Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Slytherin Quidditch Trials. Empty Slytherin Quidditch Trials.

Quidditch was a waste of intelligence so it was lucky that Elijah rarely used his. That didn’t stop him from loathing the game, however. Perhaps it was just a way of getting back at his father. As if living a bohemian lifestyle wasn’t enough, he hated Quidditch too. Elijah was sure that Viktor wouldn’t have minded so much had he actually liked the Quidditch but seeing as he didn’t the man treated him as coldly as Marina did when Elijah didn’t snap back. But unfortunately, by some stroke of luck or a fix, Elijah had been made Captain so he actually had to do something for the team. He was staying Beater, that way he could smoke and hit things at people still. Today was the tryouts and they were honestly the last thing on his mind.

As he waited he wondered idly if there would be a mutiny of some kind. Yes, that would be smart, mutiny against the Captain that could fly rings around all of them. They’d be brave if they did. He learned to fly before he could walk which was probably why his landings consisted of throwing himself off of the broom and landing back on it so he could just step off. His landings weren’t the best. But it was landings, skill and all that jazz that he was testing them on today and the Bludgers were providing the excitement as he was putting a bit of a damper on the event. No doubt he’d liven up after a cigarette but right now he just couldn’t be bothered, he just remained sitting on his hovering broom watching one of the flags flickering in the wind as he waited for the applicants.

Slytherin Quidditch Trials. Empty Re: Slytherin Quidditch Trials.

Post by Dominic Ravenquist-Marino Sun Oct 31, 2010 9:10 pm

Dominic approached the field, feeling a bit uneasy. He wasn't feeling too good, and something was up. He knew something was up, and didn't feel too good. Something was going on, against Eli, and he'd find out what it was even if it killed him. He was protective of his idol despite the hatred displayed by the Slytherin he so admired. Despite that, he'd try and defend his idol, no matter what. So if someone rose to the challenge of trying to do something to Eli, he'd be a guard dog; vicious, with enough bite to subdue even the most foolish of people. He was a determined one, that was for sure. He didn't know he didn't have enough bite to do that, though. He didn't seem like it. Another peculiarity was his feelings toward Eli. They didn't seem like admiration, they seemed obsessive. As if it were love. But he didn't love no man, he liked women, he was fairly sure. Besides, he wouldn't be caught dead in a homosexual relationship. It was too...weird.

He approached Eli and Selwyn. "Hey guys!" He was overly cheerful despite his state.

Slytherin Quidditch Trials. Empty Re: Slytherin Quidditch Trials.

Quidditch, Quidditch, Quidditch....Merlin, it was amazing to think that some people lived and breathed the idiotic sport. That would essentially be his parents. His father because he still played for Bulgaria, although Elijah was sure he’d transfer to Berlin so they could stay there, and his mother because she spent his pay checks. But these people that would be arriving soon were probably driven by the thought of pushing some unsuspecting Hufflepuff off of their broom. Elijah couldn’t say he didn’t think about it on occasion but he didn’t have the passion for the sport. He liked it on high days and holidays but there wasn’t the same enthusiasm he had for say, painting.

But two people seemed to be there on time, wiping away any thoughts of getting a cigarette. Selwyn and his...oh look, it was Dominic. Elijah couldn’t think of a worse pair. The effing Half-Quarter-Fifth-something-Veela that turned Daniel into a puddle on the floor during the summer and his stalker. It was fab-u-lous. If there were two people he’d like to see on the team then it wasn’t those two. Elijah just hoped that Dominic wasn’t trying for beater or something. That would mean that they’d have to talk tactics and he wasn’t sure if he could be in the same room as the guy. He walked into his bathroom for Pete’s sake! His home in Paris – his bathroom. What could get stranger? Or WHO could get stranger rather?

Elijah sighed and jumped off of his broom landing lithely on his feet. “Hi,” He responded, matching Selwyn’s tone. He looked at Dominic and stopped himself from wincing. This guy was...mad. Honestly. Shaking his head, Elijah reached for his back pocket and took a cigarette from his pocket. He put it between his lips and lit the end with the lighter in his jacket pocket. He turned on his heel and walked back to the broom, jumping and allowing it to catch him easily once more.
