What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Relaxation on the table Empty Relaxation on the table

Post by Jack Kubin Tue Jan 25, 2011 3:02 am

Jack lay there in the Great hall, sitting at the Ravenclaw table lazily. He propped up his right arm and rested his chin on his fist, spinning his sneakascope on the table, and catching it when it fell. It was his lazy day today. A sunday, nothing to do. He wasn't going to do his HOmework for a while. It was still 11:00am. He planned on procrastinating untill around 7:00, than hurry everything through. He sighed and wished he could send telepathic messages. Then maybe he would impress that girl a few people down from him and actuaally get a date. He wasn't very lucky in that department. Jack slammed his head against the tabletop, completely abandoning any reason to use his arm as a headrest anymore. This was going to be a looong day.

Relaxation on the table Empty Re: Relaxation on the table

Andrew walked into the Great Hall, feeling quite good that morning. He had recently cut his hair to where he always had it before, sort of short yet still had a messy look to it. He also chose not to shave, leaving a sort of managed beard on his face. He once again liked the look. He would most likely shave it off however, due to the fact that there was no reason to keep it. It was actually kind of annoying at times when he would be sleeping and wonder if there was some sort of hamster on his face. But for now, he wouldn't be doing that. For now, he would be heading to the Great Hall to get some breakfast for the day to come. He was still surprised that his old teachers hadn't talked to him about his six month absence. You figure they would at least want to know.

Keeping his regular pace of a quick walk, he armed his way towards the Gryffindor table and sat down in an open spot next to some 4th years. They were talking so fast, Andrew couldn't even comprehend what they were saying as he began to pour some juice into a small goblet. He drank the liquid slowly until he heard a large bang behind him. Getting his attention almost immediately, he looked over his shoulder to see a Ravenclaw sitting at his table but just slammed his head into the table. "You can get severe brain damage by doing that," Andrew clarifyied, half chuckiling and half serious at the same time "and it annoys everyone"

Relaxation on the table Empty Re: Relaxation on the table

Jack heard someone talk. and he narrowed his eyes. Why were they telling him about what he just did? As if he didn't already know. He raised up his head, and stared at the guy. He was already growing a beard, that part was obvious enough. He ignored the guys comment, and, just to piss him off, banged his head on the table again. Jack stood up, smirked at the guy, and stepped over his seat. He walked passed the table and plopped himself next to the 6th year. He couldn't care less what everyone else would say, he just wasn't in a good mood.

"What's your name, dude?"
He asked, a grin plastered on his face. Jack shoved the sneakascope into his pocket, and looked at the guy with fake eagerness.

Relaxation on the table Empty Re: Relaxation on the table

Andrews eyes turned back towards the strange person who continued to bang his head on the table. Andrew for one didn't care if that guy would knock himself out doing that or did he care if he was doing it on purpose to try and aggrovate him. It wasn't surprising some teen would try and do that, but then again, Andrew still was a teen. Just a bit more mature. So Andrew continued to drink his goblet full of juice, until the unexpected happened. The boy sat next to him. Again, it didn't bother Andrew, but now he was wondering why. Why had he just gotten up and sat next to him? Made no sense really.

"Andrew J. Thompson," he adressed, trying to analyze the strangers face. There was a lot you could tell by a persons eyes, and so far Andrew could see some deception. The eagerness that spread on his face was just an illusion, something to keep Andrew under his spell if you will. Andrew had become to paranoid for that to happen. "Yours?" he asked, still trying to see what the boy was up to.

Jack grinned. This time, though, it was a genuine one. He couldn't help but smile at the kid. He blended together his fingers and cracked them simultaniously.

"Look, Thomas, right? I'm going to give you some insightful knowledge. You ready for some smarts worthy of a Ravenclaw?" He asked spontaniously, wiggling his fingers for emphasis. He didn't have a particularly good memory, and he completely forgot Andrews question.

Thomas? Really? This was what a so called great Ravenclaw could do? Forget someones name in less than 5 seconds? Bravo, just bravo. "The only insight I need is how to put my fist in your face if you try to cross me," he said calmly, his voice sounding like his was making a promise instead of a threat. This guy appeared to be way to sure of himself, something that actually annoyed Andrew greatly. People who thought that they knew it all and had to be the one on 'top'. "And it's 'Andrew'," he mentioned again "and I won't be telling you again."

What had gotten into Andrew anyway? He seemed to be too paranoid of things now, he had no idea what the kid was up to, but Andrew had a feeling it wasn't good.

Relaxation on the table Empty Re: Relaxation on the table

Jack nodded, "Course, I knew that. I was just... Er.. testing you... On.. YOur own... name..." He said, each word getting quieter and quieter. He scratched his head awkwardly. Just a simple mistake. Or.. another one. Jack had been questioning whether he had really supposed to be in Ravenclaw. Maybe it was just some trick, and the Sorting hat had just chosen to play it on him? He shook his head, trying to clear his mind. He looked at Andrew as he just pretty much threatened Jack.

Jack just ignored it. He was used to getting bullied. Before Hogwarts, he had been bullied for years on end. He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. He nodded and slammed his head against the table, feeling defeated for no particular reason. He had just given up, perhaps, on life. Just lying there with his face on the cool, hard wood, it felt good. He could just lye there for the rest of his life, without even a shadow of a doubt...

Now the boy hit his head on the table...again. "Christ kid," Andrew groaned "get up. I'm not going to hit you, but I just can't trust most people at the moment. Long story, don't ask. What is your name?" Now Andrew was back into his old mode, where he was friendly to everyone. "Just don't bang you head on the table again, alright?" he asked keeping his face straight and serious. Andrew grabbed the goblet he had drank out of and top another sip of the juice as he waited for the boys name and reason as to why he was doing what he was doing. He didn't ask, but by the way Andrew phrased his last sentence, it should have been an obvious reading.

JAck groaned loudly, and raised his head. He looked at Andrew, one eyebrow raised, while both eyes were squitned. He rubbed his temple and said, "My name is Jack Kubin..." He moaned. Jack really wasn't in the mood for talking anymore, not that he was in the first place... He stood up and searched his pockets, taking out his sneakascope, boxing telescope, instant darkness powder, and a whole bunch of other gags. He finally found what he was looking for. Jack took out two small Snickers Bars. He put one in front of Andrew by his goblet, and ate the other.

Andrew raised an eyebrow once more and looked at the small chocolate bars and other miscellaneous objects spread out on the table. He wasn't in the mood for some candy, seeing as caramel just made Andrew feel sick. "No thanks," he said, pushing the small bar back towards Jack. Judging by first appearance and the amount of stuff he had, it was only obvious that he was a Ravenclaw. For some reason, they always had to have stuff on them, which was smart at times. And the Ravenclaws were smart after all.

"What's with all the stuff," Andrew asked curiously, examining the objects carefully "looks like you about to start the first prank war at Hogwarts or something." Pranking and Andrew didn't mix, but occasionally it was a good combo if Andrew was ever down. But in a way, Andrew tried to avoid pranking due to the fact he was always get in trouble. 90 percent of the time at least.
