Sneaking into the battle Empty Sneaking into the battle

Zara looked up at the school. Most of the children had run up into the building, even though the first floor was mostly on fire, it appeared the Death Eaters were starting to take a bit more control.. the fire sure didn't help though... but Zara wasn't really caring. She had the ability to get into the school, and she was going to head up into the school. She basically skipped what fighting was left on the grounds, her black cloak billowing behind her. She had decided to skip the biggest part of the battle, getting into the school was relatively easy, and just slipping around the fighting was almost as easy as that.. if anyone had looked over, she was battling like everyone else, but she edged to the stairs, and quickly ascended them. It was quiet through the rest of the school, and she decided to go check for hiding students.

Opening doors, she slowly ascended the school stairs. Grinning slightly she pushed back her hood, and kept going up the stairs. She was pretty near the Ravenclaw towers, when she heard something coming from a classroom. Stopping in her track, she frowned and listened. There was something up here. Someone up here, Zara strained her ears, and listened hard for what she had heard.. was that.. turning paper? Was there someone up here seriously READING? While there was a battle going on downstairs.. someone was just up here, calmly reading a book in a classroom. Idiot, they would be her first kill. She smirked and pushed open the door to a classroom.

Sneaking into the battle Empty Re: Sneaking into the battle

Dexter was upset. He did not know what was going on, and frankly, he did not care one darned bit. What mattered to him was that he was on the verge of some really important discovery, having to do with wandlore and training a wand to gradually learn what spells the caster was trying to conjure by learning the pressure and temperature of its hand. It would be sketchy, obviously, but it was an intriguing concept.

He had picked up all the books he would need for his research earlier that day and had started off in the library. When that had closed, he moved to the Ravenclaw common room. But that got crowded so he had moved to an abandoned classroom. He had been fine for awhile, but people started to run through the halls, shouting and be typical obnoxious teens. So he had cast a silencing charm that would silence the outside noises, refusing to let any noises penetrate his room.

And now, he was frustrated.

He had hit a bump and his brain was jumbling. So, he began t rearrange, reorganize. He used his wand to send a stack of books over onto another table, flicked it and sent a few books opening, as he frantically turned the pages of the large tome he was spilling over. He did not even hear the door open over all the ruckus he had sent his books into.

Zara stood in the doorway to the room, looking in at the ruckus that was going on in there. A boy was flipping through books frantically, Books were stacking on the table across the room on their own accord, and he appeared to be deep in thought. "You know... most of the time, when there is a battle going on.. people are either running, or fighting.. I've never seen someone so blatantly ignoring the commotion." She said in a lazy voice, going over to a book that had flopped on the table, opening it and reading a few lines, while also flicking her wand at the door and locking it. He may have his own wand.. but if he went for it, she'd be able to tie him up before he even got to the door he had unlocked.

Zara frowned. "Wandlore? Really? You hide away in a room, by yourself.. to practice wandlore.. how.. interesting.." She muttered and then looked up and smirked. "Oh... but I guess it makes sense.. I mean... you definitely are a Ravenclaw by the looks of you.. glasses... doing research late into the night.." She laughed and pointed her wand lazily at him. "Now... by the looks of you.. you're pretty smart.. and lets just say the Death Eaters.. well.. they aren't to smart.. and I would love to get my hands on a piece of your knowledge.." She said and her eyes darted downwards, before looking back up at him, taking in his figure. "It's to bad you appear to be a bit goody two shoes.. maybe even.. bullied." She said, taking in the glasses and brown curly hair. "But.. I won't hurt you... if you help me out here.. you see, I have some higher ups that aren't to happy with me.. I bring you to them... and you cooperate with them, and do whatever they want.. you could have all the research materials you need... and they would get off my ass." She said lightly, her wand still pointing lazily at him, while she moved over to the door and leaned against it lightly, striking a pose against it. She was hot, and she knew it.

Her cloak had parted to reveal a slender body, encased in black leather. Tight black leather pants, a much to short, black leather halter top, and knee high boots. The leather had a look of Dragon too it, and gave her a very fiery appearance, putting her curves to their fullest potential now that the cloak was pushed back, and he could see. She kicked up a foot, and rested it on the door behind her. "What do you say? You help me.. I help you." She said gently, her eyes taking in his figure again, making it extremely noticeable that she was looking him over, appraising his own body, and comparing it in her mind to others she had seen.

Sneaking into the battle Empty Re: Sneaking into the battle

Dexter nearly jumped on the table when he heard a voice behind him. He had stuck his wand in his curls- never time to think of style- and it fell out and clattered onto the table and he scrambled to grab it, snatching up the slender stick and whirling around and slamming his back into the table as he turned around to face the intruder, who turned out to be the Divination professor.

So far, he had meant to protect himself and all he had succeeded in was having a spazz attack. He reached up to adjust his glasses, and coughed. "Is- Is there a, a battle going on? I've been in here for the evening, there were spells up, I was unaware..." He stared at her. Even Dexter, who could not pick up a social cue to save his life, knew something was off.

As she began to speak he felt a weariness settle into his frame. Another Death Eater, another attempt to recruit him. As she struck a pose though, revealing long, slender legs he could not help but think Hm, and yet one that hasn't worked this well in a long time. Swallowing- his mouth had long since gone dry- he finally spoke up. "I just want to retain my neutrality and continue my research." He turned away.

Zara smirked heavily as he looked her over. His eyes darting to her legs, and up her body, before he startled her completely. He wanted to maintain his neutrality? What kind of kid was this? Did he not see what was being offered to him? She'd do anything to get this kid... now that she thought of it, she had heard of a few attempts to control this kid.. this kid who stubbornly refused every pass at him. It was a wonder no one had killed him or kidnapped him. But as it was... he was to much of a genius to risk it.. they needed him to be with them because he was willing, not because he was forced... they needed his 100%.. not his fear, and Zara was going to attempt to get that right then. The battle could wait.

"Yes.. a battle is going on.. it appears the Death Eaters are taking over the school.. and you little kiddies are in for a nasty surprise when we take over.. I think the first floor is in flames by now... and most of the forbidden forest as well... people keep showing up dead, wounded or missing in action, it is quite the problem isn't it.. and yet.. here you are.. working on your research." She said, and came up behind him, she leaned on the desk beside him, invitingly. "It's very dedicated.." She said lightly, running her fingertips across his arm, looking at him through the top of her eyelashes, which she batted playfully. "You know.. when I first entered, I was determined to turn you into my first kill of the night.. but.. as it so happens, it would be SUCH a waste, to lose such a brilliant young boy.." She emphasized boy, and her eyes darted downwards, before she turned to look at what he was working on, pulling the book towards her.

"Hmm... it's all so complicated, what are you attempting to create anyway?" She asked softly, glancing around at his work, before her eyes settled on him again, dark soulless eyes that burned into his very core, she prided herself on the empty look of her eyes, slightly sunken in, heavy makeup that only accentuated her features, and her lovely body, that was to kill for. Yes.. she was hot, she knew it, and she was hoping he would take the bait.. just one nibble and he would be hers.. all she had to do was reel him in.

Sneaking into the battle Empty Re: Sneaking into the battle

Post by Dexter B Carrigan Fri Jun 17, 2011 12:01 am

Dexter did not like to be touched because, frankly, it freaked him out. However, he loved to be given the credit he was due, and it was long past time someone recognized his dedication to his research and to the genius he was continually trying to bring to life. Why call him a nerd, when 'dedicated wizarding scientist' was much more akin to what he really was. He was eating up her words, flushed with a silent pride as his eyes continued to scan the pages.

But that whole touching thing...

He flinched away from her touch and refused to look at her, gnawing desperately on his lip to ignore her. She freaked him out, for whatever reason. She was making sexual innuendos, he was sure of it now, but he wanted to tell her that she was sooo barking up the wrong tree. Lonely did not equate to horny. "I think getting respect for my work and for who I am might be nice."

Zara let her hand fall when he flinched away. Hmm... he would be tough... "I'm sorry... I guess I don't really know who you are.. do I?" Zara pushed herself up onto the desk, her wand held loosely in her grasp, as though she had forgotten it was there, her eyes fixed on him. "Tell me about yourself... I've heard of you, but never your name.. your quite famous to us Death Eaters... you would be used to help better humanity! We aren't just all about purebloods and raising hell.. oh no.. that's only a few of us.. our goal is much more expanded then that.. you see, we want to help shape the world, for the better! We need people like you to help that to happen though! We need YOU... we aren't dark people, we just use dark means to achieve a higher purpose!" She said swinging her legs gently, picking up a book and laying it in her lap.

"I haven't been with the Death Eaters for very long." She lied, and batted her eyes at him. "But I know.. that with your help, we could raise to the top, and we could make the world the way YOU wanted it.. You would be able to get back at the bullies who have tormented you your whole life.. I know how it is love.. I was bullied as well.. I may not look it now.. but I wore glasses.. and my hair was extremely frizzy, and being in Slytherin, it just didn't help.. I was picked on everyday, I sat by myself.. I should have been put into Ravenclaw.. but that hat has a mind of its own.. and put me in Slytherin... But because of that hat.. I was able to reach my fullest potential... People respect me now.. they don't laugh and poke fun at me.. oh no.. they look at me in wonder, and fear.. and it makes you feel so powerful.. have you ever wanted to feel powerful?" She asked gently, making sure not to touch him, but holding onto the book carefully, and flipping a couple of pages, staring at the diagrams she ran into with wide eyes, as though actually taking in what it said.

Sneaking into the battle Empty Re: Sneaking into the battle

Post by Dexter B Carrigan Fri Jun 17, 2011 12:56 am

Dexter had been determined to stare at his books and his research, too afraid he would lose reason if he looked up at this odd, odd woman. Reason and logic was his everything, and to lose it was to lose his own self of sense. He would cease to exist without reason and logic, he was sure, because it was the only thing that kept him rooted, kept him moving forward.

But as she spoke he found his eyes trailing from the pages, staring out his peripherals, just seeing her next to him, and eventually his eyes slid over, fixed on her hand against the table. But as she continued, he felt more and more compelled to listen. It was everything he wanted- respect, power, to change things, make them the way he knew they were supposed to be.

Finally, his eyes made their way up to her face, staring at her in awe, mingled with fear, because she had to have read his mind. He swallowed and said, "That's all I've ever wanted." Then he felt reason overwhelm him and he dropped his gaze again. "But anonymity is much safer. And that comes with staying out of it."

Zara smirked at his reactions. He was fighting a loosing battle, his eyes trailing from her hand, and from there up it was easy to tell who was winning. The fear, the awe, there was so much there, that Zara felt empowered, ready to tackle the world, he adored her, she could see it in his eyes. Wanted what she offered him, and could reach for it, and have it for his own, and then his eyes slid away from her. Back down to his book, saying something about being safer by staying out of it. Zara could feel her eyes boring holes into his head. Is that how it will be? Fine.. she felt her hand tighten around her wand, which she had made the environment in the room forget was there. It was like they had both forgotten it, so it wasn't dangerous, it wasn't possible that she could curse him now. It lay lightly in her hand, pointed directly at him, but not in a menacing way, merely a forgotten one, but now, her hand gripped, and she aimed a bit higher, straight for his head.

"Imperio." she said as though she had said nothing more then 'fine'. The spell in such close quarters was impossible for her to miss, especially with him staring intently at his book. With just a small grin, she could feel the power in her hand, feel that wonderful light sensation, but unlike being under the spell, she could tell HIM what to do, not be told, she felt power beyond anything else in the world. Lightheaded, and almost dizzy with excitement, she slid off the desk, and moved around behind him. 'you are coming with me.' She thought, ordering him. "turn around..." Zara stared hard at the boy, she could show him that nothing was safer, and if he didn't listen to her.. then he wouldn't be safe.. she tried to make that clear by pouring these thoughts in with the spell hooking them together in their mind. Pouring in thoughts that if he kept refusing them, they would kill him, and it would not be safe. But if he went with Zara now.. he would never be safer, it was an odd way to use Imperious, but it got the job done. "Follow me." She said to him, and turned to leave the room, leaving behind the books, the papers. Zara quickly summoned his wand before she left, and knocked over a lamp in the room, starting a fire over the books, so that the fire downstairs, would have a new starting point then before.

Sneaking into the battle Empty Re: Sneaking into the battle

Post by Dexter B Carrigan Fri Jun 17, 2011 1:27 am

Dexter never saw it coming. He heard the word and his head tilted and mouth opened in full shock, terror shooting through his body before ignorant bliss took over him. For a boy who spent all his time thinking and analyzing, it was terrifying. He was chess played, her did everything anticipating the next four moves. And now he had no idea what was happening next. It was terrible, horrible, scary, and-

Oddly a relief.

He heard the command and he felt himself itch to obey. He listened to her commands, standing, turning, walking towards her, leaving behind his books. His real self cried out to the books, hoping to snatch them all up, bring them with him, but that did not matter. He was not in control.

Dexter had always thought the worst thing he would ever be forced to witness was the burning of books. And now, he was letting her get away with it. For a moment, he hesitated, and his eyes slid to the side to look at his research, as the flames jumped onto a trail of paper leading towards his books. The next second, the spell took precedence and he followed Zara out, the books aflame behind him.
