, or write them down, or speak to me about putting together a team. I can find them, or I can approve them... anyone who works for you will get a pay raise to what you are at right now of course, and will work for me personally, I will have rights to question them.. not that I feel you are distrustful Ms. Dyllan, I simply fear for the safety of my employees, and I must know what they are doing at all times.. one person is fine, easily fixable, or explained away if your get hurt, or something... but a group of people is tough." Zoe looked at Jack carefully, hoping she understood her point.

"What I'm saying, is that, while I appreciate your work, if something were to happen to you.. it's just an accident, something went wrong, and things happen, we've already had a few people end up in St. Mungos... and there are a few people there for extended periods, from poisonous bites to issues beyond my reach." Zoe said frowning. "But if you were to end up there, it'd just be another accident, but if you have a team.. well you can understand that I would need them to be careful.. even if this team is simply there to do your paperwork.. you will have complete control over them, but I will also, the same control I have over you." She smiled at Jack, and then looked down at her papers again. "All you need is ask, and I will put anyone you want on your team, or go looking for people to put on your team... no need to fear asking, think about it if you must and get back to me, I do want you to be efficient."

Jack let Zoe talk it out. Jack had understood within the first few sentences, but obviously the bosslady wanted to make absolutely no mistake that Jack understood her point. She must have been really paranoid about making any mistakes. Jack had heard the Ministry was under the greatest scrutiny in the past century or so, so maybe that was all that it really had to do with. Making sure that the department seemed in tip-top condition for the new extremist regime.

Jack nodded at Zoe and said, "Yes of course I understand. A group of people is a liability. I don't like putting people in danger, only myself. I wouldn't risk a team of people's lives just so we can get some new research on a chimera. Don't worry about that." She thought for a moment. "I've actually been trying to assemble the perfect team of interns, that's why I've been so hard, and then those who worked well I would suggest to join my team. But any suggestions... I would look into it."

"Here are my thoughts Ms. Dyllan... I suggest you start looking at hired employees, people from the different specialties. A spirit specialist, Beast, Being, Even a healer or two would be good for a group like yours.." Zoe replied, her eyes falling down to the paper she had just set on the desk. "Interns are all fine and dandy, except that they are here to learn, not to join a group as prized as the one I want you to put together." Zoe said, and for the first time made it quite clear that she was fully intending for Jack to put a group together. "You're intern, this male... he seems to be doing fine, and if you suggest it, I will boost him up to the rank you see fitting and give him a pay raise... if you believe he needs more work, simply write a note when you think he is ready, and give it to my secretary.. if not me personally." She said flashing her teeth at Jack.

"Now.. if you'll excuse me please, I have a lot of work to do.. and I'm sure you do as well.. I'm grateful to hear that you are doing well though, and hope to see your next report on my desk soon." She said smiling at Jack and pulling out a couple of folders from her desk drawer, opening one up to see an employee page on a girl with extremely red hair, and several scars on her face, under the picture was the words "Hospitalized" And then information about the girl. Zoe glanced down at it, before flipping the page over and moving farther into the folder, pulling out bits of paperwork, and other material she had worked on before she had gone to St. Mungos. "Sadly, not all cases of people that go to St. Mungos have anything to do with this department... one of my best healers was taken away due to mental breakdown... hopefully she will be returning.. she files her paperwork, and is an excellent healer.. when she gets back.. I'd like you to interview her for your team.." She said lazily, before she started to fill out some of the paperwork that was hidden away in the file.

Jack had become aware that Zoe had little to no intention in assisting in assembling this dream team that she wanted Jack to head. The thought of having to put together such a team was a little overwhelming to Jack for a few reasons. A.) She hated people. B.) She did not know how to talk to people. C.) People were a waste of her time. D.) People simultaneously grossed her out and terrified her. D.) There were people that worked in this deparment that she was not sure how to deal with anymore.

And people smelled funny too.

But she would deal with all of that later. She would man up, by some fragrance sprays, and work her way through her discomfort. Zoe brought up Teddy and Jack responded, "I don't want to make it easy for him. I want to see him struggle some more. He can be amazing if he doesn't have everything handed to him. I'll send the note soon enough."

Zoe began to wrap up the meeting so Jack stood, her knees creaking like someone much older than herself rather than a recent graduate. Oh lovely. She caught a glimpse of who Zoe was talking about and felt that uncomfortable feeling of guilt in the pit of her stomach and nodded. "Don't you worry about that. She's on the team. I know she'll fit well."
